        Anonymous

Sadly whatever high budget movie he ends up in is likely to tank because the script etc. is just shitty. Good for him though that he's making money out of it, but it's disappointing that Hollywood is pushing just these kinds of movies for fresh actors like him. I heard some okay things about the hitmen movie he's staring in, but a lot of the time he's just being typecast as the enthusiastic guy who can't rid himself of his Southern accent no matter what role they put him in. It makes someone eyecandy and nothing more.
I just miss the times of good original drama movies, or at least anything that is not "we made this movie just so we could put the CG department to work fulltime again" and have actors show some range playing different kinds of character than just "she's /he's hot".

He's got that Paul Newman look. Strong jawline and good looking but not particularly handsome.
And with Timothee and Holland not being masculine looking Hollywood is probably desperately searching for a new younger leading man that audiences like to push everywhere. And he probably won't ever win any oscars but he's a solid actor.

He is 35 though so if he doesn't watch it he'll fade fast as frick.

          Anonymous

His hairline looks like it's starting to move so he'd probably need a piece. Propecia and minoxidil are crazy effective if it starts on the scalps and you begin a strict regimen soon as you begin noticing it. Like I used to work with a dude in his mid 50's that had a nearly full head because he began rogaine in his 30's and rarely missed a dose. But genetics does also play a part in that.

Not so effective if it starts on the forehead though.

Word is the movie was actually conceived as a direct sequel with the lead girl being Paxton and Hunt's daughter, but there was some sort of falling-out between Hunt and the studio and they axed all that and made the sequel standalone.

Good. When they were filming the first one, all she did was talk shit about us and everyone hates her for it.

They told me already that tornadoes are real and they've seen tornadoes themselves with their own eyes
idk if I should take this job
I don't want to get smacked by a flying cow

A tornado is not going to appear out of nowhere and >nothing personnel you. News stations out here treat severe weather like live sporting events. Unless you live in a cave with no TV, internet, and human contact then you will know full well when there is severe weather in the forecast and if there is even a wisp of a tornado
        t. Moore, OK resident

          Anonymous

This anon is correct. Miami had a severe storm last week and ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, all interrupted local programming for 30 minutes of live weather broadcasts because the National Weather Service was putting out Tornado Warnings for part of Miami. The weather girl on CBS Miami sounded like what I would imagine her first blowjob sounded like. Scared shitless. It was kino.

Twister was very popular. This also is clearly not any kind of direct sequel, it's just another team of stormchasers and some tornados. You don't exactly need to have seen Twister to see this one.

          Anonymous

I know it doesn’t seem like it, but Twister was incredibly popular. It was the second highest grossing film of 96, behind Independence Day. It was the first movie released on both DVD and Bluray, because the new formats needed a film that would have a high adoption in case the formats flopped and didn’t replace their predecessors. It’s a ridiculous movie and far from high art, but it’s sure as hell popular.

I lived in South Florida for 35 years and only got hit by two major hurricanes. Andrew in 91 when i was still in diapers that just missed our city and hit Miami, and Wilma in 05 when i was still in diapers that hit our city. We lost power for two weeks. I've never seen a tornado in person and Florida is the 3rd most tornado prone state even though most are weak and or water tornadoes. Also I'm pretty sure another major hurricane that just missed us a couple years ago caused a small tornado that made a tree fall on my car. Car is still alive though, no damage. Im scared shitless of mid west tornadoes. They are no fricking joke. Good luck anon.

Coastal tornadoes are like little babbies. I accidentally drove next to one a few years ago, and the worst it did was smack my car with a few branches that didn't even really leave scratches. Then another one went right by my house, and it knocked over lawn furniture.

But when I lived in Oklahoma you lived with the knowledge that any warm day could end with you getting deleted by a tornado over a mile wide.

It'll be fine, don't freak yourself out. I was at a bar with one of my friends when there was a tornado watch issued for our county. He immediately receives a paniced phone call from his wife who had moved from a non-Midwestern state. We just laughed and told her not to worry about it unless there was a sighting or the sky turned green.

i moved to Indiana as a kid from the gulf coast. we'd get big scary thunderstorms and tropical storms, occasionally hurricanes, but tornado weather is EVIL. and the warnings/watches constantly interrupted TV, like every fricking time it rained basically they'd interrupt my shit with these gay ass warnings because they didn't want to be the network that didn't tell people. nothing ever happened either.

