ya know, as soon as the show stopped being live it really lost its luster. I know there was a 20 second delay but it was so so much better. then he went to spotify and everyone jumped ship, like nope I'm not signing up to watch on a shitty streaming platform with ads almost no player controls

Watching Joeragan in the first place was your mistake. Everytime I think I can respect Cinemaphile a little, I remind myself you tools are the guys who like Rogan and Howard Stern.

I enjoyed the conversations with the guests whether rogan is a tool or not, I never took his advice on anything. either way it used to be decent content to watch everyday

oh no I have a good adblocker but if you touch the controls to forward or back. the whole web browser freezes. it's such a shit platform

Besides the guests (that are now all his yes men bootlickers) what's the appeal? JR is asleep on weed 3/4 of the time and will mumble some useless "question" here and there to show the audience he is not completely dead yet

The appeal is niche guests, becasue, contrary to popular opinion, Rogan is actually a good listener and lets his guests talk. Sadly, niche guests are a diamond dozen.

and thats what no one else did

Depends on the guest. He only talks over people if he's dealing with fellow comedians. That's where he gets the most insecure because being a comedian is his entire identity and that's where he gets the urge to assert himself. The episodes with Doug Stanhope were terrible because Joe would not let Doug even finish so much as a thought.

Mainstream still exists. And internet is mainstream. My friends aren't the type of guys who dwell the internet, but I'm sure they all know who Joe Rogan is. He's become a brand. And a reminder American cultural imperialism is still out in full force. He's a shit comedian and a shit interviewer. Dude weed lmao. The format does have redeeming qualities.

guests got worse once he went to spotify.
Out of the last 20 guests, unironically 17 are comedians.

Joe Rogan has some cringe moments but he's still bro-tier in my opinion.

I don't mind listening to JRE but I cannot stand the people who talk about him like he's a guru. My brother in law listens to him almost religiously and will send me snippets of the podcast and it annoys me to no end.

I used to watch Joe Rogan despite the childish antics but since Lex Fridman started his podcast, there's no longer any reason to watch Rogan. Lex has better guests and they have better conversations about insightful topics instead of everything revolving around Joe Rogan's meathead need to make everything about hunting and "wokeness".

I find it hiilarous how only Gaad Saad had the common courtesy to point out this guy's fake credentials.

Rogan is unironically probably smarter than Lex.

He absolutely radiates fatherless energy. His whole life is just trying to understand how other men feel at ease with themselves because they were raised by a father.
