Harrison Ford is the opposite of some arrogant Hollywood cornball, he's probably one of the only genuine guys in the whole town. He was always an outsider.
It's a 20+ year old movie, gay. If you haven't watched it already, then you won't later either. And if you never knew about it, then you shouldn't be taking part in movie discussions, since you sound like a zoomer doofus who was probably sucking your kindergarten teacher when the movie was released.
Struck a nerve? Is this a new thing from the tiktok generation of lgbtqaeiou+++ degenerates? Constantly hearing this stupid phrase.
No, I'm angry all the time and especially at those people who are absolutely ignorant about movies or atleast have an extremely poor knowledge of them beyond the the last 20 years.
He spoiled it for you and you think he’s the one upset? If you weren’t upset you wouldn’t have said anything just like I did when he spoiled it for me.

Could be ybdesu, I also hate morons like you so we have that in common.
Cloud Atlas had one section of him playing the villain and he was pretty good as the antagonist. That crappy Emma Watson movie also had him as the villain.
Ye I think that has to do with the mindset of the cold war time though. Like we need a tall muscular chiseled looking Aryan guy who speaks Russian to play the villain here, that our hero can beat with his American determination over muscles...I know just the Swede to do it
>let me just capture this innocent zombie b***h to study her even though these freak mutants seem to care about each other, and then I'm going to blow them all up for trying to save their friend/lover. I'm the good guy
He can play a "villain" well enough, but there's always a stipulation that you'll root for him anyway.
I don't see him playing a villain that is truly unlikeable.
yeah he looked in great in it but cruise also excels at losing himself in the role like his crazy eyes in collateral. he was also great in tropic thunder in another atypical cruise role
he has an insane range as an actor and an unmatchable charisma that's is just a shame he's barely ever showcased it all on screen
He can play a "villain" well enough, but there's always a stipulation that you'll root for him anyway.
I don't see him playing a villain that is truly unlikeable.

I get the feeling that guys like him and Tom Cruise feel they're under a lot of pressure to maintain some image, and once you take that away in a very literal sense, it helps them cut loose.

yes matthew mcconnaughey replaced him last minute
fun fact tom cruise was going to play the character before owen wilson, but then he came up with les grossman idea
Yeah, I think Clint could play a really good villain. So many of his roles are men on the edge playing one that goes over the edge wouldn't have been a stretch.
yeah good choice he was mean and nasty in gran torino plus that stupid glare he does would work perfectly
the thing about will ferrell is even if he were a good actor and did a great job on a villian, i'm just gonna be hearing "boats and hoes" in the background
i think vince vaughn could be a good villian, depending on the movie.
He plays a bad guy in The Beguiled. >"Cpl. John McBurney is an injured Union soldier who finds himself on the run as a deserter during the Civil War. He seeks refuge at an all-female Southern boarding school where the teachers and students seem more than willing to help. Soon, sexual tensions lead to dangerous rivalries as the women tend to his wounded leg while offering him comfort and companionship."
His character is a coward and an opportunist. That's about as close to a full-on bad guy as you're gonna get.
Wow wtf I love the union now
Shit's pretty cash. A wounded soldier fighting for the other side lands in a mansion full of sexually deprived teenage girls and women and creates his own personal harem until shit goes sideways. The remake was also pretty good.

