I expect pay off for Monarch/Rusty and Hank & Dean's mom, I think that the Guild fighting with PP will probably be the general plot but more an excuse for shit to go down rather than a true focus.Scare Bear's identity will be revealed, and he'll be the auditor.
I've been thinking a lot about this as well, given the lines of dialogue when Malcom had a dream about himself and Rusty swimming and saying 'Oh, you were never there for me!" As well as when he killed Dr.Dugong, there seems to be a recurring theme of abandonment between them.
At some point Rusty distanced himself and the Monarch never got over it.
My guess is that sometime after his parent's plane crash he might've reconnected with Rusty and promised to stay friends or something, but either forgot, died and was replaced by a clone who had no recollection of it.
>My guess is that sometime after his parent's plane crash he might've reconnected with Rusty and promised to stay friends or something, but either forgot, died and was replaced by a clone who had no recollection of it. >died and was replaced by a clone who had no recollection of it.
I can dig this explanation. The idea of a friendship (brotherhood?) being severed by the cloning process is dark enough to fit this show like a glove don't forget the part where Monarch is another Rusty clone
I guess the plot twist is they don't have a mom and they are just Rusty's clones
I mean he was researching clones before Hank and Dean were born, the college incident is probably related to that
If Aqua Teen Phantasm does well with DVD sales and subsequent Adult Swim and HBO Max airings, I'm hoping both Venture Bros. and Metalocalypse movies get made and, who knows, we could potentially see a Superjail movie or a Moral Orel movie.
If they made a whole movie since the same announcement and the other two don’t even have a trailer, clips, or a single quote from the creators while there’s also a massive wave of cancellations from the same company, what makes you think it’s coming out
we didn't get the first look at Plantasm until three months ago. they won't be promoting the Metalocalypse or Venture Bros movies either until they're about to come out
They talked about it regularly until that first look. And Aqua Teen is made basically in photoshop and Flash. The others have tons of pre production and not a single look at any of it. It’s dead.
>Moral Orel movie.
I remember seeing in an interview with Dino that if he got the chance, he would make a movie that was based on what the plot for the unproduced episodes of the show would've been.
The basic idea was Oral's grandpa gets sick and is dying, so he comes to live with the family and has to share a room (maybe a bed too, I forget) with Oral. There's a lot of friction between him and Clay.
Arthur is the one adult in town who actually gives Oral good advice on how to deal with his problems, so once he inevitably dies it shakes Oral up really bad.
I’ve been told that they’ve been on hiatus for like 6 months at least and have the possibly that it can go back into production but it’s looking very grim. Apparently Jackson sold his house in LA
Warner/AT&T is constantly doing press updates about minor stuff like every Scooby Doo property and DC movies that won’t happen for years. ATHF was part of the same order as both other movies. No one from either production has said a single word even at comic con which just happened. They also just canceled pretty much everything the company was producing and publicly stated they only had enough money to put out two movies this year which both tanked. Don’t you think they’d take any of those chances to at least MENTION that these movies still exist? Everyone on staff at Titmouse is addicted to twitter. Why wouldn’t any of them even mention what they’re working on? You’re lying to yourself. Animation is exclusively for baby shit again.
Rusty is a clone of himself, not Jonas. That was the point of the reveal during the treaty of tolerance episode. He's died before and been cloned without his knowledge just like the boys, he still has biological parents like the boys
I know the actors recorded their lines and one of them told me it ends 'beautifully' and the fans will know the characters will go on, but this is where the viewers get off.
Dialogue recording is one of the very first steps to making an animated film and it happened before the massive layoffs and restructuring. You can easily record some of one actor’s work and then can the whole thing, especially someone as important to the storyboarding as Rusty
look at the post above, the Production Manager is still on it. just wanted to post more than one piece of evidence that it's still in production as of a few weeks ago, since that one anon said it was canned months ago
This guy’s says he stopped working on it in October or at least updated his LinkedIn then. Are you saying the production is finished and there hasn’t been a trailer or single clip or release date?
he left to work on The Hospital, but that doesn't mean the Venture Bros Special is finished. may mean that production is winding down though and they don't need as many people on it
Production winding down with no mention of it by anyone in over a year and immediately following massive layoffs and complete company restructuring. Ok buddy.
there are crew members who have mentioned working on it in the past few months, like the character designer in picrel who wrapped in May. WB's layoffs + restructuring wouldn't affect this, it's being produced at Titmouse. Zaslav's cost-cutting might, but if the movie is almost finished and it hasn't been canceled as of October, it's most likely coming out
You do realize that producers are the highest level of staff on an animated film and the last to get fired right? They’re the ones there firing everyone and closing things down. Everything happening at Warner and AT&T is tax restructuring shit you moron, who do you think manages the money on a production

Yeah, because it would've taken DC on film in a direction the new owner didn't like. Dudes whole thing is that he feels like DC can make Marvel money if he manages it right, and he clearly thought Batgirl was going to make that harder. Conversely I doubt he even knows what Venture Bros. is.

yes, Batgirl was a straight-to-streaming movie that cost $90 million and was going to lose them tons of money. the Venture Bros movie likely has the same small budget that Aqua Teen Plantasm does, and it's a direct-to-video release that will make its money back immediately in DVD and digital sales. Zaslav could cancel it if he wanted to, but he has no real incentive to. and he's had 7 months to at this month, but he hasn't yet, so he probably will not at this point

