Hi, intern here. We are only on the first drafts but I can tell you about the characters.
It follows the same basic plot of the original but with new characters and it has more modern values to suit the current audience.
Among the characters are a black kid who wants to be a hero and acts like the school's cop, an Asian girl in a wheelchair who is into science like Gretchen, an overweight Native American girl who cares about the environment, a twink theater boy (whom some of the writers want to be gay) and a foreign boy of ambiguous race who is super short but is actually a badass martial artist.
More information should be released during the summer of 2024.
>an Asian girl in a wheelchair who is into science like Gretchen >an overweight Native American girl who cares about the environment >a foreign boy of ambiguous race who is super short but is actually a badass martial artist.
This is clearly fake.
No way they would be so tone deaf in their progressiveness that they're make offensive stereotypes.
Right?
Disney had to create Elena (on the right) when people complained that Sofia (on the left) wasn't dark enough after she was introduced as Disney's first Hispanic princess. The people complaining about it weren't brown people who wanted representation, they were white people from California who think that Hispanic characters must be brown. That's what diversity means nowadays, it's not about showing how diverse the world is, it's about showing all the stereotypes they can think of.
DisneyTVAnews doesn't know shit and is just guessing
For example: They put Duckie and Darkwing Duck as different projects despite it being confirmed Duckie is a codename for the Darkwing reboot
>Disney is developing a new pilot for an animation project called “Duckie” for Disney+, which is scheduled to begin production at the start of August in Burbank, California.
>This new 22-minute animated pilot aims to captivate audiences with its unique storyline and relatable characters. The show will explore themes of personal growth, mentorship, and the power of overcoming challenges.
>“Duckie” revolves around the eponymous character’s journey of self-discovery. Having recently survived a feral creature’s attack, Duckie finds herself scarred and plagued by self-doubt. While she grapples with the aftermath of this traumatic experience, Duckie enters a pivotal phase in her life. However, her path crosses with a mentor whose unwavering belief in himself is both awe-inspiring and foolish. Initially, they clash, but as their journey progresses, they form a unique bond that holds the potential to save the universe.
>Duckie, is a spirited and headstrong 15-year-old duck who grapples with the desire to be seen as a fully-formed adult within her extensive family. Despite her youth, Duckie possesses a curious nature, an adventurous spirit, sharp wit, and impressive technological skills. However, she is currently recovering from a traumatic attack, causing her to doubt herself in stressful situations. Nevertheless, her world changes when she encounters a mentor who might just help her navigate through her challenges, and, together, they might have the power to save the universe.

was this created before or after the strike?
There is no "after" the strike. The strike will probably last until 2024, if it officially "ends" at all.
Which ones have male protagonists?
Winnie the Pooh
Phineas and Ferb
Darkwing
Talespin
Basically anything that is legacy has a male protagonist and whatever is new doesn't
