I'm not saying these b***hes aren't stupid and most of their doctors aren't scammers, but you people always compare them with how they used to look instead of how they would hypothetically look right now with no surgery.
I can genuinely not tell of the middle four are all the same person with colored hair or not. US cinema women all look the same for some reason. Not saying the others are better (they aren't), but they literally look all the same like some clones.

I literally got psyoped into thinking Megan Fox was in Last Knight instead was Laura Haddock, they literally look too much alike
Beast Wars was my Transformers growing up, so this one is tempting me, but I get the feeling that the Beast bots are just taking sidekick/cameo roles to the Optimus Prime and the usual Transformers.
Which is especially damning, because that puts them in a third tier position in the movie since the Transformers themselves tend to take a back seat to the humans in the story.
The humans are sidekicks in this movie tho, almost pets, they just get used by the TFs to fit in small vents they can't go into, Elena had like 10 minutes of screen time and didn't do anything of importance
Then her whole point is rendered moot in the climax.
She was supposed to put the code in the console, but that got blown up. Then they saved the day anyway while she did nothing
I know "Autobots meet group of boring humans" is how most of the cartoons go, but don't you think it would have been better to omit that for this movie?
>Make robots look like Bay's walking trashbags of spare parts rather than aesthetic designs based on the cartoons so they're harder for people to empathize with >Give all the dialogue and personality and character arcs to the humans >Include more than a dozen robots, including ones no one has heard of or who look and act nothing like their cartoon versions, thus ensuring there are too many robots for any of them to get fleshed out within the 2 hours or so of runtime
"Audiences tell us they can't identify with the robots; we need humans for them to empathize with!"
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy and a self-perpetuating cycle.
>>Make robots look like Bay's walking trashbags of spare parts rather than aesthetic designs based on the cartoons so they're harder for people to empathize with
The aesthetics are fine for this movie. Honestly the best so far. I can't stand too much g1 reliance
The thing is that Bumblebee's designs were perfect, those are hybridated with the Bayformers which looks both ugly and what you wanted to see, resulting unappealing
I liked Bumblebee's direction for the Seekers the most. They were more readable and angular, but not basic or blocky like G1. They were their own style. Same goes for Shatter and Dropkick(?) too.
Personally I don't like over-reliance on G1 aesthetics. The 2007 movie (+RotF) had the right idea forging its own visual identity, because it helped the movie stand out as its own thing; the 07 Decepticon designs and the Constructicons all FRICK. It's by DotM that they began to lose the plot and the designs devolved into uninspired slop, sadly.
However, doing "just X show but greebly" is also not a good idea; it will always be inferior to the original by default.
Why the frick would I buy a RotB Optimus toy? I'd rather just get a good G1 Optimus toy, since his RotB design is so derivative WITHOUT giving it its own flair. I want Armada/Galaxy Force and Animated's art directions to be revisited on one hand, just like Satan
Honestly, I wish we got more design homages to Animated or the Unicron Trilogy anime
, but I don't think you should carbon-copy something unless it's explicitly a sequel by the same creative team; especially for a movie. The movies should have their own visual identity, and RotB just doesn't. It's an uninspired meeting-in-the-middle of G1 and Bay in the most basic way possible.
Bringing RotB Optimus up again, why did they give him the twin Bay swords? Those worked because Bay OP was a lanky motherfricker so it was believable he'd swing em all over the place, meanwhile RotB is a beefy and stocky dude: it's more fitting for him to have an axe. I mean, I guess he did steal Primal's axe by the finale, but still meh. Point is they merged aesthetics and designs without thinking about it, and it melds into a kind of visual slop, at least to me...
I think he only had the one blade and an axe but yeah, I feel like blades aren't quite his thing. Optimus tends to fight with more precise but powerful strikes so an axe suits his combat style well. Just look at what he can do with an axe in Earthspark.

