Yep, this was one of the movies axed by HBO Max. However another division of WB (Home Entertainment) took it and is releasing it
It's interesting how we are only now getting a Urkel project in this wacky world of reboots we are living in nowadays.
Like Steve Urkel was a cultural icon in the 90s and with how much need culture has tooken over the years you'd think we'd have tons of Urkel projects.
He's black. he isn't hated much. the kids who grew up with him would rather them watch this than the black little mermaid or wish.

This perfectly fits my theory that the reason Rebecca Sugar wants to keep rebooting her show isn't because she's passionate about the IP, but rather because there's something magical and esoteric about that show that needs to keep going in order to maintain some kinda balance or strive towards some end goal, and when they realized they can't keep pulling it thinner anymore, they decided to simply transfer the magic to a new production
Clearly one of the necessary components is for the main character to have the initials S.U

Same, Uncle Chuck has this bizarre energy about him that's hypnotic, almost magnetic. His childlike wonder combined with decades of rough life experiences and indefatigable love for his sister and some of the hedgehogs makes him one of the most compelling characters in the entire series.

Weirdest part was that the show just completely retconned her existence. She was never mentioned again and the Winslows only had 2 kids starting with the middle of the series. They couldn't even be bothered to drop a line explaining why she wasn't around anymore.