I don't watch regular TV and I haven't seen a commercial in years because I download everything and watch it that way without any ads etc. The biggest scare I have had maybe ever was last tornado season when my phone started freaking out with that same awful noise they use for amber alerts because there was a big one coming right toward where I live (which is super rare, I'm outside of the alley). I looked at my phone, ran to my window, saw a funnel starting, and grabbed my dog and my go bag and hid in the basement for hours hoping not to die. It tore a bunch of stuff up around here but missed my place with the worst part. Fuuuuuck that shit. I never want to deal with that again. I lived in coastal Florida for years too, had tons of really bad hurricanes come through, it is nothing like a tornado.

I had a commissioner who had a thing for women getting sucked into tornadoes. He was specific that they had to be hanging onto each other, in dresses and barefoot. Always terrified and crying and about to be sucked to their deaths. I didn't care it was fetish shit, but I lived in tornado alley and always had a fear of twisters. One day while working on the commission we had a tornado warning. Working on it always made me feel anxious. After I handed it off he wanted to keep commissioning me and I told him never again.

I think studios do this so they can have stronger control over the film itself, since the director would have little clout with which to assert themselves. But, unlike using some nobody hack, they want someone that seems competent enough with filmmaking as a process, even though some directors don’t scale well to the big budget projects.

    >Much of the neighborhood was completely swept away with little debris remaining, with what was left being reducing to small and unrecognizable fragments that were dispersed over a wide area. The lack of large items that were recovered, and the granularity of the debris was indicative of the sheer strength of the tornado. Due to the tornado's slow movement, homes near the center of its path experienced tornadic winds for approximately three minutes. The mostly wooden-framed residences, some well-built and anchored, were completely obliterated and swept away, leaving behind concrete slab foundations swept clean of all debris.

    >extreme ground scouring occurred, reducing grassy fields into wide expanses of mud in the most severely affected areas. In some cases the ground was scoured out to a depth of 18 inches (46 cm). Vehicles in the neighborhood were tossed and mangled beyond recognition; at least six were found flattened in open areas and coated with mud and grass. Some were thrown as far as a 1⁄2 mile away, and others were torn into multiple pieces of unrecognizable metal.Trees in the neighborhood were completely denuded and stripped entirely clean of all bark as well, including one that was found with an electrical cord impaled through the trunk.

    >Bodily remains were later found at 30 locations, and the physical trauma inflicted to some of the tornado victims was so extreme, that first responders reportedly had difficulty distinguishing human remains from the remains of animals at the site.

The EF5 Hackleburg tornado of 2011 JUST MISSED a nuclear power plant. Imagine the outcome of that.

The filmmakers should've tried to get this type of tornado in the movie. They can even 'personify' it considering the 'dead man walking' vortex look.

I know what's wrong with this sequel. None of these people look like geeks, weirdos or nerds of the meteorology world. That's why the original is appealing, the main group are a bunch of science nerds.

yeah maybe 30 years ago when the movie first came out. Since then tornado chasing has become a very popular hobby and literally anyone can do it. People complain of traffic jams on country roads during a storm because of how many people do it now.

We had a tornado barely miss our house in like 98. We live in the country and it absolutely flattened the field about 150 yards from the house.

    >grow up in southwest oklahoma
    >watch twister
    >laugh at the morons on screen
Bros, I used to sit on the front porch of my grandparent's and watch tornados go by. The only people that panic during one are morons and "city folk", the rest of use drink sweet tea and only head to the cellar if it starts heading towards the house.

An F0 is like a heavy wind of 60 mph and an F5 is like 200mph or more and ranges from 200mph to insane freak weather even that will level a city.

Of course they are rare and not every day like the movie shows but it wouldn’t be a fun movie if it was an F0 would it

I don't think they can pull this off without Bill Paxton. The man carried that film
