They watch anime moron. It is foreign.
The western voice actors suck dick and there's about 6 of them so every show sounds the same.
The old excuse was that they couldn't read and focus on the show at the same time.
There is still middle class kids that live with their parents and don't have internet access. There is a whole segment of the population that is in this weird economic twilight and circumstance.
By the way, Witch Hunter robin is kino and the song is 90's hit.
Frank's Adventure, that lesbian variant that was around before that guy who made it lost his shit. Dress Up Dolls and Dating Sims everywhere, all this before Meet'n'Frick was a thing
YYH isn't anywhere near as popular as DBZ and Sailor Moon, not to mention it started it's run on the Adult Swim block before it went to Toonami, which had already been airing DBZ and Sailor Moon back to back a few years prior.
It's a very repetitive show. Every episode re-uses the same animations and tends to follow a similar plot structure. It's good but not well suited to binging. You're better off just watching it once a day or maybe even once a week.
I don't even remember which channel I saw the Sailor Moon dub on before the show eventually came to Toonami, but I'm pretty sure the Super Mario Bros. Super Show aired on the same channel
I don't even remember which channel I saw the Sailor Moon dub on before the show eventually came to Toonami, but I'm pretty sure the Super Mario Bros. Super Show aired on the same channel
Sailor Moon aired in syndication as well, so you may have seen it on a random channel.
Isn't Toonami Rewind old? I swear I remember this ad from years ago. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if anything cable-related is still using the same old shit.
I don't think they ever were, and I think OS is (un?)fortunately dead and buried even if I'd kill for more Towards Stars Era stuff, but it's the sort of thing a slightly more ambitious thinker could have done.
I don't know why it's so difficult, everyone who saw Gundam and DBZ also saw at least some of Outlaw Star and Chinese Star Wars is strangely more relevant than ever >and also saw Tenchi, another great lesson in less is more
Ed Edd n eddy, courage, dexters lab, billy and mandy into toonami. Not bad at all
Although it is a bit sad to think about. the west really is all out of ideas isn’t it? They can’t make anything new
It's cheap, and I guess it gets enough viewership to justify its own existence. A hell of a lot cheaper than producing new content.
If they would make a boomer nostalgia 24/7 stream consisting of late-90s/00s Adult Swim/Toonami content, I'd have it on in the background constantly, even if I wasn't actively watching it.
I would have flipped my shit about this about 10-15 years ago, but kind of don't care anymore. These shows are easily accessed online, and there's youtube channels dedicated to remastering and cleaning up the old TOM segments.
I just looked at what it is, and it's a lot of fricking nothing.
Sailor Moon, an hour of DBZ Kai, and then Naruto. Not to mention it's only one two-hour block on Fridays. Who gives a shit? There should have been a 24/7 Adult Swim/Toonami channel a decade ago, but they blew that. This doesn't even move the needle.
Anyway, Toonami has been dead to me ever since TOM told me that I'm an butthole if I don't like BLM rioters back in 2020.
>dubs
Kids can't watch subs because they're looking at their phone half the time.
I've had several zoomers give me this exact excuse
I'm 23 and know too many people who hate even seeing subtitles while I can't watch without them.
Congratulations anon you’re an exception. Also you’re not a kid anymore.
Don't pretend like adults before phones were watching foreign films. That was a go-to gag on how a character was an everyman that wasn't an elite.