I never knew the context of that clip. That sounds like pure kino to me.
Daily reminder that Hangman was right and he should have been selected as Dagger 2 instead of Rooster because he was clearly the only aviator with the talent needed to execute the mission similar to Maverick.
>goes out of his way to harass own teammates >clearly no respect for military rank >puts trainees in dangerous situations not caused by the mission itself >has no apparent belief in the greater good, just wants to continue being a frat boy >debriefed for a classified operation but also loves spreading gossip in his own team
Yeah, this guy was the clear choice alright. He has none of Iceman’s professionalism, and I guess is like Maverick being confronted with the worst flaws of his younger self, which is kind of cool. Thankfully they gave him that third act redemption, because now he’s just a pure Chad.
He probably won't do a serious film again because he (rightfully) felt snubbed by the Academy for an outstanding performance. He seems to like the Safdies and vice versa so hopefully they make.more kino again.
He is literally in a straight film right now on Netflix, dumbass. Not worth the watch, but he's in a movie called the Hustle. Produced by Lebron James, mind you.
Gotta say the usual good guys like Tom Hanks could play great villains. You see Hanks smiling and squinting his eyes like he does in a minimalist office and you just know he's up to no good but can't help but like the guy.
Agreed. Costner is great in everything and superb as a villain like in Mr. Brooks. Add some exotic weapon to his hand, like maybe kukri, and he could ham his role 100% and be great.
the thing about will ferrell is even if he were a good actor and did a great job on a villian, i'm just gonna be hearing "boats and hoes" in the background
i think vince vaughn could be a good villian, depending on the movie.
I'm so goddamn sick of the zoomers who never watch anything that's not on their precious online platforms. Vince played the villain in the Travolta movie Domestic Disturbance & he played Norman Bates in Van Sant's awful Psycho remake.
>What was that you said about a perfect day anon? Steel toe boots? Remind me. >a faint tapping of midge boots shakes the play table full of miniature tools
Kevin Bacon is the opposite. Whenever he plays a protagonist I just have to root for the other guy. Like in the Following where he's an FBI agent and Purefoy is a cult leader. And yet I spent the entire show rooting for Purefoy.
Harrison Ford never played villains but he was born to play them. Wasted potential.
He's often chosen to play the villain in real life instead.
kino
Take your meds immediately
A grouchy old dude who crashes planes. Kino
Seems like a cornball that would refuse to play villains or demand a certain amount of camera time/lines
Harrison Ford is the opposite of some arrogant Hollywood cornball, he's probably one of the only genuine guys in the whole town. He was always an outsider.
>guy who flew over to Europe to hand-deliver an Oscar to Roman Polanski
>a genuine guy or outsider
Black person please
Yeah, because Polanski is based. No amount of screeching from eggless roasties and their allies is going to change that.
He isn't. He keeps to himself more, but as this anon points out
, he's just as pozzed as the rest of them.
Wrong. In Blade Runner 2049, he INSISTED that he gets the last scene and not Gosling. Which is why the ending of BR is so glaringly terrible.
what lies beneath
Mosquito Coast
What Lies Beneath
he had a small role as duvall's creepy henchman in The Conversation.
I’ve always imagined how hilarious it would have been for Harrison Ford to have played Ron Burgundy instead of Will Ferrell.
there's still time to have harrison ford as mugatu
>US President in Air Force One
>Not the bad guy
Harrison Ford is only good at playing Harrison Ford.
He played a villain in What Lies Beneath, dumbass. Michele Pfeifer kills her husband (Ford) to avenge a girl he killed, but she didn't even know.
Wow thanks for the spoiler jackass
It's a 20+ year old movie, gay. If you haven't watched it already, then you won't later either. Struck a nerve. Do u relate to the main characters of IO, Shrek and Au hazard balthasar
Spoken like a true obese redditor
He spoiled it for you and you think he’s the one upset? If you weren’t upset you wouldn’t have said anything just like I did when he spoiled it for me.
Ur his buttbuddy? You like sucking his anus at night?
Could be ybdesu, I also hate morons like you so we have that in common.
He's a fantastic villain in The Mosquito Coast.
Julian Sands
He plays one in Warlock
Jackie Chan Adventures
Tom Hanks. Evil politician.
Road to Perdition first quarter
Toy Story 1 and 2
SPR depending
Kids' movies don't count. He wasn't the villain in Road to Perdition.
Please tell me how Woody is the bad guy in Toy Story 1. Because he doesn't like buzz at first? He comes around later, it's called a character arc.
I like this. Put him as someone caring on the surface, but cruel and predatory underneath.
Cloud Atlas had one section of him playing the villain and he was pretty good as the antagonist. That crappy Emma Watson movie also had him as the villain.
Shame that Hugh Grant stole the show in CA. What a performance.
He was the villain in the Lego Movie, the serious one, not the batman one.
I liked Van Damme as a villain in the Expendables 2
Him and Lundgren have a reverse situation where in his youth, Van Damme was more suitable for heroes and Dolph for villains, and now it's the reverse.
the universal soldier series is the ultimate guilty pleasure
so fricking cool
Ye I think that has to do with the mindset of the cold war time though. Like we need a tall muscular chiseled looking Aryan guy who speaks Russian to play the villain here, that our hero can beat with his American determination over muscles...I know just the Swede to do it
as shit as that movie was, van damme was really cool in it
Good thread
Can’t think of Will Smith as the villain in anything but now would be a good time for him to go for that role
Don't worry, nobody else watched him in Suicide Squad either.
He was barely a villain in that one.
Will Smith was actually the villain in I Am Legend.
And that jellyfish movie.
He's not you lying homosexual. Movie has barely any relation to the book and at no point does it make Will a villain.

