At this point I'm almost certain she's just sticking to her chair to publicly humiliate Doomcuck.
Any other producer her age, with her wealth and career, would long have retired. Kinda funny to watch how she'll most probably hold onto that position until she's physically unable to, and even then Doomcuck and his fanboys will pretend that they've "won" and "were right all along". Provided that she does't survive all of them, of course.

The feminine births. The masculine actuates that which exists. Femininity is resources, masculinity is what turns resources into wealth. Anything that's being used in a practical manner has elements of both.

As if they're thinking about this on any level deeper than their neo-Marxist idpol victim class vs. oppressor class bullshit. Their ideology literally prohibits them from objectively analyzing what femininity even is.

Nothing, it's baseless drivel stuck on an existing concept. These people can only corrupt, they can't come up with an original idea if their lives depended on it. This is what a march through the institutions, nepotism and cultural warfare looks like.

Judge women by their merits just like men. That will naturally result in some number of women at the top that's not as high as it is right now, and that should be seen as fine. Men are highly competitive, derive their sense of self-worth from their work and their wealth (humanity's survival strategy; nothing to look down on), and tend to either be very smart or very stupid whereas women tend towards the middle.

I'm not trying to say that you'll have an equal number of men and women at the top in a meritocracy. Not even close, and that shouldn't be the goal. I am saying that we wouldn't have Legacy of Kain or Fullmetal Alchemist if women were just outright barred from leading major projects. Just have a customer-oriented meritocracy where worthy people rise to the top regardless of their immutable qualities, and frick social equity (AKA idpol communism).

Bro that ship sailed long ago, Indiana Jones is over, Star Wars has been milked so much is not only dry that shit has been reduced to dust
They even killed Willow, not that it needed a sequeal to being with
It's unironically over for Lucasfilm, they might squeeze a few more star wars shit, but it's gonna be like jerking off when you have jerked off too many times already, mostly painful and nothing of substance comes out

Will shills negate the existence of the willow show now that Disney pullet it off from D+?

          Anonymous

Pulling Willow was a warning from up high of what's to come if Indiana Jones doesn't make $800 million which is the lowball estimate of what it would need to make a profit. Of course, Bob Iger's worst fear was that Indiana Jones 5 would only make like $600 million, but the bottom fell out in a way that nobody at Disney could have anticipated even in their worst nightmares. Iger was threatening Kennedy that he would not protect her from the board if the movie underperformed, but it failed so badly that he might not even be able to protect himself.

The immediate future of Disney is going to be more layoffs and higher park prices. Executive heads will roll though, and the activists investors will likely try to get Iger replaced. If things get bad enough that rumor of Disney prepping Lucasfilm for a sale might not be that far fetched.

I think they'll be smaller stories that'll actually focus on stories related directly towards the fandom like Mandolorian did season 1 before Kathleen got her hands on everything. They'll look at some of the Star Wars comics or base it off Knights of the old Republic to drum up some interest. If it becomes successful that's when you start to worry when they try to appeal to the masses and everything becomes generic

It literally doesn’t matter. Every Lucasfilm IP is already destroyed beyond saving and whatever incompetent hole they promote to her position will be just as bad. Just let it go. Let Disney continue to kill itself and just accept that all those franchises are buried.

What I hope happens is that investors ask why Iger and Iger's people have allowed KK to run Lucasfilms into the ground for ten years straight as they move to oust him. Iger suffocates in a web of his own making, unable to escape, destroying the myth that he's some kind of executive genius. Then Kennedy can just sit there as a lame duck, knowing that her legacy is going to be as the worst major producer in Hollywood history and the zenith of privilege.

Star wars has been complete shit since return of the jedi. But I gotta say the homosexuals that are sure that she's getting fired every other week is probably the best thing about anything lucas films these days. Please never stop being moronic and assuming that one person will have any effect on the quality of your precious star wars movies

I think ol' Doomwiener actually has her number this time. This puts Star Wars, Willow and Indiana Jones all in the tank. Iger will be running damage control for her during earnings calls from now till kingdom come if he doesn't release her from Lucasfilm. I expect it will be framed more along the lines of planned retirement in the media

Engagement with the material isn't required to establish that this over promoted secretary and Eiger fricked Disney shareholders out of more money that either are worth alive. And if they were engaged they could have intervened by no later than Solo to turn it around.

You know there's like actual verifiable leakers right? They don't get as much traction as they aren't just out for money, they have actual integrity.
IDK why people even bother with channels like DenofNerds, they aren't verifiable, they get traction because they just say what people want to hear.

