The Gabby Petito Story on Lifetime was a pretty good movie. The guy was good and Skyler Samuels really did a good job of portraying her as someone with mental issues and not a perfect angel. What's somewhat weird is that this was one of Skyler's first roles after taking a few years off because of depression or something like that. Her boyfriend was killed by a drunk driver and she was one of the last people to see him alive. She practically deleted her social media and went off the radar for years. She must have channeled some of that because the movie is a lot better than most Lifetime movies.

Lisa Ann French was a contemporary case from the 70s where a e-girl got literally ass raped to death by a neighbor. The guy was put in jail, it was a tragedy, people mourned the dead and moved on. The son of a israeli couple who moved from NYC to Denver, he had strange tendencies from an early age including trying to choke himself. As a teenager he progressed to attacking and fondling women although he did not rape them. Glatman eventually did a few months in jail. His mother suggested he make a fresh start in NYC, but he soon returned to his old ways of attacking women. Finally caught in Albany, he spent a couple years in prison in the late '40s. After he got out and went back to Denver, he was on parole a few years. Once off parole, Glatman moved to LA where he posed as a model photographer to lure young women. After four were raped, shot, and dumped in the desert, he was caught when a would-be fifth victim fought back against him. He was apprehended by police, confessed, and sentenced to death in California's gas chamber, where he was executed on September 27, 1959.
