>You can show as much blood and gore as you want but you have to say nice things while doing the killing because you're still now allowed to say "Frick"
>14% of the superhuman population
No, they're not in universe, they're most of the superhuman population.
The reason why they don't seem that way is that we see the Marvel universe from the America perspective.
Costume heroes don't really exist outside of Japan, Russia, and the US.
So the majority of superpowered people not from the US are mutants.
i still think the idea of mutants be the victims in this world is bullshit, we you consider mutants exist in the marvelk universe since the ancient Egypt, humanity should be used to them and have them as gods.
realistic normal humans should not exist on present marvel universe , long ago erased by simple making babies with muties.
Unironically true. Not that other heroes have much of a leg to stand on, but the X-men especially never apologize for being dicks.
Thing is that they were originally portrayed as rare anomalies with relatively benign concealable powers, with the implication that the rise of nuclear power was causing more people with the X-gene activated to be born in recent year. Hell, the Blob and Nightcrawler were making livings as circus performers before being recruited to their teams, and Storm was being worshipped as a deity by a small village. The writers doing what they can to to actively up the importance of the x-gene and increase their level of persecution is how you get the bullshit narrative of mutants being perpetual victims.
Mutants have always been moronic existing with the rest of marvel. They're unironicly be better off, out at least make more sense, if they were shunted off to their own pocket universe.
I'm going to be controversial and say that Marvel should have just bitten the bullet long ago and gone full circle in on the civil rights bullshit metaphor in making the mutants a fully accepted public minority. The X-men have been a goddamn mess for a long time because the writers don't want to strip away the power fantasy of being born with super powers, but also don't want to lose the persecution complex fantasy of being a stand in for minorities and lgbt. And while they were making it at least functional if nonsensical considering how they used to be one dipweed school being assaulted by mutant supremacists, robots and aliens every single week, the current X-men status quo just broke it in half. Considering their current standing making the mutant people collectively more physically, economically, and politically powerful than the average southern redneck, the idea of mutants being remotely relatable to anyone but the richest gated community frickwads now rings hollower than a cored out apple. Marvel should have given the X-men what the writers claim their heroes wanted, tolerance and acceptance in modern society, and written stories about the conflicts between the people who actually WANT to preserve this kind of status quo vs those who want to either break it because they don't mutants don't deserve their status as well as those who want to break it because they think mutants deserve to rule over humanity.
Then again, I don't know a single writer nowadays who would actually want to show the X-men being champions of tolerance and equal rights compared to their current genomic supremacism, so maybe it's the kind of shit best left to fanfic territory.

Correct, now the current power fantasy is that all minorities united and became the most powerful group so that they can enact revenge at their discretion by "justifying" criminal and amoral acts to the normies for their benefit aka what all previous people on top did to others

I thought they already had Wakanda for that. Hell, don't they have some kind of space empire that's literally light years ahead of anything whitey could possibly make even with Reed Richard or Tony Stark's help?

You know what could be a fun storyline? A schism between the "inner circle" mutants, and the ones who can't control or conceal their powers. Have a group of visibly weird-looking mutants with shitty powers call out Xavier, Storm, and Cyclops as jerks who care more about flaunting their power then about advancing mutants ability to live normal lives.
The analogy practically writes itself. You could have a really powerful point about how movements can get co-opted by people more interested in self-advancement and taking credit. Have a whole thing about "is it really equality if only the rich and famous get lifted up?"
It'd be better than the fricking eugenicist master race bullshit that X-men has tripped head-first into endorsing.
It is said that 1 in 200 men are direct descendants from Genghis Khan so where is the Genghis Mugga Bendis? Pocky, you been doing frick all fuggin weren't you meant to prepare a mutant army against the celestials or some shit
No they are not. They also kill each other frequently, survival of the fittest and all that. I guess Apocalypse wanted a smaller, stronger group more than a bigger one.
The Clan Akkaba were almost entirely wiped out in the 1800s, and Apocalypse himself chose to stop having children because the Clan had betrayed him. By modern times, they had managed to build up a sizeable number of members bred from the few remaining survivors, but most of them lost their powers in the Decimation, and were later killed by the Apocalypse Twins in Uncanny Avengers.

