>Character assassination
>Literally the one comics-accurate aspect of her character
okay buddy
It was a character assassination when Byrne wrote it, Bendis too.
Wanda was a nobody before Bendis.
She spent years in limbo because of him, nobody at Marvel wants to use her anymore because of him, and you think he somehow improved her profile as a character?
"jesus was nobody before judas"
Unironically true
Kinda, in a way.
Not really. In the gospel according to his disciples, people were throwing themselves at his feet just for a chance they might be cured of some ailment
Judas was only doing god's work. If Judas didn't betray Jesus to the Romans, jesus wouldn't have been crucified. No crucifixion, no death for our sins, nobody gets saved everybody keeps going to hell.
Judas Iscariot saved your soul. You should be thanking him.
she'll get ressurrected in 5 years to help beat Kang
She'll have to work for it.
They made her evil out of nowhere (she certainly wasn't portrayed as "evil" at the end of Wanda-Vision), so it stands to reason that they can just make her "good" again out of nowhere (especially with the ending of Multiverse of Madness where she basically acknowledged she was in the wrong). Hell, she went from bad to good in Age of Ultron already, we've seen it all before. You'd probably only need a few scenes which feature some repentance or regret from her in whatever movie/show she next features in, and most people would be fine with it. It's not like these Marvel movies are super deep.
Given that they went with "the Darkhold did it" it puts her on the same moral footing as the Winter Soldier, and, by that same setup, a better person than Valkyrie.
To be fair like half the MCU villains are better people than Valkyrie. Abomination in the present, Malekith, Lawfey and Surtur (were just seeking vengeance against the tyranny of Asgard; Lawfey was willing to forgive Odin in the timeline where he gave back Loki for him to raise), Vulture.
Scarlet Witch has never been good, there was nothing there to assassinate.
Give her a fatass
>where do we go from here?
Olsen wants to do House of M, that could be the first X-Men movie
>Olsen wants to do House of M
So things are only going to get worse.
are you stupid?
Wanda is bigger than ever
>Wanda is bigger than ever
Hot. Is she at Power Girl tier yet?
Depends on the artists.
She's at "my fan artists draw me way rounder than I am in canon" tier. So, Raven tier.
Strange broke the rules when an existential threat was already tearing them apart. Wanda broke the rules to ruin some lives who were perfectly fine without her.
>She's at "my fan artists draw me way rounder than I am in canon" tier. So, Raven tier.
I don't think the difference between the canon art boob size and the fan art boob size is anywhere near as bad as Raven or X23. Wanda's supposed to be one of Marvel's bigger heroines, it's just a question of how big.
>Wanda's supposed to be one of Marvel's bigger heroines
It she? She has the same proportions as like 70% of women who put on spandex in comics. Something about superpowers just comes with free D-cups.
Anon, she can go much bigger.
Character assasination would be Falcon and WS antagonizing man for doing his job of killing terrorists who wanna harm America and its people despite all 3 having been soldiers.
Oh boy, public execution apologia. That never gets old.
They've all killed people publicly before being US military. Bucky has murdered many innocent so he cant say anything. Falcon can be understood in a way since he's meant to be the righteous main character.
>everybody knew what would happen before it even happened
>character assassination
Are Wandagays moronic? At least in the comics she was a hero, she was never one in the MCU. Cap was proven to be naive about many things during and after Civil War. Her being one of those things.
>At least in the comics she was a hero, she was never one in the MCU.
>being one of the Avengers doesn't count as being a hero
Because it's crap. In comics and in the MCU, she isn't a good or compelling villain, it was a mistake in comics, that the MCU has repeated because they think it's her big story.
>that the MCU has repeated because they think it's her big story.
It *is* her big story. Whether or not it should have happened at this point is irrelevant, it happened and it was recognized as canon and it has been a big part of her character ever since. You might as well be arguing that kryptonite is a dumb idea and never should have been canon and no one should ever use it again because it was just a lazy way to make Superman comics appear to have tension when they didn't. It doesn't matter if you have a good argument, you don't have a time machine. This is the version of the character that exists whether you like it or not.
Why does she need to recover? Why can't she just embrace being a villain?
Your pussyfied stories where every character needs to be redeemed and become good don't have to be the norm, OP. People can go bad and stay bad.
Bottomming for Zatanna in the upcoming skin flick
yeah how can she recover from being the most interesting marvel character
If you find printer paper interesting, sure
>Inb4 she gets Loki'd
Have Strangegays ever provided a counter-argument that wasn't pure cope or whataboutism?
Strange "broke the rules" to save half of the universe
Wanda broke the rules to kidnap children from their real mother.
We've seen what happens when Dr. Strange breaks the rules too much in the newest movie.
He fricking dies.
And Batman commits a dozen felonies before breakfast. Wanda forgot that she is in a cape setting where morality has more to do with the character's intent than with their actions.
Strange broke the rules to save other people. Wanda broke the rules to satisfy her own selfish needs. That's the difference.
>heroe
They blew it. She unironically could have been their top female hero. Her popularity shot up after Wandavision. It felt like all the MCU fans were talking about her, all the female fans were cosplaying her (A TON) of cosplay, they were finally onto something when it came to a female hero but NOPE time to make her an irredeemable villain because we wanna push Captain Marvel.
