also is even watching this or im the only one?
I am too. I’m surprised Tuca dumped Figgy that fast, but I’m glad they’re not dragging it on either.
>Tuca dumped Figgy that fast
Did she? I don't remember that.
yeah that was cut to the point, but felt right
episode 3 at the end
Ah, okay. Either I was too tired when I watched this episode, or I'm REALLY bad at reading subtext.
I was disappointed that they broke up so soon but I also think she's taking a page from the kara playbook and cutting off anyone she can't handle.
Yeah, I'm glad Kimberly Brooks joined the cast.
I'm behind because all my energy goes to shitposting but I get sleepy the second I try to watch a show
I do
>really nice to hear Matthew Rhys playing another tree person again
I think this guy is becoming my favourite voice actor, you hear him somewhere and you immediately recognize the voice
All the sight gags in this latest episode were fricking hilarious
I was getting annoyed at the snake bit quickly, but they went somewhere interesting with it.
They didn't need to put that little top hat on him. But they did, and its wonderful.
What was the metaphor here, anyway? Was there a metaphor here?
I really like this dude's design for some reason.
>there's gonna be a speckle episode this season
can't wait. Also can't wait for leaf raking next
>speckle continues getting ignored
He's gonna snap isn't he?
Best boy deserves attention.
>He's gonna snap isn't he?
Most definitely.
I can only hope
Bertie is cute! CUTE!
She seems like a pain to deal with tho. That pussy better be fire.
Can't speak on the birdussy, but dat ass can get it.
Because the characters are drawn in a body positive kind of way I have no idea how Tuca and Bertie would look like if they were humans
Sometimes it feels like Bertie’s bust size fluctuates a lot depending on what she’s wearing, but I guess that happens with some women.
>no HBO Max rips despite each episode being made available there mere hours after premiering on Adult Swim
I hate it here
>mere hours
Takes about two days around here.
>TV-MA
Impressive.
I'm seeing a 720p rip on rarbg that says the source is HBOMax, but yeah, not finding any 1080p.
Any guesses on what's causing Tuca's chronic pain? Endometriosis feels like it'd be it but why wouldn't a hospital be able to catch that?
It's sadly pretty common for doctors to not be able to catch pussy problems for a long time. result of not taking the patient seriously. could very well be endometriosis
It's really hard to diagnose endometriosis, you need very invasive surgery
Could be menorrhagia. I have/had that.
So is Tuca's auntie dead? It seemed really odd she was at the same hospital Tuca was at. It's like Tuca's imagination or something.
I think they just live in a town with one major hospital because it’s a cartoon and fictional towns can be simple like that.

"Salad Days" sounds like Kino
>Tuca could have enjoyed pants if somebody like her good buddy Speckle had eased her into them on her own terms, and then Kara came and ruined pants for her
How does Kara keep continuing to be the worst?
she's a seagull, she's just living up to expectations
all we need now is a serial raping frat-boy dolphin who likes to get high
dolphins suck and I hate them, those MF's (try to) drown people for fun
Guys, I’m not prepared for Speckle suffering.
Ok
birds are pretty cool ngl
No they're not. They're annoying c**ts. I'd light might six parakeets aflame if not for my girlfriend. Our chickens and turkeys too.
Oof, sounds like the two of you need better communication then. Not the safest environment for all those birds otherwise.
Also you just reminded me of one of my favorite Tuca & Bertie incidentals. Hope we see her more often.
I hate birds, but I’m still a member of the audubon society because my boyfriend signed us both up.
Have there been more scene of Bertie jerking off? Otherwise I am not watching.
So what's the Cinemaphilensensus? Is it better than, worse than, or on equal footing with BoJack?
It’s definitely more visually interesting, I’ll say that.
More visual interesting
Equally funny (low bar)
Less depressing
Less interesting in the plot department
Aimed to girls and plot points tend to be about girl things (that troonys will never understand hahahaha)
Would say its worst than bojack but more wacky and light, but im a man and not the core audience so maybe some jokes fly over my head or something
I do enjoy the boyfriend, cool guy the girls dont threat him good enought
I enjoy it more because I like how surreal it is but everything makes sense in universe.
makes sense in universe
That's why I fricking hate Birdgirl
Also so bad there's only one decent episode per "season"
Also the characters are mostly ill defined
As someone who deals with a bunch of chronic pain shit (and pretty bad period stuff!), with some of it starting to become disabling, the Pain Garden episode hit way too close to home.
Surprisingly, I've almost never gotten a doctor who told me losing weight would solve my problems, even when I was actually obese. I can confirm that weight loss has not solved my overall pain or period issues, if only it were that simple.
Damn sorry to hear that, as a person without an uterus I can't imagine what it is like.
one thing which confused me was that Tuca canonically laid an egg and became egg bound, so technically they're working like birds
so, I wonder where the blood comes from and why they have to wear tampons
I thought they laid eggs?
don't worry, I didn't get it either
Tuca’s chronic pain issue came off very strongly as something they came up with later in the show, and not a thing they had any big plan with, or had ever originally intended for the character. I didn’t feel like it was well thought out. Personally, I don’t mind that it fricks around with the mechanics of the bird lore of the universe or whatever, but I don’t like what it does to Tuca’s character this late into the show. We had two full seasons of her before they suddenly decided to slap on the fact that she has a serious physical disability that greatly effects her day to day life, and they just want us to believe that everything we had seen about her prior always coincidentally happened to take place on her one good week out of the month, and despite her having a crazy party girl lifestyle that really looks like it demands a lot of physical stamina most of the time.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the choice for the representation aspect and raising awareness on a serious women’s issue. But I just wish that they had either chosen a different character or thought to put this in to Tuca’s backstory sooner.
I think it also has to do with the creators never considering getting a third season or even a second one
probably thought:
>One season done and gone
then they were like
>oh, okay a second season, yeah, we can do that
then suddenly
>w-what? a third season? oh shit, quickly think of a woman's issue we can throw on the wall and play paper- rock-scissor on whether Tuca or bertie get it!
ignoring the Tuca issue, the snakes were kind of funny, one even had a cute little hat
I really like how creative they can get with the world building
>the CAT-scan
>the dying hive and every bee thinks they're the beequeen now
I only watch this show for Speckle and occasionally Tuca, but only in small doses
Is Figgy and Tuca’s relationship really over already? That was much faster than I was expecting.
Tuca's relationships never last, ever
I hope falcon girl is coming back
