My point wasn't that they were good, only that they were more faithful. The new Jurassic Park movies for example focus more on corporate activity and what the world would be like with advances in cloning and dna manipulation, which is what the novel was mainly about. The dinosaurs were sort of tacked on as a way to explore that whereas in the old big hit JP movie it was the other way around. The dinosaurs and adventure were the main audience appeal and the sci fi stuff was window dressing.
