I think they are going for a mix of the obvious and less used characters, so the one on the left will almost certainly be Wheeljack, but the average height of the bot with the head crest makes me think the one on the right may be Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen without their usual front door kibble on their backs.

yeah its Ratchet. i initally thought it was Mirage cause of ROTB synergy though.
This is smart, they need to justify yet another G1 reboot so shaking things up seems sensible.

Megatron is the only one I'm 100% sure on, Starscream I'm 99% sure on. As for the rest, it's hard to guess, although Soundwave and Shockwave are bound to show up eventually.
What if they make Megatron a former Decepticon who has joined the Autobots again?
Unlikely, for now at the very least. They are starting at Autobot Decepticon war at earth it seems
It’s a stupid idea to me. Megatron and Optimus together seems way too OP. Megatron not being around is ok, but him being an Autobot’s too much.
Having Megatron become a good guy only works if it's late into the story like with IDW, or in a reboot/sequel where the G1 characters are relegated to secondary roles like in Earthspark.
Based. I just finished reading FunPub's Shattered Glass, and really liked Cliffjumper there. He's just a pissed off midget all the time with the most disproportionally-large ball bearings imaginable, I love him.

in some continuities he is just the shattered glass mirrorverse evil version of Wheeljack. in one he has Armada Wheeljack's colours.

Pretty much every 1984 to 1986 Transformer is recolored to at least one other character, except Shockwave and gun Megatron.

I think his "heavy hitter" role has been given to Bulkhead. Even though they have completely different personalities. Plus the whole "Optimus' old friend" thing is given to Ratchet

G1 Prowl has open police car doors that stick out and would look distinct as a silhouette though, so I highly doubt it's him. As others have said, it's probably Ratchet.
Only way that could be Prowl is if someone took Ratchet's character design, and repainted it in Prowl's police vehicle colors/design

he actually didn't die in the 86 movie. he abd Jazz survived the destruction of the moonbase. he died in Prime and the Bumblebee movie.
Ironic that they had 3 of the 1984 Autobots confirmed as surviving at the end of the movie, but two of them were basically retired from the show anyway because Jazz's voice actor died and Cliffjumper's quit.
it was kind of cool of them not to recast the roles. though both kasem and scatman crothers had distinctive enough voices it was probably impossible.
I feel bad for Kasem, he seems to have been more invested in his role than a lot of others. Same with when he was playing Shaggy in Scooby Doo. Guy gave a shit.
And in Shaggy's case, he was respected enough that when he declared that he would only keep voicing Shaggy if they made the character vegetarian, the studio agreed.

the reason he didn't show up in season 3 was his VA Casey Kasim quit when he saw the script for the Carbombya episode (Kasim was Lebanese) and the producers refused to change it.
It's actually kinda neat how Casey Kasem legit took no shit and wasn't afraid to walk away from a gig if he felt it was wrong to do so; he turned down being the voiceover guy for Soap because he thought the scripts were too sleazy.
