Now They have the Earth Balls(now with 3 wishes and no limit on revivals), Namekian Balls(now with no limit on the amount of people that can be revived), Planet Cereal Dragon Balls(no downtime on uses so can be used multiple times a day, every day as long as you have a radar) and the Super Dragon Balls (can do literally anything) + Whis who'll revive anyone and even rewind time to give second chances as long as Lord Beerus approves.
You don't even need a radar for the Cereal Balls, just do what Goku did in OGDB and catch the balls before the scatter and you'll be able to use them again immediately.

Everyone knows this, but people have a soft spot dragon ball Z because of nostalgia. Just see it for what it was, a nice kids show with epic fights that masked dumb writing. The series is full of retcons and inconsistencies, Toriyama himself couldn’t keep track of his story
