What video player are you using? If you are downloading the Bernd Lauert rips the subs should be included. It might just be a matter of finding the sub track option within your player or downloading a different one, like VLC or MPV.

In this case, I wouldn’t put it squarely on Adamai. All of the Eliatropes should have suggested it to him if it somehow didn’t occur to him naturally; since they all failed to see it, I blame Tot. Fighting fire with fire seems extremely elementary in this scenario.

Fair enough. I got into Wakfu from the show naturally so I was really hoping for a Mechasm rematch because space robots are cool after seemingly being set up in S2, but I understand they're kinda extinct in the here and now.
It also bothers me that the heroes never seem to think of fighting the Wakfu-eating creatures with forces of pure Stasis like, say, Rubilex when they know that the Necromes just get stronger from Wakfu attacks and can even counter portals. Nope, their best idea is still just Amalia making wood weapons.

The travelers/watchmen were superior in every way to the eliotropes and I would've loved to see them in season 4 everything from the necromes, to eliatropes to even traveling to other worlds / fighting otherworldly creatures is straight up their alley.

The season finale is in hell and the contestants are the gods and Rushu and they turn it into the craziest Mario Kart race ever (and find a way to screw mortals over in the process).

Just watched the Oropo OVA. Incredible that Grougal actually fricking won against the demigods pulling out everything they could and Oropo ended up squealing like a little b***h while soul-trapped in the Eliacube, with how Grougal's character archetype tends to fair I was expecting him to job.
Just this once, I'll concede that western animation has surpassed anime because god damn as shit a character concept as Oropo is the actual fight is the DBZ/Naruto fight of my dreams.
Aside from echo the others where eliotropes. Who'd be much weaker than I'd say full power Yugo.
Also, Grougal was struggling in all honesty if not for Chibi I honestly think he'd lose probably to Aton they were the most busted even more so than Bullion.

Gods are spirits of wakfu in the same way Shushu are spirits of stasis. The belief and worship in the material plane feeds and empowers them but they still have inherent strength and growth all their own.
The 2 that rose are likewise spirits. Mortals don't typically rise to proper Godhood, though they can be objects of worship making them faux Gods, basically.
There's fricking tonnes of Gods and demons working behind the scenes for WoT but the Ten have the monopoly on worship and run the joint deciding who should and shouldn't be worshiped along with them - like how they rejected Rushu.
Xelor works with demons though, he doesn't care. They're basically the same thing anyway.
Goult's mantling is fricking weird and I'm sure some other loremaster has the proper take but I interpret as him "saving his seat" insofar as he's the center of Iop worship at the moment and as such empowered by it - but that doesn't quite make him a spirit. That said demi-god's aren't exactly entirely mortal either - which is where all the messes come from.

The 6 Dofus and the primordial fire ritual can automatically ascend you to God status.
That's literally the ending of Dofus, the gods open the doors to inglorium to (You) and you ascend(even though gameplay wise you are still a weak human).
Being a god doesn't mean much in the krozmos though, as there's tons of divine spirits. but the 6 dofus can make you equal to the 12 on divinity and power.
Pretty much the reason why Yugo got the god status too even though he wasn't originally a divine spirit.
He also does it in the lore for Krozmaster

The sci fi aspect is cool, but to me, the Mechasms are awesome because they’re the first villains in the setting. They were the earliest bad guys, and what’s more, they absolutely did not frick around. They kicked the ass of the good guys, hard. So hard that they had to run away and never return, and that Orgonax by himself was able to pretty much solo all 12 of the first council.

I want to know how Shushus and Necromes relate to each other since they’re both hellbent on destruction and converting souls, but for different reasons. Does Rushu know about the Necromes? Are they competitors or potential allies? There’s no way the demons wouldn’t jump at the chance to use them to get into the Material plane.