young will smith could've played some wienery henchman villain
current will smith won't be able to come across as a convincing villain anymore
will smith played the devil a few years ago and that sure was a movie
Does this board even watch movies before 2000??
Will played a villain (of sorts) in Six Degrees of Separation, while he was on Fresh Prince.
>Six Degrees of Separation,
Do NOT watch that movie it features graphic gay sex scenes and is gay propaganda.
Thanks anon
not that unconventional but i wish tom cruise did more non leading man roles.
He can play a "villain" well enough, but there's always a stipulation that you'll root for him anyway.
I don't see him playing a villain that is truly unlikeable.
He was still the leading man in that movie.
I loved his look in Collateral
yeah he looked in great in it but cruise also excels at losing himself in the role like his crazy eyes in collateral. he was also great in tropic thunder in another atypical cruise role
he has an insane range as an actor and an unmatchable charisma that's is just a shame he's barely ever showcased it all on screen
i don't think tom cruise would make a good mustache villain but he'd be a great supporting character for a villain, like a hitman/henchman
Tropic thunder?
Les grosman was kino, we need more big hands cruise
He plays a really good scumbag in Lions for Lambs
It was the same thing with Lestat.
he was delightful couldn't be angry at him
>I don't see him playing a villain that is truly unlikeable.
literally impossible, he's just too charming
Tropic Thunder
Anyone know if Lions for Lambs is any good? Tom Cruise is in a non-leading role as a senator in that one
good acting but the plot wasn't very intersecting or well made
interesting*
he was kind of a brat in the outsiders
He was kind of a villain in TAPS.
Also, first role best role
i always liked him in the outsiders even though hes only in it for 7 minuets
i didn't realize he was in tropic thunder until i saw the credits

yes matthew mcconnaughey replaced him last minute
fun fact tom cruise was going to play the character before owen wilson, but then he came up with les grossman idea
It'd be hard for Tom to top this non-leading role.
Blackadder verged on being a villain on a number of occasions.
he's also the villain in Mr Bean.
Blackadder was the villain on every occasion
Malkovich
Dude go watch In the Line of Fire right now, he's an amazing villain in that movie.
Why'd you shoot that duck butthole?
it had to be done
Hey there's one. Not "anti-hero" but straight up "The Bad"
Yeah, I think Clint could play a really good villain. So many of his roles are men on the edge playing one that goes over the edge wouldn't have been a stretch.
yeah good choice he was mean and nasty in gran torino plus that stupid glare he does would work perfectly
he gets pretty villainous in true detective s2
He's not scary or frightening. Couldn't take him seriously in Prisoners and Batman
He plays a bad guy in The Beguiled.
>"Cpl. John McBurney is an injured Union soldier who finds himself on the run as a deserter during the Civil War. steve buscemi also did a good job as a villain in that