I liked Unicron and the Terrorcons but I do get your point. Having Unicron show up at the start could work in making sure the overarching villain is set up but it also means that the stakes in later movies might seem miniscule by comparison. I'm not a professional film writer but if I was the one in charge, I probably would have saved the Maximals and Unicron stuff for later down the line to focus on the Decepticons. Maybe replace the Transwarp Key with something else that's able to create Space Bridges with the Decepticon villains being remade versions of some of the original movie guys to keep the big names for later. Like Barricade or Crowbar or Nitro Zeus
We liked it because
a) less characters mean we actually get to spend time getting to know them
b) new thing from bayverse which a lot of us hated
c) transformers designs looked much better than bay's (the cybertron scene especially)
d) actually interesting human/autobot relationship and actually likeable human
There's more but that's the basics.
Transformers as a franchise is just possessed by a malevolent spirit that demands the most nonsensical robots smashing robots shit is written and produced. It was simply sleeping when Bumblebee was released after feasting mightily on The Last Knight.
It should have just been Bumblebee and all the original Maximals against the original Predacons. People love Optimus but Optimus Primal is close enough to Optimus Prime. Arcee is great but they could save her for the sequel. Bring Charlie back (no need for a new girl) and have her join GI Joe along with the new human guy they introduced.
Yeah I read that the reason Transit's scene was removed was because the test audiences found his death scene too dark and too similar to the Bay Optimus' constant murder compared to his more justified killing of Scourge
Apparently the cut scene involved Prime massacring Transit and dumping him into the bottom of a river, which turns out to be a mass grave filled with dead Decepticons that had previously come after him.
Mirage was cool, I liked him more than Bumblebee. I hope they'll stop milking the same two robots and would spend some time to build other characters.
And I hope someday they would put some effort into their villains.
Yeah I like Mirage more than movie Bee. It was actually a smart move I think with killing him temporarily here since it gave us more time to appreciate the dynamic that Noah and Mirage has. Speaking of, I hope Noah stays as the protag this time around, I feel like he's the most likable and proactive human.
Why do the movies always have this shit story? I don't follow them because of this, is this just the common cinema movie plot modern shit has? Why? Are other things too hard to follow? Or is this just a TF issue?
No I meant for an actress. As in I would never describe her as ugly in other contexts, but we expect lead actors and actresses to be more attractive than normal people. But yes if they wanted a black woman there are better looking ones around.
Is Starscream back? I remeber him dying but I never was a big fan of the bayverse due to the asthetics of the bots. I recently have gotten back into transformers. Should I just watch G1 to the Unicron trilogy? The newer shows I missed (2010s era) actually seem really funny and well made ngl
Anon I'm talking about the 2010s not that dog shit. Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime is what I was asking about, I kinda frick with the designs and bits of comedy I've seen
If you want to watch G1 just watch whatever episodes you think sound fun (through the original pilot miniseries and the Movie are kinda mandatory). Or just find a watchlist of the best/worst episodes depending on what you want to do.
The Animes are better watched subbed (except for maybe the Omni Dubs of the G1 animes for laughs).
>it took five people to write this
You mean these cookie cutter scripts aren’t constructed as a fill in the blank style Mad Libs word game for Sci-Fi blockbusters?
I see the theory that this movie was written by Chat GPT AI or things like that.
Is it true now?
I can buy it's generic like made by a computer putting 10 alike plots of scifi movies, but the same can be made by studying some TV tropes pages that some people like
The girl was cute tbh
Arcee is always cute
Keke no.
It's just getting worse with each movie lmao
We saw her black boobies th
>Megan Fox now vs. 2007
What the frick is wrong with women? I know she got old but she went from a 9 to a generic 7 bimbo with surgeries
I'm not saying these b***hes aren't stupid and most of their doctors aren't scammers, but you people always compare them with how they used to look instead of how they would hypothetically look right now with no surgery.
He meant Arcee
Elena is cute but yeah Arcee is hottest bar none. And yet nobody has given her appearance here a suitable dumptruck yet
I can genuinely not tell of the middle four are all the same person with colored hair or not. US cinema women all look the same for some reason. Not saying the others are better (they aren't), but they literally look all the same like some clones.
Is a hot b***h mandatory?
Always was.

Same and I saw it.
Hit the nail on the head, chief.
Airazor doesn't even transform and has to be killed by Primal after Scourge infects her
Imagine if the Dinobots in Bayformers 4 had a smidge more screen time and plot importance, and also talked
That's something, I guess.
But I was more willing to forgive it with the Dinobots because they were already kinda mindless plot devices to begin with.
The humans are sidekicks in this movie tho, almost pets, they just get used by the TFs to fit in small vents they can't go into, Elena had like 10 minutes of screen time and didn't do anything of importance
How do you think Scourge does?
Literally lies, Elena is the cause of everything that happens in the 2/4 part of the movie and she is insufferable.