My prediction: Over the next five years, Disney will get cut up piecemeal to pay for their debts. Lucasfilm will get sold, because people are done with Disney Star Wars. Marvel might get sold. Pixar might get sold or shut down.

Ultimately, Disney will need someone who's a creator with a strong creative vision for revitalizing Disney in the eyes of parents and children instead of a sleezy parasite like Iger or a weak administrator like Chapek. Whether they get that is a dice roll at this point. If they don't, Disney might be somebody else's subsidiary in ten years.

The only man who could save Disney... is Walt himself. How soon do you think they'll unfreeze him, bros?

        Anonymous

There are plenty of creative sorts who share Walt's values. Problem is, they're the bane of the kinds of people who's idea of a good time is Epstein's island. Things are so dire that this doesn't mean that they have a 0% chance of being able to force their way in, though. Organized pushback keeps looking stronger every year.

I honestly don't know that Walt would have been the best at cleaning out an ideologically corrupted company. He was too hands-off in terms of politics, which works a lot better when you're not dealing with emboldened saboteurs on the inside and BlackRock/the WEF/the UN/etc. on the outside. If you think that the latter groups would just give a little smile and say "Well, that's the free market!", you might be moronic.

How can you look upon the collective work of JJA, RJ and KK and not be amazed by just how fricking BASED it all is?
    >Oh no not my starwarzerino!
Frick off. It is far more glorious to burn down this manchildren abomination of a cargocult franchise than to let it linger on as a souless DCU-tier zombie that "da fans" craved for.

Because that is literally what being based is - to do shit that many would find unacceptable with no care or consideration, instead driving forth with your own vision, no matter how shitty it is. You HAVE to be based to officially say that "Da force is female" to a fanbase of mostly male manchildren. You HAVE to be based to make E8, a film that the whole world waits, into an experimental collage-grad flick. You HAVE to be based to burn down literally eveything out of spite with E9 just so YOUR version of the sequel trilogy gets the last laugh.

the original plan was Tron, and tron for the parks. Then Universal got HP and the rest is history with SW. If you see a pivot to Tron content, star wars is demoted to D+ filler and they wwill quietly shuffle KK

              Anonymous

Yeah, disney still has near infinite money but they definitely arent happy about this movie's performance as they were probably expecting something like top gun maverick levels of success and they're definitely feeling what's likely a 400mil+ deficit and killing Indiana as an IP. Just et people enjoy the cope that corpos are losing sleep over one movie flopping when one of their next 30 churned out movies will make enough profit to make up for it.

                Anonymous

Of course they are not happy but this is the problem you have when every decision has to go through a corporate committee and every product is a very safe 2 hours long commercial for your merchandise. It's really simple, make a good movie and people will watch it. But that requires courage to invest $300M+ and let artists make decisions which is a complete nightmare for someone with a nice suit and private jet. They want to sell art, but they want to play it safe, like an investment opportunity. Even when you compare the CGI Lion King with the original Lion King, there is so much soul sucked out of it and it's replaced with pride.

That stock used to be at $200 and now it's being propped up by institutional whales aka uncle joe

Their stock used to be that during the height of the pandemic when people weren't going out and Disney was overvalued. They are at their prepandemic levels now.

                Anonymous

Playing by the number is safe and boring but theres also been times when they gave director complete creative control for certain big budget capeshit like the eternals and wonder woman 84 and they were somehow even worst than the committee made films. The real solution to this is to go back to moderate budget movies with moderate box office expectations. Because with big budgets, everyone want to gamble big and win big so corporate is too scared to not run thi gs by committee and do things like make original IPs and not recycle old franchises from 50yrs ago because they have an install base

                Anonymous

Maybe you are right but then there are movies like Terminator 2. I don't think a project should rely on one man's decision, that's why I said artists. Because it really is elaborative process. Now you will disagree with me on this but I enjoyed Eternals for what it was and saw potential in it underneath the pile of shit on the surface. I liked the art direction and the sense of journey there was, ignoring the unfunny quips and propaganda smeared over the movie. Eternals feels to me like good core ruined by a committee group. It was the first capeshit movie in a long time that made the ending a moral problem one way or another, because either the humans survive but a new godlike being that would create billions and billions new life planets would die, or vice versa. It was an interesting concept.

      >how are things going to be better without her?
This is a good question, actually. The only way Lucasfilm could really steer out of this mess is by becoming a studio committed to making new things again, but that's not going to happen because Lucasfilm has been a legacy act for 30 years aside from ILM.

Star Wars fans have been tweaking for a decade. You're incapable of understanding that you don't get the same high from modern Star Wars material because you watched Star Wars in your childhood. Your physical body and brain grew up but your mind refuses to do reflection.