Regularly being targeted for genocide will leave you a little little short with people I imagine.
I suppose you can bullshit anything if you really want to, but I don't think you understand how population expansion works; even if you just had two kids and each had two kids, it would take only 17 generations, or about 400 years, to get over 100.000 ( 131,072 ). Again, that's just with no more than 2 children by generations, if you were to go up to 3, then you get 1.29140.163 in the same time frame.
Never mind Apocalypse, that could apply to any one mutant or people with the X-gen.
I love how effective this psyop has been in devaluing the X-Men brand for D*sney's mouseketeer cattle. Everyone hates the heckin' muties so much no one even cared when they made Wolverine gay.
>Marvel tries to make the Inhumans into Mutants >NOOOOO HOW DARE YOU DO THAT YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO US WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING US MUTANTS? >Marvel makes the Mutants into Inhumans >Why are you so mad that Mutants are winning for once? PIETRO AND WANDA BELONG TO MAGNETO AS HIS ALWAYS LOYAL CHILDREN LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE ADAPTATIONS! >Kamala is an Inhuman >How dare an Inhuman be popular! Give her to us right now! X-gays are the most hypocritical fandom in Marvel
>the marvel heroes are so used to negative public opinion that they were floored when they went to the DC universe and people actually liked their heroes >they decided the only explanation is that the League are fascist dictators that force everyone to like then
Marvel go back and forth on whether Doom is actually a good ruler who's genuinely loved by his people, or if he's a brutal dictator running a police state where everyone's forced to pretend to love him.
Everyone thinks Genosha was genocided by evil human bigots because racism, but it was actually done by the non-human Cassandra Nova just to hurt Xavier. IIRC she didn't consider anyone but herself and Xavier to even be real.
Hulk has always been a misunderstood monster, even by Superman.
Batman spergs out about a vigilante actually shooting criminals, same as he always does.
Ultimate Marvel is the one iteration of X-Men that can honestly fall back on that excuse, while 616 X-Men books keep trying to pretend their world has always been like Ultimate Marvel, and hoping you don't read old comics and actually notice it wasn't like that.
Ultimate Marvel also had that one story where a random kid starts blowing people up at random because his X-gene awakens and he can't control it. And it's implied that shit happens regularly enough that Xavier is used to dealing with it. That story did a really good justifying why people hate mutants.
>You can show as much blood and gore as you want but you have to say nice things while doing the killing because you're still now allowed to say "Frick"
My favorite issue of Spawn was when he said "ello governor" before killing an entire squad of drug dealers
>swearing is cool!!1!
Wasn't this part of a story in which Spider-Man and Wolverine switched bodies?
Yes
but it holds true to 616 Mutants too.
OP's pic takes place at a different time than the wolverine thing but they both happened in/to ultimate Spider-Man
Mutants consist of 14% of the superhuman population, but cause 80% of the destruction.
>Always ape out
>Muh Holocaust
They are like Black person combine with israelite
Yep, the absolute worst
A gipsy?

No, they would not. Because if they did, their critics would actually be right.
Wrong opinion. The X-gene is a moronic concept without colossal space gods implementing it into early man as an experiment

His descendants are all part of Clan Akkaba. They just haven’t been seen in a while, but they’re the guys who helped Dark Angel out that one time.
1 in 200 men is roughly 20.000.000, anon. Is the Akkaba Clan 20.000.000 men strong?
No they are not. They also kill each other frequently, survival of the fittest and all that. I guess Apocalypse wanted a smaller, stronger group more than a bigger one.

Aye. I wonder when will somebody say this kind of stuff out-loud to the 616 X-Men.
Most Marvel heroes are jack-asses, not just the mutants.
Marvel citizens are mostly jackasses why would super powers making them nicer
>the marvel heroes are so used to negative public opinion that they were floored when they went to the DC universe and people actually liked their heroes

Collateral damage is a MAJOR Reason they are disliked
weren't most of the mass mutant death events that occurred the result of other mutants?
>Hellfire Club
