>ugly CGI animation
>sets are incredibly basic and often look like TF2 maps with the lighting turned off
>character designs are either really basic or a 15-year-old's deviantArt OC
>main character is basically a Mary Sue but quirky and clumsy
>becomes douchy whenever she's Ladybug, literally lectures her partner about how to fight in one episode
>seemingly has zero issue with beating up her friends whenever they get akumatized
>literally tracks Adrien's movements
>show makes Adrien look dumb constantly because girl power I guess
>sets up a redemption arc for Chloe only to throw it away because the creator thinks high school mean girls are unforgivable monsters
>has multiple villains who are arguably justified (Silencer) but "revenge bad" so they're in the wrong
>terrible songs
>kwamis are incredibly annoying, ESPECIALLY Tiki
>show makes up rules on the fly for an episode's plot (Kwami Buster)
>straight up has an episode with a self inserts of the creator where the lesson is that he deserves more respect for making the show
Tell me: why do people keep shitting on the same things like Steven Universe when this garbage fire exists?
>why do people keep shitting on the same things like Steven Universe when this garbage fire exists?
Because people actually give a damn about Steven Universe
>Because people actually give a damn about Steven Universe
Burgers only. In the rest of the world, LB is the most popualr in its segment.
I still never forgave this show for killing all the motivation people had to work on Lovely Ladybug.
>Show still is annoying no matter the AUs
>specifically Scarlet Lady going all in on making Chloe irredeemable and a monster
>somehow SL makes me mad on a personal level.
>also LL is overshadowed by this shit, even though it came out way before the concept even got anywhere in 2012
There’s a reason I wish death to the entire miraculous fandom and franchise
seethe moar Chloégay. you don't even have self-inserting in cartoons to redeem yourself.
What’s your problem? It just somehow related to me on a weird personal level of how she was treated in the end of things.
She had potential
>unironically relates to Chloé
you deserved every bad thing that happened to you. this is the point.
>tells the other guy to seethe more
>can't stop seething himself
Top kek
I only relate to her on some parts, not fully really. If that clarifies it. So It’s not much because some of the shit then.
Thanks
Too bad, accept this fact: your unfunny shitshow doesn’t hold up to a comic that did better and still is ongoing
>noooo a selfish butthole should be redeemed because reasons
It's just like Cartman fans crying about the covid special
And yet, you waste your precious time coming to these threads to troll and put down the show without creating something netter on your own....
>Really makes you think...
We haven't seen the last of Chloe, so there's still hope.
>Trust the process...
See
>I still never forgave this show for killing all the motivation people had to work on Lovely Ladybug.
What? Did it? I thought a new episode came out recently.
Because the cute girls in skintight bodysuits panders to my fetishes.
>straight up has an episode with a self inserts of the creator where the lesson is that he deserves more respect for making the show
His actual insert is the main character's super-buff father who scored with an Asian chick and fathered the greatest superhero in the world. The other one is designed to be his way of mocking the fanbase for thinking they know better than him.
My guy, the fan base DOES know better them him. The fan content for this show is legit ten times more interesting than the actual thing.
The man doesn't have a single hint of self-awareness.
>why people shit on steven universe and not this?
Because nobody is arguing that this is good, while people fight tooth and nail to defend steven universe
>"No one is arguing that this is good"
you'd be surprised
I am.
I'm arguing that it's good!
not reading
Never watched the show, but I liked the movie.
I like the tight outfits
We don't take kindly to that sort of criticism here, stranger!
too bad, I'm posting it anyway
HATER!
What do you think about HER?
She certainly gives it her all, including cons:
https://nitter.net/shilojxo/status/1705980001194307827#m
ugly taco
What's the matter?
Did you write her a love letter, and she shot you down and called you out as a creepy stalker?
nah mate she's just ugly
Which thread will survive and come out the victor?
It looks like the other thread got archived, so this thread won out.
>main character is basically a Mary Sue but quirky and clumsy
Quirky and clumsy are the default Mary-Sue 'faults', because 'she's not like the other girls!'
I used to like Marinette, but S5 tried to legitimise her stalker behaviour - which then means you have to stop taking her stalking as a joke, which then makes her creepy.
I, on the other hand, wish to be her, like a fricking troon
Buy some latex then.
You could start by cosplaying CN, in latex.
HEY, EVERYBODY!
BUG NOIR IS HERE!
