I tend to just view things in a more logical way, often divorced from morality, because that’s just a spook that society grooms you into. If someone tries to force a belief onto you, then that person likely wants to benefit themselves more than they want to benefit you, so it’s safer to just ignore them and make your own conclusions. If authority tells you to spend your life being someone else’s punching bag and to never rebel, it’s probably best to do the exact opposite of that.
I guess in that way, I would be more of a sociopath than a psychopath. Sociopaths tend to be the more logical type.

I have to wonder if people who are dismayed by the idea of retribution have ever experienced suffering at the hands of other people. I never really experienced bad bullying but I did live in a shitty area with druggies and the gangsters who supplied them and those people made everyone else’s lives miserable. People got threatened, robbed and their property vandalised. Once my car got smashed up for no reason at all and the insurance wouldn’t even cover the cost of a replacement. If someone had torched their crack house with all of them inside I would absolutely have been happy and gone outside with popcorn to watch them burn. I got bullied pretty badly at school and it fricked my life and mind up hard to the point I got a PTSD diagnosis for it, when I was in my 20s I was still angry about it and i'd fantasize about getting revenge but now I'm in my mid 30s and a bit of self introspection let me let go of my hate and self imposed suffering. How long would I hold onto this grudge that i'd think about and make me mad for? Would I be 60 or 70 and still fuming at some point it feels you have to let go after a certain amount of time. Kids can be cruel and after 10 or 20 years hell they mght not even be the same person as they were back then, maybe they suffered some kind of abuse and took it out on you and now that they escaped it they became a good person.
I'm not saying you have to look them up and forgive them or be their friend, it's just best for you to accept it happened and let it go for your own sake, Just talking about it in therapy or doing your own mindfullness about it can help a lot.

I got bullied pretty badly at school and it fricked my life and mind up hard to the point I got a PTSD diagnosis for it, when I was in my 20s I was still angry about it and i'd fantasize about getting revenge but now I'm in my mid 30s and a bit of self introspection let me let go of my hate and self imposed suffering. How long would I hold onto this grudge that i'd think about and make me mad for? Would I be 60 or 70 and still fuming at some point it feels you have to let go after a certain amount of time. Kids can be cruel and after 10 or 20 years hell they mght not even be the same person as they were back then, maybe they suffered some kind of abuse and took it out on you and now that they escaped it they became a good person.
I'm not saying you have to look them up and forgive them or be their friend, it's just best for you to accept it happened and let it go for your own sake, Just talking about it in therapy or doing your own mindfullness about it can help a lot.
