Telepaths who can only read minds and communicate though thought are less awful than someone who can control and alter minds that somehow isn't telepathic. Invasion of privacy is a lesser crime than mind rape, mental mutilation and possible personality assassination.

The first "season" was basically them expanding the original game concept but its clear that if they shopped it around, no one was going to take it seriously so they just did it themselves. Now that they have no money, they put out a kickstarter to make a series of books/comics/audio dramas i guess.
its a shame and maybe they'll get some money one day to redo it all as a fully animated series. Although i did like the actually animated parts of the first season and the contrast with them basically being moving cardboard cutouts.