Presumably because they're also decent at fighting - even if not capable of sucking Wakfu, they might see the demons as threats to their own consumption and would take them out so they can get to the Wakfu - and the demons are shown (at least in one of the credits scenes) to have qualms about destroying literally everything (as the Necromes did) because then they'd have nothing to destroy, so they're at least somewhat sustainable Wakfu farmers - and seeing something so blindly destructive/short-sighted as the Necromes would be disturbing to the shushus, especially if they're also a bodily threat to all but the most powerful.
And Necromes have no morale problem and as shown with Adamai vs the sram necromes they can work together to bring down stronger foes.

Well not really their fault even before the slip ups, even after 3 seasons, 2 games, an Xbox game, a manga, a movie about 1 of the games, and toys, the world at large still isn't taking Wakfu into the mainstream so at this point its almost a waste of money, this is ignoring the last few moblie games which most are now down if I recall. The fact that Wakfu's main anime has had to be crowdfunded in general should tell you how much they gave up on them. To be fair, I wanted to play the game but I don't care for strategy games like that let alone an MMO for it and the Xbox game was before my time/I didn't know it existed when it came around.

Shinonome was able to communicate with Qilby with her memories intact even in the egg so most likely would retain his adult brain even as a child but then again, Shinonome being able to speak to Qilby could be retconned at any given moment all things considering. My headcanon is that he gains back all his memories as soon as he’s able to use his powers when he comes of age.

If he was just an immortal it'd be one thing, but his immortality is dependent on his returning to childhood, and he's tied by fate with a bunch of people whose personalities are at minimum antagonistic to him; imagine going through puberty over and over again, and each time not only do you have siblings who will never understand your position and get angry when you stand up for yourself, but seeing constant repeats of arguments you've had in the past - your siblings making the same mistakes you've seen them make many times before, because of their innate stubbornness. They're praised for eventually growing up past that, and are called "wise" or are revered as "king" while you're never praised, only condemned, cautioned against, and treated with suspicion.
If Qilby could leave the whole Eliatrope race behind and be his own man on some backwater, he'd probably have a better time of it, but it's that knowledge that unless you act up and act out, things will go on a very predictable path of unnecessary pain, and the worst part is, it's extremely boring. Everybody else is sappy and emotionally driven, but you've seen this season before. You know how it ends. And it's never with you being the hero, despite the genuine resource your knowledge, foresight, and insight provide. Never do they even try to hear you out, and if they do, it'll never be enough.
The white space is hell because it's a reflection of what his life is, but out there he can have fun trying new things, at least.

You'd need enough energy to make a portal between worlds and there were only 2 big sources of wakfu needed for it, Mechasms hearts and the 6 Eliatrope dofus.
And who knows what happens when you use the dofus(for now Qilby is fine using them in S4 though, but again, there's also Yugo's case), also I think they also need to know exactly where to place the portal.

They only visit known places like the Inglorium dimensions where the gods actually let them in though.
In Wakfu the MMO, Sram forgot about the dimensional travelers but, the ways to travel to Srambad were known ever since the Dofus era.
The watchers are Xelor's time jannies so of course they are granted access to the different dimensions, WoT and the end of the world.

I think in both the manga and Islands of Wakfu they explain his reasoning for fricking up the relationship between the Elia and Mechs was because he needed a reason to get them all off their original home to explore the Krozmos to quell his boredom. The first time he did it, he came as the “saviour” for all his people when he introduced the Eliacube and spaceship. Then he tried this shit again on pre-WoT by activating the cube causing Organax to locate them but was caught that time and sent to the Shadow Realm. I think this was mostly in the manga though, I don’t remember too much about the Islands of Wakfu, just that he still indeed started everything there but I’m not sure if the reason why remains the same.

Oh yeah, there was some underlying plot about the Elias hiding their true origins and the goddess either being fake (that giant plant) or perhaps she wasn’t since Nora and Efrim’s special trait was that they could hear her, which was retconned into being just Efrim. Most of that seems to have been retconned honestly (not surprised), it also doesn’t seem like Qilby’s suffering from his unquenchable boredom but his jealousy towards Yugo because Chibi chose him to inherit the crown despite their closeness.

