I really like that Wolverine is finally wearing his costume but I really hate that it's happening in a joke movie like Deadpool instead of an actual X-Men movie which is what I hoped would happen with the MCU, of course they proved to be completely incompetent post Endgame

Not exactly Marvel's fault here. Apparently Fox X-men contracts are valid up til 2025. Disney inherited them with the property, so they can't really do a full on reboot until afterwards.
Is it not costing them more to just not make MCU X-Men for years than it would be to pay off some contracts? What are we saying - Storm actress whose name nobody knows is too expensive to leave out somehow???

adaptations tend to be trash for the lowest common denominator, MCU did the bare minimum because before the 1st Iron Man movie most was too low quality to care about but it really dropped around Age of Ultron.
