The PDP episode actually had Felix on and he’s a lifelong fan. It wasn’t mocking him as much as the whole e-celeb culture. This episode flat out calls Logan Paul a grifter who makes a living scamming innocent children.
>and therefore relevant
Desperately chasing relevancy while not having anything substantive to say about a current trend or event has been South Park's major problem since like season 10
Unfortunately he is. He's still got millions of views per video and has people paying attention to him. I don't know how he does it but he seems to be one of those people who just gets to be as abhorrent as humanly possible and not only gets away with it but gets everything out of life he could ever ask for.
if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know matt&trey originally didn't like making fun of things every other hollywood comedy guy was joking about
The Paul bros are now popular but a few years ago it was in style to shit on them and people would laugh at them.
Right now, despite being douchy, they're still successful in their own little niches and people either love them or are indifferent.
>Yeah I love how South Park has turned into a shitty shock version of Spitting Image sans the fun, comfy, ridiculous mountain town kid antics of the golden years
I can't believe people obsessed over South Park >take a popular [current thing] celeb >''HEY IT'S ME! POPULAR CELEBRITY! I AM CRAZY!!! LOOK AT ME EAT SHIT!!! BAHAhAHA I AM CRAZY!!! I KICK A BABY IN THE HEAD HAYAAA!!!''
repeat every episode for 30 years
Some of their very early episodes were kind of amusing and that's about it. By the time they got to Barbra Streisand it was over. >LOOK! IT'S SEMI-POPULAR CELEBRITY (literally fricking who?) AND SHE IS.....ummmm..... A GIANT ROBOT OR SOMETHING!!!!
what the frick did they mean by it >LOOK! IT'S MUSICIAN PHIL COLLINS!!! HE IS A HILL!!!!!
what the frick >TOM CRUISE IS LE GAY!!!! thats it, that's the entire episode, please clap >RUSSEL CROW TRAVELS THE WORLD SINGING AND FIGHTS PEOPLE I GUESS OR SOMETHING
and these are the classic episodes
FINALLY! It's about time somebody spoke out against Logan Paul. Really fresh and original content, fellas
>"Ok, Stephen. Let's hear your new idead, but did you really have to call in the middle of the night?" >"It's about a Black person... who rapes people..." >"Uh huh, how did you come up with that?" >"But he's also gay..." >"Hmm..." >"And has aids!" >"That's actually really g-" >"And his beeping smoke alarm controls his mind!" >"Never mind..."

None of those are the best episodes though. The best episodes of South Park revolve around the boys doing kid stuff that's twisted by a perverse, dark humour. Like Cartman using chat rooms to find new friends, and inadvertently getting groomed, or the boys playing detective and getting dragged into a real '80s action movie police department adventure.
You're just a contrarian homosexual who sucks down the worst something has to offer and then complains about it.
t. ranny
I don't even disagree with you, but the episodes you are talking about are from season 1 or 2, not the 100+ of the other seasons they've done now
The show was amusing at the start. The episode I remember the most fondly is the one where the bus gets stuck on a cliff and they can't exit the bus because there's a monster outside. That was fun, not the episode where Paris Hilton fricks animals and pukes
You're inbred and conceived through an butthole. South park went to shit after season 6-7 and the rest of the showbiz/entertainment world along with it.
>the episodes you are talking about are from season 1 or 2
Lil' Crime Stoppers - season 7
Cartman Joins NAMBLA - season 4
You don't know what the frick you're talking about.
They did a puff piece for the Today Show touting the real life Casa Bonitas that they bought and refurbed. They're old. It happens. They make like 3 episodes a year. Maybe 1 is good. They have a third video game that's winter/Christmas themed and comes out in March. They are way past biting social commentary with a quick production rate.
>humour
Anyone who uses British spelling has no right to comment on anything - not even pop culture related. Stick to whatever boring irrelevant thing you're good at.