Actually, it was my impression that Marinette had stopped stalking Adrien as soon as they started being an item. She even made statements to that fact in certain episodes.
I haven't watched this show and I am not interesting in doing so but from what I've seen the cgi looks pretty good, especially the character models.
The answer: waifu and husbando. teens in thigh spandex. Sex sell even in kid shows or comics
>teens in thigh spandex.
It is latex. How this will affect people will be interesting to see. Latex is a bit impractical for everyday wear.
>Sex sell even in kid shows or comics
Vive la France!
her being a mary sue and the show being really mean spirited and white men bashing due to some lefty / feminist agenda really killed the show to me
the movie is much better
I'm a white Conservative male, and I see absolutely nothing of what you describe in MTOLBACN. Adrien is white. Where's the white male bashing that you speak of?
Ladybug is actually a show for little girls and not twitter people
>for little girls
... in latex?
Little girls want to self-insert as sexy slightly older girls
Disney and Zag Toons may claim that, but there is enough material in the show to keep all ages interested.
After all, small children need adult supervision, and there are more than enough moments in each episode that are aimed at the teenage baby sitters, and adult parents who watch the show with the kids to keep them entertained, and become fans as well.
>Chloégays pretend to hate the entire show only to normalise their seething about Chloé's arc
business as usual
late but the thing about Chloe in Season 3 is that an arc showing her to be irredeemable could work, too. The issue is the way they did it. At best, it was a bait-and-switch to be "subversive", and at worst it's the creator forcing the hands of his writers to fall in line with his beliefs.
Also, there's nothing wrong with relating/liking a villain/antagonist character. Don't be a dick over that.
> Also, there's nothing wrong with relating/liking a villain/antagonist character.
Nothing. But expecting children show to exonerate such villain for people who relate to her to feel better about their shit is bad.
Somebody should make a Chloe video montage to this song.
We go through this every fricking thread. The first 2 seasons 2 seasons are good and it had true potential. Season 3 was dogshit aside from eight episodes. Season 4 was better though still a mixed bag but ended very strong. Season 5 kept good momentum for the first half and then fell off midway through and that finale was terrible. It's still alive because it's a show about a het couple with some lovesuare spice, which is far more appealing than whatever lesbian bullshit owlhouse did or whatever the frick Molly mcgee and that other hawaiian chick is doing. It's got fights, it's got love drama, it's got female empowerment. You can argue none of this is done well but no other show currently is even doing any of these things at all in combination.
I'm still a fan, and, while there might be some particular episodes I didn't care for, I have no problems with any of the seasons as a whole. I look forward to see what's going to happen in the ext season.
same I've consumed too much and think about the show too much for it to be ironic. Still love Adrien and the show despite all the shit.
>s01/02 are good seasons with good finales
yup
>s03 is a good season with a shitty finale
naw the whole of season 3 was bad. it's the season they make a lot of experimental stuff without thinking about how it will affect the plot. but yeah the finale of 3 was good.
>s04 is a shitty season with a good finale
I'd say it was a mixed bag they kept the plot of cat noir being led astray interestingly enough it was most of the extra heroes that brought it down. The ending was great as you said.
>s05 is a shitty season with a shitty finale
Those first 9 episodes were so great though and even after you had nuggets but those last 4-5 episodes just fricking stunk the joint up
this
s01/02 are good seasons with good finales
s03 is a good season with a shitty finale
s04 is a shitty season with a good finale
s05 is a shitty season with a shitty finale
I want to frick Marinette, I don´t want to frick Steven.
Simple as.
I wanna frick Sabrina, not Marinette
>canonically blacked
yikes
If Chloegays think thry can change Chloe, than I can forgive Sabrina for burning coal
>>main character is basically a Mary Sue but quirky and clumsy
So just a Japanese Mary Sue.
Unless you're talking abut Kagami, Marinette is half Chinese
I meant a Mary Sue in fiction of Japanese origin.
Being a ditsy airhead is considered affable and endearing over there.
Being that I don't know who this Mary Sue that people speak of is, I don't really care.
Kagami is Japanese, and Marinette is half Chinese, and that's all I know or care to know.
>ugly CGI
Someone post the cameltoe
>sets up a redemption arc for Chloe only to throw it away because the creator thinks high school mean girls are unforgivable monsters
Why are some people on Cinemaphile so obsessed with a secondary character?
I can fix her! Just give me the chance coach!
Andre said the same thing about Audrey, and things only got worse.
