That ending Jesus >Fox thinks he sees the Vietnamese girl on a bus >apologizes to her saying he mistook her for someone else >girl goes “here that means that someone special is thinking of you”
Damn man
Pretty good movie but not as substantiative as other Vietnam films which is why I think it's mostly forgotten compared to the other ones. It only shows 1 event with the same group of characters.
Yeah it’s a smaller movie not wider in scope like Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Rambo I and II, Born on the Fourth of July, Forest Gump, Good Morning Vietnam or The Deer Hunter. Still feels more “real” than those films however.
It doesn't go into the psychology of the characters either. It's very much a sensory film, you are just supposed to watch the rape and murder unfold and feel how cruel it is in the moment. It works very well in that regard
don't like war movies
ones I've seen ranked
Platoon- super overrated. top tier cast though
Apocalypse Now- visually gorgeous
Fury - don't remember anything
Saving private ryan -boomer truth slop
full metal jacket- one of kubricks worst
deer hunter - beautiful wedding
hacksaw ridge - meh
hurt locker- meh
american sniper- meh
jar head- meh
black hawk down - kino
the covenant - surprisingly good
>anything starring Sean Penn
>kino
You've never even seen the movie moron. It was directed by Brian De Palma in his prime
He played a great israelite in Carlito's Way. Who the frick didn't like that one
>Carlito's Way.
yeah that was kino, i take my post back
He's starred in plenty of MallicKINO
He's an butthole for several reasons but one of the best actors
"We have a VC suspect. Is that what you mean? She's a VC prostitute and we're gonna have fun with her."

Born on the Fourth of July has to be the most depressing one

This isn't a war movie, it's a rape movie. It's not about war, it's about rape. Rape! You homosexual. have a nice day.
Can anyone recommend any more rape kinos?
Kids
Straw Dogs
t. pajeet
It's a propaganda movie literally based on a newspaper or magazine article about a true incident. America bad.
Imagine watching a Vietnam film and expecting the filmmaker to portray America as the heroes. Knuckle dragging moron
>America bad
Yes.
Would you do it Cinemaphile?
Rape and kill her or welch on your bros who did it? Yes, to both.
Good movie, I'm glad Michael J Fox's character avenged the vietnamese woman
Yeah it was good he got some closure before his Parkinson’s or Cerebral Palsy set in.
Vaccines and seed oils.
Why would those be factors in MJF developing Parkinsons?
Ken Burns Vietnam War documentary really puts these films into perspective.
I felt bad for that girl and for what they did to her. the movie was a success at that.
>expect war movie
>it's just rape and rape guilt with one guy who didn't do any raping
It's a Twilight Zone episode stretched out into a movie.
