                Billy obviously impregnated her.

That, detective, is the RIGHT question. That's the thing that I find most compelling about the mystery of Audrey. Who Billy is, what's up with her weirdly proportioned Husband and why she says the same quote that the Arm does in the first episode of S3

That glass box irl at the beginning? Traps the prostitute of Babalon from the Jack Parsons ritual at the White Sands nuclear test sight IN the show and Laura is swapped out in her place, at a price; Diana & Acteon myth

Audrey was supposed to have a spinoff series going to LA to become a movie star as Frost/Lynch intended. That became Mulholland Drive. They teased Mr. Horne as 'the killer' in the original run ads; she's the dreamer, and the Carrie Page/Laura's scream at the end is simultaneous with her in the white space looking in the mirror. Laura & Donna are two idealized halves of her.

        sophistry
what meaning people ascribe to it if any depends heavily on the content. lynch makes no statement he provides ambiguity for the sake of ambiguity without any resolution.
it leaves gullible people puzzled about what's inside of his empty held-out fist when the answer is
        nothing

Literally all art is an abstraction. People will have different feelings watching any piece of entertainment. Lynch just goes more abstract that others, but he does generate feeling. It doesn't work for you, but you seem weirdly insecure about it working for others.