Because it's a case of bad character writing so obviously forced in the story.
Chloe's Redemption Arc was obviously set up, there are pieces the audience could pick up on. But Thomas basically said frick you because I said so.
What set-up? She steals a Miraculous, blurts out her secret identity in seconds, and nearly kills people by causing a train crash that she can make a show of stopping. She continues to abuse Sabrina and everybody else, yet still delusionally thinks that Ladybug sees her as a useful ally when she's only just filler until someone better is made available. Miracle Queen was simply the inevitable result when she finally realized she was never wanted around to begin with.
The arc's only failing was introducing Zoe so they can brush Chloe's actions away and act like nothing ever happened.
Or is that what Astruc WANTS you to think?
Remember how we all thought Felix was the bad guy when he was first introduced to the show?
Chloegays will be proven RIGHT eventually, and Chloe WILL redeem herself, and this is coming from a Chloe HATER!
Felix isn't good, either. He's just self-serving and only really cares about doing what he wants for personal gain with nobody to control him.
Have you not been paying attention to what's been going on in the last half of season five?
He's trying to save his cousin, and wanted to destroy Gabriel, and all of his alter egos from the very beginning., Plus Kagami is helping him, and is on his side.
Felix IS one of thegood guys, and Astruc TRICKED us into believing otherwise.
The same will hold true for Chloe, eventually. Just wait and see.
>Trust the process...
And before that, he was erasing humans from existence because that's how he thought he had to save other Sentimonsters. He does whatever gives him more personal gain, and odds are he's going to be just as much fighting Ladybug as helping her, depending on what he gets out of it.
Well, first of all, he was doing the wrong thing for all the right reasons, and when he realized what a mistake it was, he corrected it and brought everybody back.
Unlike Gabriel who slipped further and further into meglomaniacal insanity and obsession.
No, Felix might makes some mistakes, but he's always been one of the good guys. Just watch every episode with Felix in it in proper order, and you'll see Astruc's writing/Creative process unfold.
We were lead into believing that Felix was the villain, when he'll turn out to be a HERO!
>Trust the process...
>Season of build-up for what amounts to a wet fart so the status-quo can be reset
No.
I shal take great delight in mocking you and laughing at you when I am proven right!
Like I said earlier, an arc to show Chloe becoming worse until she legitimately becomes unredeemable wasn't a bad idea. Their execution of it however was just incredibly botched, and felt more like the wanted to do a surprise rug pull rather than make an interesting story. Also, I feel like siding with Hawk Moth alone doesn't make someone unforgivable. If it was, then pretty much everyone who got akumatized throughout the whole series would be a bad person.
It was only looking like a rug pull because you ignored Chloe's abhorrent behavior even after she got Miraculous. That's problem with your moral. There is also a big difference between being mind controlled and siding with Hawkmoth willingly.
I'm still taking a wait and see approach.
I'm sure Chloe will have epiphany in season seven
Sabrina was a secondary character for a long time, but all that's about to change soon.
We haven't seen the last of Chloe.
I'm sure she'll be redeemed by season seven.
>Trust the process...
based Hawk Moth supporter?
Sort of.
I just want chat noir to be competent and not a clumsy oaf comedic relief, for once. The only episode where they did it he was a psycho from a parallel universe.
That wasn't a "Parallel Universe"
It was a possible future based on a mistake that Marinette made as Ladybug, and she had to change the outcome or the world would've been destroyed.
Plus Cat Noir is always serious when he absolutely has to be.
He shouldn't be written off as comedy relief.
>"I just took a huge dump in the hallway, and spelled out 'Chloe was here' with it."
Miraculous gets a pass because the main characters are aggressively heterosexual.
Is that the reason why it is not so popular in the US?
If it's so unpopular why has there been at least FIVE threads about in on Cinemaphile in the past 72 hours?
>CHECK AND MATE!
Coomers.
so you're telling me it's popular
To the wrong kind of people, but yes.
>show featuring teens in latex isn't for coomers
wat
is it a bad that that I unironically want Hawk Moth to win
Not really, I just want them to kiss already, and to frick Mark and Nate.
When did you stop watching?
I honestly never properly watched it outside of seeing episodes on Disney Channel, but I stopped going out of my way to watch it after season 3
We know it sucks
>"Hold on, Ladybug.. All those Macaroons from the Dupain-Cheng bakery gave me DIARRHEA................."