They made the Phil Collin’s episode because Matt and Trey were genuinely seething his Tarzan score beat the South Park movie for the Best Song Oscar. Compare that to Michael Bluth sarcastically saying “What a great actor. Yeah, a real Brad Garret.” It’s so fricking petty it circles around to being funny again.
Having to read up on obscure petty drama to get the ''joke'' makes it not funny.
The only petty joke that landed was when they made the Chef a pedophile and killed him because the voice actor quit the show. That was so petty that it was funny with how blatant they were over mixing the voice lines to make him say fricked up shit. One of the best episodes.
Phil Collins hill was not funny.
South Park used to be about mocking pop culture as a concept in whatever absurd way it could muster. Now its just a piece of it.
Like look at this shit OP posted. Shit just looks like a fricking ad, shameless simpsons cameo publicity crap. SEE LOGAN PAUL IN SOUTH PARK
thanks for posting my exact though, fighting round the world was awesome, that moment when hes spying on the basketball americans talking about how theyre probably in a gang lololol
>AIDS BURGER IN PARADIIIIISE!!! AIDS BURGER AND IT AIN'T NIIIICE!!!! >Little gay on Cinemaphile; died alone in the cold dark. From aids and stuff....
How we all doin' tonight?
This but it extends beyond celebrities also. The only thing worse than seeing their wacky spoofs of current events months or even years after they lose relevance is the surge of morons who pop up after the episode airs aping their lame libertarian opinions.
Yes, there hasnt been another generation as gullible as zoomers, mostly because of the internet and social media. Not even the Pokemons or any other thing marketed towards kids on TV was as successful as influencers on YT and the tictoc
Was in my wholesaler today and they had cases of prime for £2 today. Much like everything this "influencers" create its just short lived, disposable rubbish that live of the initial hype
Remember when one of South Parks strengths is they could put an episode out in a week so they could have the freshest takes?
The Prime crazy was like 2 years ago lol
>The Prime crazy was like 2 years ago lol
but Trey's wife's Black person son has brought one home now and he's found out about the whole thing and being dry for material thats seemed as good as it can get
besides, the drink is still selling big numbers so its somewhat relevant
now get this, they're trying to shit on LPaul and his product and for viewers above 30 will get the joke, but any 12 year old kid in US will totally act as an advertisement. Like when I was a dumb kid watching Cartman shit on israelites and spics, the joke was that Cartman is an "le evil racist piece of shit" but we were all cheering for him
They did make some great episodes shitting on people though, TCruise and that TV douche talking to dead relatives and BarbsStreisand got a good ribbing.
The episode was literally called “Not suitable for children” and is full of dickshots.
Besides, no 12 year old is going to commit 45 minutes to one continuous storyline. 10 seconds max.
Matt and Trey both have kids who are teenagers now so it only makes sense these hacks would use their children for ideas now. The new Casa Bonita is fricking amazing though.
I came across the episode where the kids get the Okama Gamesphere because Cartman finds Stan's mom's tampon in the trash. It was still funny compared to their more pop-culture related episodes which back then were far and few compared to now.
South Park has been unwatchable for a long long time. I have no idea how serialization didn’t kill it. The only reason they went serial to begin with is because they’re lazy and didn’t want to wrap up each episode cleanly and then come up with a brand new idea the next week, so instead they just have a couple of ideas each season and ramble about them.
Completely unfunny since 2010 at the latest just like Family Guy and needs to be canceled.
How these shows generate ad revenue is a mystery since no on watches anymore.
Pathetic, almost as bad as that one zombie show Archer.
Stopped watching after season 14. I've heard there's still a good episode now and then, but I can't wade through all the trash to get to them. If it wasn't serialized it wouldn't be much of an issue to just watch a new episode here and there, but so much of the humor in new episodes relies entirely on reference to recent seasons. Every time I watch a random episode now I have no idea wtf they're talking about half the time. Also it doesn't need to be said that the writing has declined dramatically, but so has the voice acting. Trey sounds old, and more importantly, bored or tired. His performance really feels phoned in. Sad.
