Can eels take over plods? To my memory, no one but the Black Tongues know how to make plods, so the science isn't really clear. But Starfish was taken over by bad eels (or so it seems) and he drowned in the water so he's basically a plod. Why can't Sette direct the good squishes to the factory and raise an army.
Okay, wait, SHOULDN'T she be about to show up? I doubt Prakhuta is lying about his inability to keep this all together for long. Did she get delayed dealing with that lion (Sette's brother)?
What did she need the lion for, anon? Is it maybe why she's presently indisposed? What did the lion do to the other "gods" once before? Why didn't we see the birdlion ugly baby parrot before she went AWOL?
The bird lies, the bird betrays. To such an extent that she introduces herself as such. That so many men would heed not the honest warning of her own name for the sweet words and pretty face that speaks them is but another proof of the folly of Man.
And man-grafted lizard, I suppose.
It's starting to seem like, as the lower posts say, that this entire plan might well be just another feint along the path of Sessine's true aims
They duped Ana, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise at all if Prakhuta is also a victim of a switcheroo
It's seemed that way ever since she didn't appear when Prakhuta expected her to. We haven't really seen any reason to think she'd be delayed, so it's reasonable to think she never intended to show up in the first place.
Wait, didn't we see the pawprint up against the Khert last time?
Is Sette the paw print?
Can Ilganyaaag only manifest when she say has a body with the same magic genetics to recieve the silver, say Sette herself.
The red bird-lion thing we just saw looks suspiciously like an embryo. So what would it be an embryo of? The thing that Lady I was going to be born into after exiting the khert. Why does it have the lion traits? Because of the plot-important lion spirit that's been around for some time now. How is any of this connected? We already know of ONE lion hybrid that involved a difficult childbirth and ended up producing Sette. We've also recently learned that first silver might've been involved in that instance of lionbirth as well. So the idea here is that Lady I was going to similarly use a lion spirit to hybridize herself into a living creature, thus exiting the khert. We've also just seen a memory associated with said embryo that strongly points to the possibility that had said memory been allowed to come to pass, the embryo would end up stillborn, ruining Lady I's plans. However, as things stand now, Sette is conveniently trapped in the khert, unable to fulfill said memory. Meanwhile, Lady I is running late for her own resurrection, perhaps in part thanks to having to make last minute corrections to her plans in order to defy fate.
Seems like a good theory but I can’t quite grasp HOW she’d make herself a hybrid creature. There’s always some sort of logic to the weird khert mechanics and nothing jumps to me. I also wonder how exactly Murkoph figures into all this, he’s gotta factor into something big.
You bring up an interesting point about a memory of something that might not happen. The Khert is supposed to be a vault of all memory, outside of time. Can it even contain false memories? I had been taking the vision as an absolute promise of something that was guaranteed to happen in the future of Kasslyne, because the Khert exists outside of its timeline. Duane and Sette are seeing memories from "now" in the Khert, but it's not synced to their native time.

>Remember that creeper Starfish told Quigley he'd be waiting in a plod facility by the water. So they're close.

Eels seem to be able to worm their way into any pymery. They tried and failed to get to Chitz, Duane's eyeballs, all sorts.
Sure, we saw that happen in chapter 3.
They can take over the Pymaric mask that makes the corpse move, but the corpse itself is unaffected, the eels are just tugging at it's strings.
This is why Duane feels hunger for human flesh during the day and why his body goes crazy at night when his soul isn't present to fight off the eels.
everyone has plods, cresce uses plod labor all the time, quigley and jivi are going to a plod facility right now

We know where she is.

Why indeed.

Another victim of the grift economy. Damn.

Then frick off with the complaints
you are trying too hard to nig those threads
I think I get it now. So here's the crazy theory.