japanese can't act. american VO is always better
Not for dubbing, which is bottom of the barrel for voice acting.
Anime fans hate hearing their dialogue in English because it reveals how cringe it is.
To be fair, localization changes the dialogue from what it was in japanese. The translator is a traitor.
Who is this for?
Kids don't watch tv anymore and manchild nostalgiagay millennials are too broke to afford cable.
You can jailbreak firesticks, anon.
There is still middle class kids that live with their parents and don't have internet access. There is a whole segment of the population that is in this weird economic twilight and circumstance.
By the way, Witch Hunter robin is kino and the song is 90's hit.
Millennials need to grow up.
Zoom zoom.
literally all of that is on hulu right now or one of any anime streaming sites committing massive copyright violation
Haha, time for a resurgence of DragonMoon X porn!
Good times
>DragonMoon X
It was a different time when everyone was probably fapping to that, Bondage Fairies, Taboo, and Yuri and Friends.
>Newgrounds' hentai section
I wanna go back.
Frank's Adventure, that lesbian variant that was around before that guy who made it lost his shit. Dress Up Dolls and Dating Sims everywhere, all this before Meet'n'Frick was a thing
It would make more sense if with was Yusuke instead of Goku.
YYH isn't anywhere near as popular as DBZ and Sailor Moon, not to mention it started it's run on the Adult Swim block before it went to Toonami, which had already been airing DBZ and Sailor Moon back to back a few years prior.
I tried to watch Sailor Moon recently and it was boring. Does it get better?

I will try to skip the filler episodes at least.
It's for the shoujo demographic. It's meant for girls.
>Sailor Moon VIZ dub
Eh.....so are they trying to memory hole the DIC dub?
How do you go from this
to this
I don't even remember which channel I saw the Sailor Moon dub on before the show eventually came to Toonami, but I'm pretty sure the Super Mario Bros. Super Show aired on the same channel
USA network, maybe?

I'm not sure. I was born in 89 so I was real young when it aired.
Sailor Moon aired in syndication as well, so you may have seen it on a random channel.
Isn't Toonami Rewind old? I swear I remember this ad from years ago. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if anything cable-related is still using the same old shit.
We might be confusing it with Toonami Aftermath, which is a streaming site
>eating good
>two decade old dubbed shit
The last time this would have worked was the 2012 reboot. Cable is archaic boomer tech and no one is going to watch this shit
>slop for nostalgiagay 40-year olds
no thanks
I'm 40 and I don't care. I've moved on from the old stuff, and the new stuff doesn't interest me.
Do you think you might ever be nostalgic for something or was your entire childhood bitter?
CNX was better
imagine willingly rewatching garbage slop like naruto
Aftermath exists so there's literally no reason to bother with this. Not to mention the schedule is dumb. Get the actual shows and do it right.
>could have had Outlaw Star Sword of Wind
>instead got 4 identical versions of FLCL and Ninja Kamui
gay and stupid
They were talking about doing a follow up to Outlaw Star? That I would have actually been down with.
I don't think they ever were, and I think OS is (un?)fortunately dead and buried even if I'd kill for more Towards Stars Era stuff, but it's the sort of thing a slightly more ambitious thinker could have done.
Maybe someone can convince Demarco to pay for that along with another season of Deadman Wonderland
I don't know why it's so difficult, everyone who saw Gundam and DBZ also saw at least some of Outlaw Star and Chinese Star Wars is strangely more relevant than ever
>and also saw Tenchi, another great lesson in less is more
oh and i forgot anime classics like "Fena: Pirate Princess" and "Housing Complex C." How could I ever forget??
>gundam but the newtypes are now having explicit pansexual orgies instead of it being heavily implied by the subtext
just what i always wanted
Only Kira (And I guess Mika) are allowed to explicitly get pussy in Gundam.

I'm genuinely surprised they seem to be giving Toonami another push. I thought for sure Zaslav was going to kill it off.

Some dude on Cinemaphile is sperging about dubs so hard he's spamming the Toonami thread there with e-girl porn.
I would have flipped my shit about this about 10-15 years ago, but kind of don't care anymore. These shows are easily accessed online, and there's youtube channels dedicated to remastering and cleaning up the old TOM segments.
This kind of reeks of CN getting desperate.
cool cool cool

They cheaped out on Sailor Moon, redubbing it with shittier voices because Canadians are somehow too expensive.
Why didn't SyFy stick with their anime block? Licencing issues or just not enough interest?
not enough interest as far as i remember
however if that one shark isekai manga gets an anime they should air that
So an official Toonami Aftermath? Took them long enough, TA has been going on for ages
You now remember the Chiller anime block. Or not probably.
