The story is ok, it's another version of flashpoint. But some choices were absolutely bizarre. References to obscure shit like cage-supes. And I'm pretty sure they had plans for a reverse flash at the end but cut it.

It's not good, it's ok and then the third act fricks it up. Even barring the CGI it felt like it was trying way too hard to Flashpoint the DCEU by the endgame almost like the script got rewritten.
Everyone's blaming the CGI for this movie being a terrible flop but the real problem is the direction. Andy Muschietti is fricking awful. The CGI is only so bad because of how he directed the movie. Bizarre camera angles and lenses, a cartoony Looney Tunes style, awkward attempts at humor, no sense of scale or tension. He is the reason for this movie's quality, he slapped his name all over it.
everything you listed is part of what makes the movie watchable, literally all the humor lands and there's easily genuine emotion and tension

The baby sequence is already infamous because of how ridiculous it is. A more competent director would've executed it more convincingly while retaining the humor. Flash 2.0 is an unfunny moron for no reason at all and acts like a moron to artificially build conflict. And no there is no tension at all when we know they can just time travel whenever they want, there wasn't even a reason for them to fight Zod.

I don't understand the Flash's character in this movie. He's awkward, anti-social, literally a virgin loser who lives in a tiny apartment. But Ezra Miller is rather charming and attractive. It makes more sense to make the Flash's character have more of an attitude and be more confident in himself. Am I misremembering or wasn't he kinda like that in Justice League?

I thought it was alright. The plot did resonate with me a lot more than most cape movies due to how relatable the circumstances were that triggered the plot. There were also two moments that really got to me. Him calling out his alternate self for not knowing how lucky he was and the ending where he said farewell to his mother. Love your parents, anons.