>turned this on last night >reminded me of helping a pajeet kid get a prime bottle off a high shelf >he was pretty happy about it >realize kids are fricking moronic >fall asleep halfway through
>brag they can make episodes in 6 days and have them be current >make fun of logan paul who wasn't been relevant in like 5 years
Wow trully cutting edge comedy trey
Not just logan paul specifically but they are at least a year late on the whole prime thing. The entire time I was just thinking why the hell did they put this out as a special? The onlyfans and prime could have been 2 separate episodes easily and worked better.
Because they are out of ideas anon. It's why they make seasons long continuity because they can recycle the same "funny" jokes over multiple episodes instead of just one.
The entire point of the episode was that business and media aren't to blame for wanting to frick with kids. Then the show pulls it's punch at the end and doesn't actually reveal "who is to blame". It's implied to NOT be the Chinese or any of the groups mentioned in the auction scene because the auctioneer ends up being the assassin who is working for the big bad guy.
So both of the last two episodes on Paramount+ have featured portraying media/advertising/product companies as good guys who are just victims too. Disney is literally a victim of Kathleen Kennedy. Everyone in the last episode are just victims of whoever wants to influence kids, but for some reason we can't say who that is.
>Crab people
I would accept that if they would use them for a stand-in and actually illustrate a point in the show but instead they just drop it. It was as-if what they really wanted was to get in the dialog about how "it's not the corporation's fault".
SP is notorious for pulling punches instead of saying anything meaningful whenever politics is involved. That's why people want shows of just kids being kids, because when they broaden their scope it never gets a decent payoff. When's the last time they mocked a politician in a funny way? Manbearpig?
>When's the last time they mocked a politician in a funny way? Manbearpig?
the Megan Markel episode mocks British and Canadian political institutions if you consider royals to be such, but they're more of a pop culture stunt I guess.
Mr. Garrison in orange face was of course their worst miscalculation in show history as they fully counting on Trump losing.
Honestly, I can't think of one other than ManBearPig so you might be right, but I've missed a lot of episodes since then too.
SP is notorious for pulling punches instead of saying anything meaningful whenever politics is involved. That's why people want shows of just kids being kids, because when they broaden their scope it never gets a decent payoff. When's the last time they mocked a politician in a funny way? Manbearpig?
>It's implied to NOT be the Chinese or any of the groups mentioned in the auction scene because the auctioneer ends up being the assassin who is working for the big bad guy.
I don't think that was implied at all. The auction scene shows you partially who's to blame - foreign governments pushing their propaganda. The Craig/stepmom scene shows you who else is to blame, parents for not keeping tabs on their impressionable kids, or worse even pushing them into their isolated rooms to be influenced by grifting shitheads. Youtube's bad for it sure, but I think the point would've been made better had they showed tiktok instead. That entire app is just influence grifting and CCP videos.
One was the Chinese govt, another was a CIA-cutout for Ukraine propaganda. I don't remember any of the others. I got the parents part, but "raise your kids" is kind of predictable and boomer criticism so I didn't even mention it.
I agree Tiktok would have been better, especially if they wanted to make a link with the CCP, but I just didn't see a strong link of any kind as different adversarial govts bidding on access to kids while being brokered by one of those govt actors doesn't make sense, at least not in a scene that short. I guess my point is that if there is some tinfoil there, they did not make it clear.
Remember when South Park would actually take an occasional different, interesting stance from the mainstream (see the coffeeshop episode) instead of ragging on celebrities and trends that everyone came to a consensus on years ago? Truly rebellious, maybe they’ll make an episode on Leafy next.
The fights over prime in supermarkets were so long ago, no one has given a shit about that drink in months. South park boomers are so out of touch and lame
I remember almost every episide there was a gag about Mrs Cartman being a prostitute and now they just make a statement about how onlyfans is a good thing for people to supplement their income and move on like nothing happened
they ran out of ideas around season 13
The episode they did about ChatGPT was pretty good
go to bed matt
They didn't, Logan Paul is super popular among young zoomers and therefore relevant, you're just out of touch.
you're out of time
But I’m out of my head when you’re not around
Oh ! Oh oh oh ! Oh oh ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh
you're out of brains
So they're doing the PewDiePie episode again?
