>just jump around to random characters with no story consistency
Why not? That would actually give it some artistic merit at the very least.

Star Wars died in 2012.
Star Wars is dead and Disney is Cancer Aids in the Arse.
Whats wrong with that?
Yes.
Even the second season of this was better than everything Disney did so far
Yes. Why not introduce new characters and build a new story around them?
unironically this. the best scene in a new hope is the cantina scene. why not focus on stories around those characters?
Better than "somehow, Ahsoka returned" for the sixth time.
Yes, because it was totally logical and consistent when George turned Darth Vader into Space Jesus, ensuring that the entire Star Wars universe revolved around one guy and that stories can only be told in this setting in relation to the prophesized aryan bloodline of Space Jesus
they were doing that with the mandalorian, and then the show became the cameodalorian where he is somehow associated with every single established character in that time period, and they all comment on how good he is at babysitting
play the old republic era games then
IRL history is also defined by a handful of people who are often related to each other
This. Anyone can become president, and Black voices change the world.
Dont forget if they die, but somehow are alive, reincanated and started same fights all over again. And are all related
The entire world exists to tell the story of Luke Skywalker suceeding where his father failed and redeeming his father in the process. Everything was created to frame/assist/highlight that. Ryloth and its long history of rebellious independence does not matter. R5-D4s backstory is irrelevant. Boba Fett was just a generic faceless inhuman bad guy. Stormtroopers are just spooky skeletons. AT-ATs were created specifically to represent the enormous technological threat of the Empire's military industrial complex in the one scene on Hoth and served no other purpose. You see everyone who isn't Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader exactly as much as you need to see them in order to understand Luke and Vaders actions and motivations. Yes, even Han Solo and Princess Leia are plot devices to move the story of Luke and Vader. Obiwan dies in the Death Star because he became a narrative liability after involving Luke with the Rebellion and teaching him the Force. It is not only unnecessary to "explore" the universe and learn about people who are completely unrelated to Luke and Vader, it misses the point so completely as to become a new and unique kind of mental illness.

>The entire world exists to tell the story of Luke Skywalker suceeding where his father failed and redeeming his father in the process.
The frick outta here. The story's about Anakin. Luke's just a supporting character in his dad's story.
>a gorillion planets and galaxies to roam around in
>each planet only ever has like two locations at the most
>make moronic and wrong assessment
anyone not a dumbfrick left on Cinemaphile?
I’ll stick with Star Wars for as long as they don’t go full moron and have someone (abrahms im looking at you homosexual) introduce time travel.
Once time travel enters the Star Wars universe, it’s completely over.
Already happened. Filoni did it.
They travel faster than light without time dilation. In many ways, that's worse than time travel.
Aside from Indiana Jones, which films feature more than three countries on Earth (with defined characters from each)?
Gladiator.
Pacific Rim
we'll never get good alien characters because shitters don't want to read subtitles
star wars has never been vast. It only has a couple dozen locations. It's smaller and less varied than a tiny country in europe
There are now a dozen Star Wars spinoffs that explore all of those different megacities and environments with different characters and plotlines. Your standard film narrative has to focus on only a few characters to avoid running for 6 hours. Even then, the original Star Wars trilogy introduces you to several unique characters, cities and environments.
That's why TPM is underrated. George actually expanded the worldbuilding.
It's all Filoni's fault and his obsession with cameos. Pretty sure he has said something along the lines of if they need a new character for something, instead of creating a new character, they think of which glup shitto they can use instead. What a moronic hack
They should make a show about a human dude trying to frick every female from every sentient species
Like interspecies reviewers
The univers is made for Big Human wiener
>huge planet with billions of people on it
>near infinite galaxy of different locations
>multiplied by practically Infinite locations in time
>all episodes focus on one particular woman and her husband
can someone explain this????
Forgot pic but it doesn't really matter because i could've put literally anything here
Building around new characters and expanding SW universe is risky. Why risk when you can shit exact same thing over and over and there will be at least 100 million nerds who will buy tickets for your garbage.
George's story was about a specific family so its not surprising they're poetry. It's the moronic fanbase that has no originality, and the people in charge now are even more stupid than the fans. Can't wait to see Mando return to Tatooine in the movie.