this is bait, right? that's more than half his career
moron
Penguins of Madagascar?
He was the villain in Burn after reading
Mmm evil Ms. Andrews singing a villain song while she tickle tortures me in bondage
Jeremy Irons should play more villain roles
>unconventional actors as villains
>posts a guy who has been a villian multiple times in multiple iconic roles
UH OH moron ALERT moron ALERT
Scar
Impossible to be a villain
He's just too likeable to be a villain, even when he's being a douche, which he's typecast as in Scream Queens, Everybody Wants Some!! and Maverick.
Daily reminder that Hangman was right and he should have been selected as Dagger 2 instead of Rooster because he was clearly the only aviator with the talent needed to execute the mission similar to Maverick.
>goes out of his way to harass own teammates

After watching Uncut Gems, I think him as a villain could be certified kino if he actually gives a shit about the production
Rich Vos is actually a great actor.
Produced by Lebron James, mind you.

kevin costner was great in this.
This. Kevin Costner is a magnificent villain. He makes even that giant shitshow A Long Way From Graceland watchable.
>A Long Way From Graceland
Do you mean 3000 Miles To Graceland or did he do another Elvis villain movie?
in his defense 3000 miles from anywhere is pretty far
Agreed. Costner is great in everything and superb as a villain like in Mr. Brooks. Add some exotic weapon to his hand, like maybe kukri, and he could ham his role 100% and be great.
the ladykillers
True! Forgot about that. Perfect as sleaze gentleman thief.
oh yeah the most embarrassing movie put to screen
Avery Brooks.
There was a ds9 episode where he played a bond villain so you got your wish.
Punished Sisko is still always my favorite Star Trek lead. He always does the hard choice.
the thing about will ferrell is even if he were a good actor and did a great job on a villian, i'm just gonna be hearing "boats and hoes" in the background
i think vince vaughn could be a good villian, depending on the movie.
He was serial killer in the cell with jlo
Vincent was the killer and Vince was the cop.
He played Norman Bates in Psycho (1998)
Watch Freaky.
I'm so goddamn sick of the zoomers who never watch anything that's not on their precious online platforms. Vince played the villain in the Travolta movie Domestic Disturbance & he played Norman Bates in Van Sant's awful Psycho remake.
Vaughn could possibly play Judge Holden role in the inevitable blood meridian adaptation
That could be interesting.
I'd cast Brock Lesnar
He’s got the size but are you sure he can be articulate enough? His voice isn’t really what I imagined but that’s just me.
Lesnar can barely act for wrestling standards, he's more a off the cuff guy.
He was a serial killer in Clay Pigeons.
"Fishin' buddy!"
though the show was dogshit, peter weller was great in the last ship
no one? this might have been one of those 'only shows you watched' tiered crap
Played a villain in 24
>What was that you said about a perfect day anon? Steel toe boots? Remind me.
>a faint tapping of midge boots shakes the play table full of miniature tools
>and when it's finally done, and you look up in confusion and ask why, I'll ask "why not?".
He's almost exclusively known as being a villain.
He's the Leperchaun in the Leperchaun "horror" franchise, you illiterate wiener knobler.
not a villain per say(inb4 taxation is theft) he was great in stranger than fiction
Ben Affleck
Kevin Bacon is the opposite. Whenever he plays a protagonist I just have to root for the other guy. Like in the Following where he's an FBI agent and Purefoy is a cult leader. And yet I spent the entire show rooting for Purefoy.
>will ferell
would be especially good at playing bureaucrats and weasels
This is one of like three actually funny scenes in Zoolander 2, but it had me literally guffaw and chortle.
Have you seen him in interviews? Guy is terrifying
The only time Tom Cruise was ever really great was when he played LeStat. Les Grossman was also sort of a villain, and that was enjoyable too.
anyone else think this was goldberg from the thumbnail
t
Jim Carrey
Ye.
I imagine him in a role similar to Malkowich's Sirus in the Con Air
He was an alright villain in US Marshals, the mediocre sequel to The Fugitive.
