>want to see return of Christopher Daniel Barnes version of Spiderman from 1994 and see his story concluded
>Don't want him to get Character assassinated and his multiverse ruined by meta "canon" making the universes like the armoured Spiderman never happen.
It would be the perfect premise for it.
But i don't want to suffer like Spectacular chads.
TAS chads why can't we win...

If you know they'll vandalize him why do you crave for a comeback of TAS Spidey? You some sort of pain bawd?

My headcon is that for once in Spideys life things go as planned and he finds MJ.

yeah they would ruin him and thats a shame, Christopher is to Spiderman what Kevin is to Batman.

If there’s one spider that can prove to all the others that canon events are bullshit it’s him and madam web, miguel’s shit is an algorithm madam web has access to the real deal

    >TAS reboot.
    >Spidey finally clocks a guy.
    >Villain is thrown of by this.
    >"What? Never saw a guy throw a punch before?"
And then the rest is TAS introducing Miles.

They would do this with a Spectacular Spider-Man revival too
      It's genuinely a shame

God they'd do it to. You know they wouldn't be able to resist introducing him and probably Gwen within the first revival season.

I always though the ending works well enough.
Silver Surfer ends with definitive Thanos victory, Unlimited ends with symbiotic end of the world.
TAS merely tells you that Madame Web and Peter will find the real MJ eventually and ultimately everything will be alright.

It just annoys me that they spent a whole five minutes jerking off Stan that *could've* been used for resolving this on-screen. I get wanted to pay respect to the co-creator, but the story has to come first.

        >that they spent a whole five minutes jerking off Stan that *could've* been used for resolving this on-screen. I get wanted to pay respect to the co-creator, but the story has to come first.

It may sound pretentious but hearing the explanation that it was basically Spider-man confronting his creator makes it seem like it brings Spider-man as a meta concept full circle. Stan is basically a stand in for the sum of all spider-man creators at that point, he's confronted with his nature as a character, and realizes he's breaking the confines of the cycle he's had and is determined to press forward. We almost don't need the ending because effectively, his mental conflicts are over (and his mental turmoil is the real drive of the series, with Peter's internal monologue always pondering over the issues he's in), so that area of conflict is over. We know he's going to find MJ out of genre conventions.
I still completely get why it feels like bullshit not to get an actual ending, but 25 years later I can respect that ending more.

I think people place to much emphases on endings a lot of the time. Especially these days. A good adventure is always about the adventure. The ending IS important but it's not the part people should be coming in to see. The ending is the coda. The wrap up. And as the last thing we see when we turn off the show it does leave a lasting impression certainly but it's the adventure itself that grips us.

This of course ends up being extra true in the super hero genre. Which by design aren't meant to end. Ever. It's a coming criticism of them but I also feel like that can miss the point too. We're not reading to find the last spider-man story. We're reading because the stories themselves are entertaining. It's episodic with some through plots and continuity. Even if the show ended with Spidey and MJ back together, he's still gonna be out there being Spider-man. Maybe the ending worked or maybe it didn't, but I think I like the idea of ending the show by giving the audience a farewell but an encouraging the journey continues. Because that's how our own lives our.

Christopher Daniel Barnes as Spiderman is too good natured for Miles. Modern Marvel cannot handle banter.

My heart goes out to Spectacularchads who had to put up with the character assassination in the movies, and I'm praying they don't do the same with TAS and pic related.

        Did Slott "confirm" it?
Or was it somone of actual importance to TAS.

This is the bullshit Slott believes in.
Semper denied that it's the same continuity, so I'd take Semper's word over Slott's.

I know about this, but honestly, it doesn't seems fitting to me.

The 90s series followed plots taken from the main comics, including the original Secret Wars and the Clona Saga, so they should follow that path in order to complete the series.

He's still the go to voice for Spider-man in my head. I'm rereading the Roger Stern stuff and his voice just clicks perfect.