An interesting point he makes is during his fight with Yugo, about how he started to realize that by not pursuing space travel, the Eliatrope people were effectively being imprisoned onto one planet.
The children all got evacuated to that pocket dimension with Balthazar, and Yugo wants them to be free and able to leave... which is the same thought process that Qilby had except on a larger scale.
He knew that their species was capable and destined for greater things, but they "couldn't see the bigger picture like he could", and thus couldn't see how they were limiting themselves

Madagaskan has been pretty cool. It’s just not the right time for any character or plot that doesn’t have anything to do with the Eliocalypse.
Plus I’ve been enjoying seeing Eliatrope so utterly broken by her captivity that the literal incarnation of life force in the universe is reduced to a nervous mess. It’s not what I would have expected but it makes her a lot more human than if she could have just brushed it off and been a stoic, unconcerned immortal.
As much as I like the current season, it's almost a completely different show. The BoT is basically dead as a group and at this point it only needs it's members to officially disband it. Az the tofu has retired, Eva, Tristepin and kids have their own complicated life, Ruel is on a solo quest with 0,05% of screen time, Yugo does his own thing with his actual family and only Amalia simps along with him.

Where do you get the fire from? How hard is it to locate? I'm asking mainly because how hard would it be for, say, an Eliatrope like Yugo to go do it and make himself a god?
You first need the 6 primordial dofus, then there's a big dragon statue in Pandala where the dofus belong, after that you are put to a test by elemental spirits, then you finally go to "The End of the World" which is located in WoT atmosphere and finally you need to tame the 6 dragon fires and bathe in the primordial fire when they combine.
For what we know, the 6 Eliatrope dofus just work differently.
Huh, and the dragon fires are just...hanging out at "The End of the World"? You'd think the 12 would be more cautious about potentially creating more competition amongst their ranks, like some random Cra challenging the actual goddess Cra for being the best archer.

Yugo is an entertaining protagonist, but an absolutely incompetent god.
He's already literally a demi-god and was at one stage a proper God complete with followers which he can now tap into like an Eliatrope'd out David Haller. Add to that the fact he's done some weird combination ritual in this very episode and can now push back the corrupting effects of the sphere and he's a triple God at this stage if anything. Frankly he should double dip with Osa's Dragonfire just to be absolutely sure but yeah, he's doing okay.
Fricking hell. I cried man. Qilby's my favorite character of all time and seeing him finally get that redemption... His fight against Lokus was just so good, the animation, soundtrack (remix of the eliatrope people btw), the choreography, the voice acting of Laurent Morteau... Absolutely insane, 10/10 episode.
Mechasms are absolutely wild too. Their intelligence seems to be "above" ours in many ways, like Nora said "they don't think like us". Perhaps they were there before the Krosmic Dance that created the Krosmoz, so they could be just as old as Eliatrope and The Great Dragon?
Knowing that the secret OVA we unlocked with the Kickstarter was supposed to be about the Mechasms... the future is bright for Mechasm fans. We waited, but looks like their origins are gonna be even better than we ever could have imagined. Qilby fans though... I'm so sad. I don't understand their motivations or origins, or why they would coexist peacefully with Eliatropes for so long, but they feel more and more like a manifestation of entropy. One that exists for destruction, but perhaps doesn't pursue it as wantonly as demons and necromes... Destruction in the service of the Krosmic Balance?
Is it even certain Mechasms (or Orgonax) are destroyers? Honestly at this point, the entire Mechasm backstory we got from Season 2 and the manga might be completely retconned. Their iteration in S4 is just so... out there compared to what we got before. Orgonax might not even be the youngest, he might not be the strongest, and the Mechasm civilization might've been retconned to only the 7 Mechasms we saw in [spoilerQilby's vision[/spoiler]. They might just be "primordial beings" and not a race/civilization anymore.

I remember in S2 Qilby tells Adamai that the spaceship (Mount Zinit) requires an ass ton of wakfu to power up so whenever they activated it, it would drain a planet of it's wakfu to the point of death so I thought that was why their old planet died. I think that's why the dog enemies of Islands of Wakfu were so pissed, their planet was one of them while the Eliatropes were on their voyage. Correct me if I'm wrong. Wait, Organax willingly gave his heart to Qilby? Huh?
It was never confirmed if the eliatropes did that, but I think it's highly unlikely given how the Lufu's were being actively hunted apparently for their wakfu.

