Either the plane decelerated to the point he could eject or more likely it has a built in ejection system like some sort of capsule that allows ejection at those speeds.
You have no concept of how fast Mach 10.4 is, there is absolutely no way to safely eject at that speed.
I would bet in some capsule built in the craft that like a reentry pod that allows it to slow down before pulling the parachute. Also who knows what kind tech they have there are reports of some top secret aircraft that has some built in anti gravity engine being tested.

If had would read that story you would see that they didn’t eject and just stayed in the plane trying to slow it down and the plane just disintegrated around them. Also they were only going Mach 3.2.
