and?
It begs a certain question
>It begs a certain question
Yeah, about why ~~*certain individuals*~~ are so obsessed with gay stuff.
That's not what that phrase means
>two major roles
what? not remotely true
He got an Oscar for one in a movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
The other for what is now considered a masterpiece in cinema.
What would you say tops Mystic River or Shawshank for Tim Robbins? Surely not Bull Durham or Code 46.
>Oscars
>using that as the arbiter of what constitutes a major role
He played the leading man in a lot of watchable/more than watchable/kino movies. I think Jacob's Ladder is deserving of a major role
>What would you say tops Mystic River or Shawshank for Tim Robbins?
NTA but he's awesome in the Player and Jacob's Ladder but they're nowhere near as high profile or as well known a role as Shawshank.
Damn, that's a high bar for what's considered a major role. I guess most films don't have anyone cast in a major role by your metrics....
How can you be so obtuse?
Tom Hanks when you're on a budget.
No.
Go back.
>two
what was the other one? the hudsucker proxy?
Mystic river
i am of the opinion mystic river is not a very good movie and 50% of that is penn's shitty acting.
Penn was definitely one of the weaker parts of that film. Even the deaf chucklefrick kid put more effort into his work.
Isn't he freakishly tall? He never has to care what anyone thinks
was the beer cold? if not this was no prize. warm beer fricking sucks.
yes it was cold
tim robbins should've had a cameo in top gun maverick since he was mav's nav guy
He explicitly states it was cold.
I thought it was dumb that Shawshank didn't even have ONE of the beers though. It's like he wanted to make the other guys feel awkward or bad or something that he did all the work to get them the beers and then they drank them all and didn't give him one.
he was an alcoholic
>I thought it was dumb that Shawshank didn't even have ONE of the beers thoug
He got drunk after he realized his wife was cheating on him, this was also the day she was murdered and it ended with him in jail. It was used against him in his trial IIRC. He associates alcohol with the worst day in his life so he swore it off.
>and didn't give him one
They offered, he refused. It was fine.
In the movie it was “ice cold”, in the book it was “piss warm”
Tbf, he does look very submissive and breedable.
Would.
He's like 6'5"
>two major roles
he didn't get sodomized in neither Jacob's Ladder or The Hudsucker Proxy??
I saw him one day in the French Quarter with a woman young enough to be his daughter. Tim Robbins is based.2gkt
I hate this mumbling bastard so much, he's the worst part of every movie he's in - his shtick just so happened to work with the role in Shawshank.
this homie played a child molester in 2 films and a regular rapist in another one
3 rape roles
He lost that big titty lady so he is a gay
He already used her up in her prime
Did he actually do the murder or is it intentionally left ambiguous
he did, the whole thing is a convict fantasy. the kid coming who just happens to have been in a cell with the actual murderer, only to get shot by the evil warden, is ridiculous. White version of dindu
I think it would've been better if it was left ambiguous. Don't have the flashback of Blatch confessing to Tommy. But I guess they thought that was too much for normie audiences.
No he did not.
That’s your interpretation, but that’s not canon. It’s not like it’s supposed to be a true story, it’s just a fictional story set in a Stephen King universe. Weird shit is expected.
In the book the thing that’s ambiguous is Blatch. He says the wife he shot was married to a hotshot lawyer, but they figure to an ignorant criminal like him lawyer and banker are two high paying fancy jobs he could have gotten mixed up.
He doesn't appear to mind very much.
he was the guy in Jacobs ladder? damn