He really was fantastic in these last couple of episodes
It's interesting how he doesn't even have a major epiphany or his worldview upended or anything. He's the same guy, he just has more of a chance to show what he would do when pushed into a corner. In any other series Yugo would be the one to beat sense into him or reach him or somehow redeem him, but instead whatever changed with Qilby seems to be a pretty low key combination of getting to see his mom again, having an opponent FUN enough to lay his life on the line against and getting to hang out with the Eliatropes enough to remember they're all family.
The series doesn't shy away from the fact that because Yugo is literally too young to have a coherent argument with an immortal with perfect memory, QILBY is the one who has to take the initiative to do a good turn on his own terms.

This whole season is reminding me how i need to rewatch season 2
Dewit, while the current seasons aren't exactly awful there is a noticeable but subtle animation quality drop between S1-2 and 3-4. To be clear the animation that IS present is still fantastic, but I really feel like there's just MORE of it in the first two and they're allowed to animate things like massive wars for longer periods of time.
I sorta suspect this is part of why the powerlevels of been ratcheting up, it's easier to animate 2-3 guys going DBZ on one villain than it is to draw armies fighting I imagine
the qilbyposting unironically is a good way to compare the artstyle and animation changes
I don't hate the new animation and they do have to be judicious with their kickstarter bucks but everything used to move a lot more, look more angular, and have more shading. They did pretty good on the fights and the composition of rhe necroworld shots though

Karmically making things is wafku and destroying things is stasis but in terms of the actual phenomena and their affects? Stasis is less likely to make something inert than Black magic would. Because while there's Stasis/Demons and Wakfu/Gods even just within the Gods there's Black Magic and White Magic. Making things inert is Black Magic. We see tonnes of shit actively powered by stasis in all Ankama media.
Based on the fact necromes are hungry as frick and need to survive, so stasis would make them even more hungry to the point of dying

And you can give Gods the Wak attack as well. But you can also beat Necroms with sticks so it's a moot point. The only thing you can't do is hit them with Wakfu. Magic, materials and Stasis all work equally well.

From my understanding they're general phenomena created from a non-specific power source. That is to say, if you're not an eliatrope or a necrom you'll be using abilities like Arbormancy, bloodmancy, fricking voodoo, time control ect.

Wakfu is life energy, having it drained ages you. Of course, it doesn't actually make much sense since we've already seen what happens to Yugo when his wakfu drained, but they needed some excuse to age him up.
Dofuses aren't like normal eggs, they don't break when you hatch from them. And when one of the original 6 eliatropes or their dragon siblings dies, they return to the dofus.

He just took his world's set. There was never just six or tweleve. Rather hardcore powerful ones come in sets of six for whatever krozmic reason. It makes sense there would be other sets of six on other worlds - or it could. The other way to interpret this is that, as the story implies the Gods of Ten made this world before the World of Twelve, this is just another case of their doing - and the big 6 Dofus sets tend to result from Gods interceding in the creation of a world.

There are quite a few. There are the 6 Eliatrope Dofus from which the original 6 Eliatropes and their Dragon siblings are born from. Then there are the 6 Primordial Dofus that Osamodas's dragons laid and which Ogrest collected. Then there are a few other random ones laid by other dragons, which I'm not familiar with because I haven't read the comics or played the MMOs. Toross Mordal also has his own set of Dopfus presumably laid by dragons on his planet.

Even Oropo, who was and Elio, lacks the marks in his final years after absorbing the others, so is it tied to some sort of Wakfu Overflow side effect? The only time Yugo got close to it, baring if it happens in season 4 which I'm only on episode 2 for now, was when he used all 6 and starting getting major tattoos but his skin remained fine.

Canonically, the races never meet outside of oropo telling Yugo they existed but technically, if the wakfu MMO is to be trusted they somehow came back, at least a few did