Do you think a character designer works in pre-production or late production
You do realize that producers are the highest level of staff on an animated film and the last to get fired right? They’re the ones there firing everyone and closing things down. Everything happening at Warner and AT&T is tax restructuring shit you moron, who do you think manages the money on a production
This guy’s says he stopped working on it in October or at least updated his LinkedIn then. Are you saying the production is finished and there hasn’t been a trailer or single clip or release date?
If they’re under NDA they’re not allowed to change their LinkedIn and if they have another job (especially at the same company like Titmouse where both of those people still are) they don’t need to. LinkedIn isn’t the same as seeing someone’s resume, and you don’t even usually update your resume unless you have to. You’d know that if you worked anywhere better than McDonald’s
I'm suprised in situations like this there aren't more leaks. Like i know NDAs exist but no one from titmouse lurks here and can drop a hint as to whats going on?
There is literally no chance of a Venture Bros movie making money. How would it? No ads, no home video. Do you think it’ll drive up subscribers? There is literally no reason to make this movie other than for 35 year old shut in losers on the internet who are going to pirate it anyway.
ITT anons lying to themselves that Venture Bros is newsworthy anywhere other than twitter. It’s not even worth announcing it’s canceled. Why get more people angry when you can just ignore it and they don’t even remember that you announced it?
You know, I think this might actually make it so Jonas Jr. makes more sense.
Maybe it was an error they made when cloning Rusty that resulted in them accidentally making two clones at once without realizing it, so the second clone was inside the first one forever.
You know, I think this might actually make it so Jonas Jr. makes more sense.
Maybe it was an error they made when cloning Rusty that resulted in them accidentally making two clones at once without realizing it, so the second clone was inside the first one forever.
So... How can Rusty be a clone of the original if he still had Jonas Venture Jr inside of him?
Rusty absorbed Jonas Jr in the womb and that’s the being that was coned and reckoned. So Jonas Jr is also a repeated clone.
My theory is that the old cloning tech required an egg to fertilize. Over time it was perfected into the vat based tech we saw in the basement, but the original was much similar to how we clone animals today. Jonas Jr is the actual clone that Jonas was going for, while Rusty is the byproduct of some of that DNA mixing with the donor egg, making him more of a son than a clone.
The movie will basically be like a short season. They will somehow have to tie up all the loose ends because god knows if they will have another shot at ending this thing right but it could feel rushed. It would be so much better if we just got more seasons instead.
they'll do what all gen x showrunners do when they can't end a show well: they continue it in comic form, where they also won't end well, but at least then it will be all their fault
The Master getting rekted by the Order of the Triad or by anyone, the uppity homosexual.
Triana meeting with Dean after her wizard training, mindreading him, finding out even more fricked up shit about the Ventures, and realizing Dean no longer likes or even thinks about her in any capacity.
Hank slapping Sirena after punching Dean in the gut for what they did to him in front of both Wide Whale and Rusty.
Whorriana and Brock going toe-to-toe against wienertease and Monstroso and losing.
Hank and Dean meet their mother at her gravestone, only to find out she died after childbirth.
Billy and Pete accidentally kill Saint Cloud, learning he gave them all his stuff if he they kill him in Mortal Kombat, but Pei Wie starts talking about what really happens and they end up losing it all to him.
The Guild destroys the OSI in a new war, only to have the Peril Partnership come in afterwards to mop up the stragglers of both, who are then done in by 21, becoming the new Barbarian King and fulfilling his boyhood dream of having a harem.
The Monarch confronts Rusty about their DNA results and begrudgingly accepts him. Having acknowledged being a Venture, the Monarch slips on a banana peel and dies with a Donkey Kong laugh SFX coming on as it happens.
Dr. Mrs. The Monarch Guild Councilwoman watches as the Guild is destroyed for a third time and dies on Meteor Majeure along with the rest of the council. Dr. Z is not part of this, as he went on vacation with Ro-boy, Mrs. Z, and Johnny to the Bahamas at the time.
Cut to the far-future, Hank has a worldwide Hankco empire happily selling Hank products with his wife Nicky Venture nee Fictel, sons, and daughters, Dean is drinking at his desk on the top floor of the Venture News Network corporate skyscraper office with no wedding ring and no pictures of his family, save for his Dad, Brock, Uncle JJ, and Hank, and Dermott is coaching his son's football game with his wife in the stands and daughters cheerleading.
>What are you hoping for?
Hank to end up a successful business man in the epilogue, and Rusty telling Hank he's proud of him. Something like "I'm not gonna lie Hank, when you first set out on your own I had my doubts. All I kept thinking of was that summer you stole my crap from around the compound, and sold it back to me at a mark up. But looking at what you've built for yourself with Hank Co., I couldn't be more proud."
Nah, I just figure it's be a solid way to show growth for Rusty, since previously the only other time he opened up to Hank was when he thought he was justifying a choice to a kidnapper. No but I met Jackson once and he’s incredibly nice and cool. Doc still lives on the east coast as far as I know so I’ve never met him
There aren’t leaks because it barely got into pre-production
I pray that it still makes it here. The Metalocalypse movie still being in production (last I heard) gives me hope that VB still makes it.

Yeah use your knowledge of medical science and DNA to crack this case
My theory is that the old cloning tech required an egg to fertilize.
