Overhyped OCs that the fangirls get wet over because one is a twink and the other is fujo bait.
Remember the only decepticon traitor they kill that's worth any salt is fricking Ravage. Soundwave is meanwhile a galaxy away when it happens. Furthermore not a chapter later Megatron kills all of them in possibly the biggest Megatron wank scene ever. They basically existed to make Megatron look strong.

Hory shid, This brings me hope for even more cool alternate universe redecos.
The moment they figure out how to get his current body-type, wings and all, to transform into his Dump-truck looking alt mode, so probably never, I mean, where do you even put the finger wings?
People really didint care most of the RID toys at the time and even then I think most people are getting tired of like the same designs over multiple shows and toylines
>People really didint care most of the RID toys at the time and even then I think most people are getting tired of like the same designs over multiple shows and toylines
Either way RID15 sold waaaay better than Prime.
The delay between the show and toys coming out was crazy long. Also the Decepticons seemed cursed.

Of course, most them were weirdos that is no one is going to remember, although soundwave and starscream did look cool.

How many characters from after 1986 actually reached success and became a reoccuring archetype?
Cheetor, Waspinator, Blackarachnia, Nemesis Prime (Placed here since the first black-colored doppelganger was in BWII, even if his name wasn't Nemesis Prime), The Fallen, Hot Shot, Bulkhead, Drift, and Windblade?
RID2015 was largely devoid of charm and worthwhile characters, and those who were worthwhile characters had shitty toys. Multiple times I had to stop myself from buying the RID Stunticon set because no matter how much I liked the characters I had to remember the toys were crap.
I have a lot of nostalgia-love for Seapray because I loved his toy.
I love Kup for being a grumpy old man. It's the personality type I've always liked best.
And I love that he's kind of a legit badass in the heat of battle, and just plain dangerous the rest of the time. "Hey, you know that really paranoid guy? Yeah, try not to startle him, he shot up one of those human vending machines a few days ago."

I love how the only time he ever really got any characterization in the 80s was a cartoon episode where he's acting out and massively more paranoid than we're told is normal because he had a head injury, but it was the only thing anyone had to go on, so it's become his default personality.
>still no Pharma even from 3rd parties
Am sad. Still depressed how I watched seasons two and three of prime hoping and praying hasbro bought jagex's barricade design and was going to use it
Pharma is usually bottom on the list compared to the Big names like the DJD and others like Cyclonus and Thunder Clash, but do not loose hope anon we will get a pharma toy.... one day.
When the original IDW Transformers started, it was doing its best to get across the fact that the Transformers were at their core ALIEN robots. They didn't process things like emotion, family and society in the same way humans did, hence why they were so confused and bewildered by humans and everything they consider normal such as love, television and such. I'm sure this was mostly thanks to Simon Furman and his usual opinions.
This was the core of Thundercracker's character. During All Hail Megatron it was repeatedly shown that Cybertronians didn't understand humans, and after being left behind Thundercracker started watching TV to do his best to try and understand human society. It amused and interested him, but he didn't really grasp any of it past the surface level despite his best efforts to try. He got a dog just because he saw it on TV even.
Then around 2013/14 when the book started embracing the more social media-friendly audience, Cybertronians started being written as much more human like. They had hobbies, they had relationships (mostly gay ones, but besides the point) and they understood things like film and television. All except for Thundercracker, Thundercracker was still treated like the old-IDW Transformers model of not really "getting" humans or human behavior.
What was up with that? Was it supposed to say Thundercracker had some kind of disorder? I can't say I like the idea, but it really feels like it wasn't a smooth transition.
Simple, the reason it was written like that due to Simon Furman, Furman wanted a more alien Cybertronians with no females or the many things like romance that was in older continuities, but of course we did get Trans Arcee out of that which was awful. But of course after he left many writers didint like and grew tired of the restrictions he had and said "Frick it" and decided to give us normal female transformers back and romance.
Yes but that still leaves the question of Thundercracker since keeping his Furman-era quirks really didn't make sense anymore in a setting where all the other Cybertronians are basically written as normal people instead of aliens.

