Unironically just feels like the old series, they kept the 2000s-era slang and the whole thing is even centered around a fricking bondage fetish. Kind of gives me hopes for the new season. Also this was uploaded 8 months ago and apparently nobody bothered to notice it until now, weird.

Yeah if anything I'm fricking shocked at how close to the original this kept, definitely put aside my fears that this would be watered down or even fully remove some aspects of the original.

Odds are it's either more a placeholder style or it's just a cheaper alternative. As much as many of us may dislike the rounder, thin lined style that cartoons do nowadays, the fact of the matter is the suits push it because it's much cheaper and generally show runners have to accept to get the greenlit. Less money being spent means the company is more willing to fund a new show that could potentially flop.
It's called an enigmatic morons, they almost universally use simple styles because they're just meant to give a basic idea of what the shots are supposed to look like. We already have shots of the fully rendered art style and it looks extremely different.

This is what the finalized style looks like, those are just animatics. We've had these designs for like a year now so I genuinely feel like this might be outrage baiting. I get not liking these designs (even though I do) but the animatic really doesn't represent it at all, it's just a placeholder style for setting up the episodes.
I want to sit in the center of these three goddesses and have them all smother me with their latex-covered asses.
i'm not sure if i like the broken "pixely" outline of their sleeves, it looks like vitiligo or something
