There's a top 200 available for paying subscribers. The top 50 is the decent selling tier. As the other guy noted, Superman was one of the on-goings that didn't make the top 50 this month.

Miles morales is on the top 50. Superman isnt. Miles is considered a failure. Superman is considered an unsinkable success.

            >success

Superman hasn't been a success since the 2000s when Kelley/Loeb and MoA were on the books.

The fact that he only has two titles has shown the depth of the mismanagement of Superman under the previous publisher. Previous them, he had 4/5 monthly titles in the 90s. If anything Superman is a massive failure compared to Miles.

Superman hasn't been success since Crisis destroyed him and what made him popular and replaced him Post Crisis with concept that just does not work for character. A "grounded" Superman as in one introduced to us by John Byrne and redefined by writers such as Dan Jurgens Karl Kesel and Kelly Simone simply goes against everything that Superman is so is it any reason that being "Grounded" is why character no longer "Takes off" ?

Instead of fighting gangs on streets, gangsters trying to take over his city, while juggling a wife and kids, the guy should be alone and single, saving the world time and time again from apes invading city on the back of dinosaurs, octopuses from space wearing jet packs and their army of human robot soldiers with goldfish bowls helmets, or teaming up with Hawkman fighting a giant man with planet Thangarr and another giant man with planet Krypton for head as The Daily Planet lays in path of their oncoming destruction. Instead of being embarassed by ridiculousness of character they should embrace it. That how you make Superman successful and popular again. Frick moden comics !

                Anonymous

Kelly and Loeb 's take wasn't grounded. That one had Imperiex, Zod, Emperor Joker, reintroduced Krypto, turned Metropolis into a smartcity using Brainiac tech and had Superman fighting the Elite.

I don't even know why you are namedropping Simone since she had barely a fill-in run for Infinite Crisis. I guess you are one of the terminally online who never reads comics and who thinks she's famous because she has internet clout or something.

The post-Kelly ones really embraced the fantastical. Johns brought back the Legion into Superman's history for example and had Brainiac bottling worlds again, Morrison did his thing for New 52 that featured 5D imps, Superdoom and battling across space and time.

The problem is these fantastical elements didn't move the needle in regards to the sales. If anything the down to earth stuff helped Superman reached the apex of his post-Crisis Sales success with 4 monthly titles. The reintroduction of the pre-Crisis fantasy thing didn't do anything. It only made sales worse.

Turned out there's probably more of an audience for Gangbuster, Bloodsport and Luthor as an evil businessman running metropolis.

DC has been floundering since Didio nuked Rebirth.

      -"Bendis is Coming"
      -Death Metal
      -5G/Future State

Anything outside of Batman is dead because of that bald wienersucker.

Yeah Rebirth is the last time DC seemed solid. And like all their initiatives they ran it to the ground and never really gave it any closure. I know most here hate Johns, but a DC run by him would have been solid imo.

All comics are dead. They only exist because of their daddy companies. Remove WB and Disney and DC/Marvel would’ve shut down years ago. None of these comics are selling.

      Anonymous

I disagree. Without WB/Disney I think DC and Marvel as Privately owned companies as Marvel was, would be more innovative, open to taking risks and doing things that interested fans if for nothing else, survival. Disney makes the company very complacent. Because Disney controls them, doesn't really need the comic division and won't allow it to doing anything.

Marvel was at it's best before they were bought out by Disney. They've been pretty rough since. A few decent titles but company as a whole, poor.

Why bother coming here if you think this? I'm not hanging out on magazine forums telling them their form is dead. Kek. Imagine being this much of a troll.

Reading comics means you’re a schizo whose shunned in public spaces.

They would still make money licensing the character for merchandising and other media like tv/cartoons/games. Disney makes billions off of that.

The publishing is a drop in the pocket compared to that.

All these comics are cancelation tier. Funny how you homosexuals act like these shitty stories being on a made up list means anything when they don’t sell.

Very true and the rumor of no books hitting 100k a few months ago seems like it could be true. But remember that it was said that Ultimate spider-man 3 outsold the issue of amazing that came out that week by double, so it’s not unreasonable to think that means it hit 100k in sales. And hell ALL THREE ISSUES are in the top 50 this month despite the first issue being out for three months already
