I don't really have a problem with the race swaps tbh, but it goes irk me when they say it's such a brave and powerful statement to race swap characters and then cry racism if they adapt a white person into a role that was originally held by a minority. They want to have their cake and eat it too.
The demographics of Hollywood have changed. Most 20th century characters are white, more white than today. To reflect an updated world, more roles are casted with non-white people.
There are already much fewer roles that belong to Black/brown/Asian people by default, so they don't want those roles lost.
Ideally, we'd live in a world where all roles are colorblind.
Atlantis cast is already pretty diverse with Joshua Sweet and Audrey plus all the Atlanteans. It's cool if Kida is a Black lady.
