    >go back
do you really think people who go to prison can just "go back" to their normal lives after? nevermind the fact that prison undeniably changes people for life, there's the fact that he couldn't just get his old job back, they're not going to wait for him for over a year, and his family may not accept him fully, especially not extended family.
the reason so many people become repeat offenders is because of how hard it is to reenter society after becoming a felon. forget having a normal job, your options are go back to crime to survive or try and start a legitimate operation as a small business owner.
and some people get accustomed to it and end up not wanting to leave.

What kind of cope is this, like a quarter of the country are felons. They let anyone have low level wagie jobs nowadays

yes, but does a stock broker want to go to burger flipper? Disappoint his family that it used to moderate wealth?
His job at the firm is gone, but was he good enough to get hired at a different firm despite the previous conviction? Doubtful. But I guess possible if he would have only done 16months and the charge was not related to the job.
Anyhow, glad I am not in that system.

your ethnic gang makes you commit more crimes in prison that get you a longer sentence. there's no escape.

      These guys get it

What if you're legitimately an ethically ambiguous mutt?

Whoever. People default to their race but if, for example, a black dude was doing dirt with Mexicans or an Asian with blacks when they were in the streets, that's who they'll roll when locked up.
Shit is racial more so to keep problems between races down than it is to be straight up racist, you know?

a friend of mine went to prison in his very early 20s for gang related shit and it was the best thing that happened to him. he was on a crash course to becoming a burnout or just dead but once he got out he's making bank as a carpenter and has a family/house/the works. sometimes i wish i went to prison tbh

are you aware that you can become a carpenter without going to prison?

yeah but im an old frick now and wasted most of my life doing stupid shit like playing video games. i never had that spark lit under my ass or some kind of life altering event that forced me to leave my comfort zone and want a better life for myself. i never really struggled at all and it wasn't good for me

Your friend is a one in a million case it usually does the opposite for most people.
            >i never really struggled at all and it wasn't good for me
            This is gay talk.
            >muh struggle
Yeah having to put that down on your resume isn't the kind of struggle you want to have in life. It doesn't make you hard it just makes things suck. It's not the kind of struggle that builds character.

Nevada prison stories (ex wood) specifically says there's an "other car" which is comprised of races such as native americans, Samoans, and other races

He also said they are not to be fricked with either. My guess is if you have an imposing stature/potential to be of use to their numbers they may accept you

If you're a little soft bibeogaymer nerd they will probably just beat you up

When you do your time and what board you were at makes a difference ok when I did my time things might have been different to your time. Used to be that /b/ was a good board with some rowdy posters but it was all good, these days that board is no good at all that's where they stick the chomos and incestgays and morons that just couldn't hang on the blue boards. These days if you do time on /b/ then try to transfer to a blue board you're gonna get booked on sight. We're gonna (You) you up and make it real ugly so everyone knows. I do my time on Cinemaphile in /heem/ block, it's a wild place but the posters there are all good. Janny lets us do our thing, we're straight chillin. Now, on the blue boards we got a no porn policy. If you're gonna throw down some porn in a blue thread janny is going to take you off the board for 3 days and the thread is going into lockdown, you're gonna be sitting in solitary crying your eyes out. You'll need to unhoop your phone and post from that to get a new IP. So make sure it's worth it and then sometimes you're not gonna have a choice. Sometimes you gotta put that work in for your people, you see one of the woods posting a stacked titcow? You better jump with them and start posting your own titcow collection son or you'll be getting straight booked by the woodpile AND taken off the board by janny anyway just for being in the thread. I remember when I was doing time on Cinemaphile this was way back in the day before the capeshitters and goysloppers ruined the place, that place aint good no more but it used to be cool. But the jannies there man they would be all over us all the time, banning us even if we weren't posting porn just coz they wanted to frick with us. When you see a wood get taken out by a janny you gotta be ready to rock and start flooding that catalog with off topic shitposts and if you don't jump with the woodpile and keep talking about Television & Film you will be getting smashed out, getting booked, it's over for you.

this movie is about how easily people can ruin their lives in prison, basically it all happened because his lawyer told him that he shouldn't take shit from anybody so he overreacted when some Hispanic pushed him and got hooked on by a local gang and it all went downhill
