They are laundering money.
Renfield was worth watching for Nic Cage hamming it up. Abigail was worth watching for Dan Stevens hamming it up. Demeter was boring and not worth watching.
Correct opinion. Also Melissa was cute
box office poison and sperged out about the israelites, she won't be working in this town again
she's kinda ugly for a spaniard
She's a Mexican and a pretty high tier one I'd say.
>and a pretty high tier one I'd say.
would
I think Melissa is pretty. Though I wish she didn't get the bad boob job
I'm a simple guy everytime i see someone being Based and antizionist i pay money to see their shit.
Her eyes are so dumb looking.
true, she looks moronic
At least you concede she’s a cute moron
She is frogge...she and the Fallout girl need to be in the next Hellboy flick, one that adapts the War on Frogs storyline...
What are we, some kind of Dark Universe?
trauma demons are scarier than vampires
Demeter was such moronic homosexualry, literally a couple pages in the book, just as bad as that stupid fricking Dracula series that shit all over the book.
>Renfield
It was moronic. Trying to turn classic monster movie monsters into superheros is a stupid idea.
>Last Voyage of the Demeter
People have Black fatigue. Nobody wants to be lectured about "muh racism" anymore, especially not in a period piece horror movie (which is already a fairly niche genre)
>Abigail
Didn't see it, but it's probably not cute and funny enough for its target audience.
No Ivan we don't hate black people, seeing a vampire on a boat just isn't appealing.
Nice try, Goldstein.
longlegs will also flop but at least it will be kino as opposed to those three
and yes, it's a vampire movie, if not literally then metaphorically
Vampires are gay and werewolves are cool.
Vampires are gay because they're cool, werewolves are cool because they're gay
shut up troony
They all sucked
>Cagekino, sometimes funny but nothing special and Awkwafina ruins it kinda. 6/10
>movie that spoils the ending in its opening shot, waste of time but well shot 4/10
>cheesy slop for zoomers, le epic meta writing, but also decently shot 4/10
Abigail did better than the other two thou
it's still gonna lose the studio money
Nahl, the studios never lose money, they do their Chosen People magicks on these flicks and get the dosh no matter what.
Abigail isn't doing great, but it did make more money than either other movie on a lower budget, and more importantly it's only been in theaters for a week so it might limp a bit further yet
Abigail needs to hit at least 50 million to break even, it's a flop bro
Vampires still haven't recovered from the Twilight craze of the 00's-2010's. They're mostly a chick thing now so trying to make horror movies with them isn't going to end well. Castlevania could've repaired the damage but it was a cartoon and they threw gay shit in there on top of it.
That's about to change.
This fricker is about to shit the biggest flop of the decade.
The moment he lost Anya Taylor Joy and had to cast Johhny Deep's walking semen as the leading lady, it was done.
>The moment he lost Anya Taylor Joy and had to cast Johhny Deep's walking semen as the leading lady, it was done.
Anya Taylor-Joy isn't some big box office draw lol, she's had plenty of flops in her career. Casting another actress doesn't hurt the movie.
You're correct because Anya looks like a vampire in real life now.
The fact that he's now on record saying his best film wasn't good makes me worried. I feel like Nosferatu is going to be some pretentious arthouse shit more akin to Lighthouse than the Witch, which doesn't bode well for me or the average audience.
The Lighthouse is a better film than The Witch
Fifteen years late. Bad ideas. Movies fail.
Conspiratard schizos will say it's not an accident, but they're morons.
Renfield was so fricking bad. Only and I do meam only the Cage scenes are worth watching. Renfield gets super powers when he eats bugs? What the frick is this shit?
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but in the original Dracula novel, Renfield believes eating living creatures will help him obtain their life-force for himself and stay immortal. Dracula promises Renfield that if he worships him, he will give him all the bugs he wants to stay immortal.
That’s Renfield’s thing. https://youtu.be/RKbr8arXVJM?si=trepVmZnUVEhL43M
I Am Legend was too cowardly to do vampires like the novel. 28 Days Later did I Am Legend style vampires pretty well, but apparently it's a zombie movie (how?).
Not much else you can do with the concept. Del Toro made a specifically non-sexual vampire film. What We Do In the Shadows was a good vampire comedy. Just leave them alone and watch the Hammer Horror films, they're great.
What about The Last Man on Earth and Stakeland?
> renfield.
Aha what a quirky deconstruction of the original masterpiece of ages past how respectful and cute /s.
> Demeter
I mean, I want to watch it but I haven't got round to it. Also modern streaming makes shit hard to find and the local cinema closed down. Maybe if there was more effort put into marketing I might have seen it when it came out.
> Abigail.
Literally who?
I liked this.
Me too. I wouldn't mind a tv series set in that world.
It was a cool concept but it could've been executed better. Pretty fun movie overall though.
I can only speak for Renfield coz that's the one i saw - because it's fricking terrible.
They were whiter than a fricking bingo hall.
vampires suck
Should have made a Van Helsing (2004) sequel or prequel way back in the day instead.
>Tfw dont live in the timeline where renfield was just a 1:1 recreation of 1931 Dracula with Nic Cage and Nicholas Hoult
They did that intro just to tell everyone to go frick themselves. The kino charts would have been astronomical
