Maybe I was filtered but the themes seemed all disjointed, the actions of the characters were bizarre, the premises/nature of the monster were suspect, the setting seemed artificial. It started out strong but by the end it seemed amateurish.
It's a concept for a passable short story spun out for no reason. The bit with the motorbike guy shouting about needing to be filmed was out of place social commentary that added nothing, and putting it in the trailer was ridiculous.
I really liked it. Better than Get Out but not as great as Us imo
Anti white nonsense made by a low IQ moron.
Why are you Americans so obsessed about race that you see it in literally every movie, especially ones that don't even address that topic
what was scary about it? and what was even the point of the monkey shit and the Chinese cowboy?
Horror movies in general don't have to be scary, suspenseful movies can also be considered as horror. On the other hand, there is some semi-gore when the inside of the creature is shown which can be seen as kinda scary
that was stupid but its never brought up outside a single line at the very start. explain how that is an entire subplot
You're both fricking stupid. That clip of the horse running is real and is actually the first video ever made. Look it up you fricking moron kek This place calls itself a film board when it doesn't even know the basics
the scene in the all-white neighborhood when Jim is riding a bicycle and says "Good morning!" and Sue yells back "Good morning Jim!" sent chills down my spine
Pretty good as a commercial movie. The antler character was poorly integrated (should have been integrated into movie set plot or relationship with their father) but the story beats and design are creative. The sister is pretty cute. It was a success. I liked Us better but I'm cautiously optimistic about the next movie from this director.
Now that you mentioned it, the movie really would have benefitted from the older guy being related to someone else. I bet it was in the talks somewhere down the line but then the decision was made to just let him have his own miniarc
>entire subplot about a made up "fact" that the first actor in a movie was a homie but it was hidden cause white pipo

How the frick do you visit a Thai basket weaving forum about movies and not know about the race horse film?
Yeah I can see that they didn't want to include him earlier because the few cinematically literate people watching would get the "it's an animal" plot beats too soon vs OJs realization but they could have made him a surrogate uncle figure to the family or a member of the movie crew who wants to catch it on film instead of a random guy they read about. Random guys you read about are better in the first act lol.
I honestly thought I was missing something after the first viewing of Us because every moron on this board kept on insisting that the movie was only about race when I understood that it was about inequality in general, no matter whether race, economic, or whatever the frick it is
A lot of what was successful about Us was rooted in CLASS and economic station of the viewer but it's a faux pas in America for people to acknowledge class. The middle rising actions were weak but the plot and concept were so novel and the denouement was so well executed.
unironically his first step toward auteur movies, didn't think he could pull off something that works both as entertainment and a critique on entertainment after two shitty movies. also the social commentary is leagues above Get Out and Us, which are just racist

has anyone watched this garbage? please tell me how bad it was, was it bad as the movie with Tim in it?
It was actually good. Interesting horror movie
what was scary about it? and what was even the point of the monkey shit and the Chinese cowboy?

It was trash, dont even bother
It's pretty good
horror is dead thanks to guys like jordan peele
It's a low bar, but it's Peele's only "horror" that is watchable.
the suspense and mystery building was admirable, but it was a let down. the 3rd act was a big "oh, that's it?"
better than the rest of Poole's filmography which isn't saying much
this wasn't better than get out. atleast get out had TSA bro

Anti white nonsense made by a low IQ moron.
>anti white
please describe how this movie was anti white

Reddit response.
>give me an essay on your view that i can ignore because it upsets me
You can't answer the question
it actually does insist upon itself
I rewatched it and its really good but the 3rd act is meh aside from some cool looking shots. Over a solid 7/10
This is on my "Not Watching, Never Will" list.

How was Us racist? Hands across America wasn't for blacks only lol