The thing is that Bumblebee's designs were perfect, those are hybridated with the Bayformers which looks both ugly and what you wanted to see, resulting unappealing
Some of them look okay but the ones we saw on Cybertron in Bumblebee looked great and were ruined, i.e. Wheeljack.
Honestly, I wish we got more design homages to Animated or the Unicron Trilogy anime
I liked Bumblebee's direction for the Seekers the most. They were more readable and angular, but not basic or blocky like G1. They were their own style. Same goes for Shatter and Dropkick(?) too.

This optimus looks sweet with a handheld gun instead of the arm cannon. I wish they kept it.
Give him a bat then
I would agree but I personally think that suits Sideswipe more. He's already the Scout from TF2 but as a car.
They also went back to arm cannons rather than having separate guns again which was really stupid in my opinion.
The more I hear about this movie, the more it sounds like two step backs to Bumblebee's one step forward.
They did the Last Knight Bumblebee thing, he returns to motive Optimus Prime
that's exactly what it is.
Yeah it was sad, like they didn't learn anything from what worked in that movie, or purposely unlearned it.
It was better than Bumblebee. It was actually about the Transformers
Was it?
Bumblebee was about Transformers even without being about it. This is about humans still.
At least Noah and Elena to a lesser extent feels like an actual character instead of being some basic audience surrogate
Bumblebee was relatively small scale, this movie introducing Unicorn, the biggest stakes you can bring to the transformers right after, was a mistake
I heard Unicron is supposed to be the driving force behind the next couple movies
A Unicron Trilogy if you will
Bumblebee sucked. Why do people keep on praising it?
It sucked less than others
We liked it because
a) less characters mean we actually get to spend time getting to know them
b) new thing from bayverse which a lot of us hated
c) transformers designs looked much better than bay's (the cybertron scene especially)
d) actually interesting human/autobot relationship and actually likeable human
There's more but that's the basics.
Like 70% of people do simply do because of 'muh cybertron scene'
Transformers as a franchise is just possessed by a malevolent spirit that demands the most nonsensical robots smashing robots shit is written and produced. It was simply sleeping when Bumblebee was released after feasting mightily on The Last Knight.
I enjoyed this move but the father it went the worst it was
Battles however all very well directed.
>Optimus starts the movie distrusting human
>human actively makes the situation worse
>this somehow makes him trust humans now?
>Best character in the movie
>He doesn't even appear
How does he do it?
Good colors and face.
If they made a toy version it likely would be fricked however.
no decepticons, no watch.
simple as.
There was one that was supposed to appear,
him to be exact, but he was cut out
Yeah I read that the reason Transit's scene was removed was because the test audiences found his death scene too dark and too similar to the Bay Optimus' constant murder compared to his more justified killing of Scourge
That makes me want to see it even more
Honestly same. I really wanna know what war crime Prime committed on Transit
Apparently the cut scene involved Prime massacring Transit and dumping him into the bottom of a river, which turns out to be a mass grave filled with dead Decepticons that had previously come after him.
It's too bad DVD bonus features are basically gone. That stuff used to get released but now it's basically lost media.
More DVDs and Blu-Rays need special features and personalised menus with little animations
They get released on Twitter or YT
sometimes, but that's terrible for archiving.
Mirage was cool, I liked him more than Bumblebee. I hope they'll stop milking the same two robots and would spend some time to build other characters.

>no one is shipping Noah x Elena
>All is about Mirage x Noah
Really shows how audience doesn't cares about more than one human character
No offense but she's ugly (for an actress). And I don't even like gay shit but Noah had way more chemistry with Mirage than with Elena.
>(for an actress).
Say for a black girl
That would mean she is ugly by the standards of black women. Which isn't accurate.
And she isn't?
No I meant for an actress. As in I would never describe her as ugly in other contexts, but we expect lead actors and actresses to be more attractive than normal people. But yes if they wanted a black woman there are better looking ones around.
which is ironic because they cast Dominique because she and Anthony are childhood friends that go way back
I guess that's why they're friends and not exes..
no warcrime prime
no faces taken
no watch
Prime is brutal in it, though.
Netflix Transformers are good
>But...pronouns
It was token and generic, nothing too distracting
Anon I'm talking about the 2010s not that dog shit. Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime is what I was asking about, I kinda frick with the designs and bits of comedy I've seen