The PDP episode actually had Felix on and he’s a lifelong fan. It wasn’t mocking him as much as the whole e-celeb culture. This episode flat out calls Logan Paul a grifter who makes a living scamming innocent children.
Zoomer culture is irrelevant tho. Once NeoZoomers arrive everybody I'll want to forget this era.
>and therefore relevant
Desperately chasing relevancy while not having anything substantive to say about a current trend or event has been South Park's major problem since like season 10
is he though?
or is the the idea of what boomers thinks is popular among zoomers?
Unfortunately he is. He's still got millions of views per video and has people paying attention to him. I don't know how he does it but he seems to be one of those people who just gets to be as abhorrent as humanly possible and not only gets away with it but gets everything out of life he could ever ask for.
He's marrying a bawd, which is also older than him
if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know matt&trey originally didn't like making fun of things every other hollywood comedy guy was joking about
Every single episode now is just taking some popular trend. It wasn't like that back in the good seasons
The Paul bros are now popular but a few years ago it was in style to shit on them and people would laugh at them.
Right now, despite being douchy, they're still successful in their own little niches and people either love them or are indifferent.
>Yeah I love how South Park has turned into a shitty shock version of Spitting Image sans the fun, comfy, ridiculous mountain town kid antics of the golden years
>Spitting Image
How old are you, anon? The fact you didn't say 2DTV suggests late 30s onwards.
What’s more disturbing is you seem to not know that they brought Spitting Image back anon.
Shouldn’t they have made fun of this guy like 5 seasons ago? Who gives a shit about Logan Paul in 2023
This, season 14 was the last full season I watched
Looks like someone hasn't got any Cred
>out of ideas
But chasing trends has always been what they did.
i didnt realize that was even supposed to be him

at least
for me since 2013
Once a show gets into syndication and you’re rich why bother making new stuff ? Clearly the show sucks now
FINALLY! It's about time somebody spoke out against Logan Paul. Really fresh and original content, fellas
South Park was always at it's best when it wasn't trying to be social commentary. Their satire has always seemed really lazy to me.
Is Prime drink that popular?
Yes, there hasnt been another generation as gullible as zoomers, mostly because of the internet and social media. Not even the Pokemons or any other thing marketed towards kids on TV was as successful as influencers on YT and the tictoc
i hope it's not because it's ridiculously expensive
damn zoomers are absolute idiots
It's outsold Gatorade so yeah it's fairly popular and has replaced the sports drink for all athletic media outside of basketball
>Logan Paul
why does it feel like South Park is always a year behind now? shouldnt they be dabbing on Mr Beast? Logan Paul is so irrelevant

here.
the writers pretty much acknowledge that they didn't have to balls to write him off.
on a meta level, they had no solution.
Who the frick is Logan Paul?
This episode was purely "CURRENT THING" references. Message was"adult thing marketed for kids" but doesn't really make a statement about it either.
Completely unfunny since 2010 at the latest just like Family Guy and needs to be canceled.
How these shows generate ad revenue is a mystery since no on watches anymore.
Pathetic, almost as bad as that one zombie show Archer.
they do though, normies watch it and mostly liberal gaylords since Trey went heavy leftie after marrying the Black person stripper
Why is Logan Paul a relevant youtuber? What does he give his audience? How does he satisfy them?

they're cowards but more than that they just don't care and checked out. They got so much money to keep the show going that they're just on autopilot.
ahh geeze cartman, this is just like the time we "went after" kanye west 5 months after it was relevant
>Imagination land
>Crab people
>Unter slaush
Yes NOW they're out of ideas
the world stopped having compelling issues.
I have seen the episode with the fat black female cartman. Are the sequels to the episode released?