I've just always took Thundercracker as being socially awkward.
I think a good deal of it is just the differences between Barber and Roberts having different takes on the Transformers. By 'season 2' of MTME, Roberts had his cast immerse themselves in human pop-culture so he could have them making a lot of movie and sitcom references, while Barber's book only really has Thundercracker interacting with human culture on that kind of level, and just not getting it, though he did also have that story where Rumble and Frenzy make a movie and humans don't get it, so he was probably more interested in there being a culture clash between the two planets.
From the first description of EarthSpark, I was imagining Earth native Ttransformers are essentially just humans to the point they have they have tongues, sleep daily, and are confused by words like "Klik", "Cycle" or "Primus", while ones from Cybertron go all in on "alien super robot lifeforms that have been in constant war for millions of Earth years" and are seen as terrifying initially. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like the case based on later info and Optimus Prime and Bumblebee being about the same looking as usual.
It was not, it was stupid. >We must introduce the concept of gender to our race >Even tho we call it each other male pronouns.
Also dont forget that Arcee was forced to be female and decided to stick with it cause mindbreak or some shit.
>Also dont forget that Arcee was forced to be female and decided to stick with it cause mindbreak or some shit.
Fool, that's the best part. You don't get this gloriously kinky shit every day.
Hey anon here from the old thread. I have made decent progress and I am currently working on the higher ups in the Autobots and Decepticons, I am thinking on adding Fire Convoy and making him the female yellow one from Universe, and I am thinking for a different name then flame convoy, any suggestions?
Tried to get into Transformers, but I hate the shitty humans. I really hate them. Only Beast Wars largely omitted them. And the new show Transformers Earth Spark having only Black folk makes me want to skip the series in advance. As if we need diversity multiculturalism shit and don't bother, totally hated the shit skins from Transformers Animated, Sari i shit. Being voiced by hypocritical Leftist Tara Strong does not help.
Sari bros where you at?
>The DJD.
What's with them?
They are funny little fanatics that we probably never see adapted into the cartoons.
Overhyped OCs that the fangirls get wet over because one is a twink and the other is fujo bait.

any transformers exclusives announced for BotCon?
Yooo botcon is back?
BotCon? I thought they were gone.
The only exclusive I saw recently was this, for amazon.
That's cool if you don't have any of the toys and even if you have Bumblebee this is a variant with the mask off.
I've been out of the loop, what the frick is this?
Since when was Botcon back?

Hory shid, This brings me hope for even more cool alternate universe redecos.
So when do you think we are going to get a official Nova Prime toy by hasbro?
I think there's a repaint already.
where?
An exclusive from the Collector's club
It is very TFCC at the least.
Please, no one considers that thing to count.
The moment they figure out how to get his current body-type, wings and all, to transform into his Dump-truck looking alt mode, so probably never, I mean, where do you even put the finger wings?
They fold back to become the walls of his truckbed/trailer/whatever. Easy.
Anyone remember this?
Yep
Memories.
We won.
Flopped because The Fallen is a literal who and thus was a subpar Megatron replacement
RID2015 ust reminds me how people continually b***hed about "all they give us is g1" while they ignored OCs
Toy-wise?
Prime completely blew RID15 out of the water in toy quality.
Wait, nvm, I just skipped over the word 'sold' and thought you meant that RID15 was just better than Prime on every front. My bad, sorry.
Wait what.
The delay between the show and toys coming out was crazy long. Also the Decepticons seemed cursed.

Whos your favorite minor Autobot?
I have a lot of nostalgia-love for Seapray because I loved his toy.
I love Kup for being a grumpy old man. It's the personality type I've always liked best.
This paranoid headcase right here. It's like looking in a mirror.
I always loved his idw Design with the glasses.
And I love that he's kind of a legit badass in the heat of battle, and just plain dangerous the rest of the time. "Hey, you know that really paranoid guy? Yeah, try not to startle him, he shot up one of those human vending machines a few days ago."
It was nice the good ol Red alert got some love from IDW, I do find the whole thing that happened between him and Sentinel weird.
I love how the only time he ever really got any characterization in the 80s was a cartoon episode where he's acting out and massively more paranoid than we're told is normal because he had a head injury, but it was the only thing anyone had to go on, so it's become his default personality.
Token schizo with strong attachment to Inferno is useful characterization.

Well, she's Yellow Splendid Convoy in Legends.
True but I need a better name that would fit with the others.
Discharge
That, That actually works thank you anon.
I have also made work on my version of the wreckers, but I have not made progress on their counterparts the Mayhem attack squad yet.
For me, it's Iguanus.
There's something very endearing about "I just like lizards, man"

I wish I could force Hasbro to enforce more G2 representation
Are you getting Leadfoot and Road Rocket? And to a lesser extent Jhiaxus?
Jhaxus will end up discoloring into a lemon.
That is why you need to start learning how to paint toys.
It is a miracle that Electro has not crumbled to dust.
TRANSFORMERS: THE BASICS on BUMBLEBEE - Updated for 2022!
TRANSFORMERS: THE BASICS on SHOCKWAVE - Updated for 2022!
TRANSFORMERS: THE BASICS on VECTOR PRIME
Was there a new one today?
Sadly no, there will probably be one next week.
I want to tickle Strongarm's t-cog until she transforms uncontrollably!
But why?
This is easily the most homosexual question in the history of homosexualry.
my brother is Primus, you are being horny for a fricking robot that looks like man
Well well well looks like Unicron finally decided to leave his cave and grace the rest of us with his presence.
I hope the next Transformers comic is good.
