>warm and vivid color palate, extremely distinct look
>basically reference quality on every home media release
>25 years later decide to regrade it to muted blue and green, and obliterate the detail with digital noise reduction
James Cameron is a homosexual
Colour palette can be regraded with good base footage. It's the terrible DNR here which makes people faces look all waxy and shit.
Top is way too warm.
it's set in LA it's warm
And it looks too red. Also the 4K version has more info on the bottom while the 2009 bluray is cropped more.
>more info
*flicks your forehead*
*rapes your mouth*
Enjoy your cropped image lmao
*bites your dick*
Back the frick off
>cropped more
it's not the same frame dude
Can confirm that the town looks like mars at sunset
>NOOOO YOUR MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO ONLY LOOK GREEN AN BLUE BECAUSE LE VISUAL TONE I LEARNED FROM A YOUTUBER
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOUR MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO MISSING A THIRD OF THE IMAGE BECAUSE I AM LE moron THAT NEED MOVIE TO LOOK BLOOD RED BECAUSE..........................LE WARM!
>NOOOOOOOO DONT KEEP THE FILMS ORIGINAL LOOK BECAUSE... OLD IS LE BAD
If you open your blinds youll find out that afternoon sun is orange
>the late afternoon sunlight is too warm it needs to be more green
You're a moron.
Just set your TV picture to Warm colors
every single fricking tv at the gym i go to has some weird setting on like that where it's all too saturated and also they all have interpolation on and everything looks like shit but nobody notices except for me because i'm special
why are there tvs at the gym i need absolute stillness
my apartment's treadmills have a blank screen with a logo bounce and it's seared into my fricking eyes
they are only there so that i notice all the black people in the ads, they have every channel and there's only ever ads
top one is closer to how it looked in theaters
You buying the same movie again as if you can see the difference between HD and UHD on your peasant sized television is the homosexual thing to do.
Most 4k bd are worse than their 1080p versions because of what's been done to the colors.
There's a few exceptions like TGTBATU where people were mad at the 1080p scans color grade first so the 4k is better to appease people that were already mad.
Less smearjob dnr though, as a rule.
>Most 4k bd are worse than their 1080p versions because of what's been done to the colors
also unless you're watching on a $3K television with insane brightness, a lot of 4K media will look muted and dim in comparison
>hisense
Top looks atrocious, as though you calibrated your TV all wrong. Bottom looks good.
Remember to put your TV into FILMMAKER MODE, boys.
it seems you have never watched the bottom one. noise reduction looks like garbage. the color regrade is just a blue filter in the entire movie. ruins the mood for many shots. audio sucks as well all these new 9.1+ turbo audio remastering are made in order to watch shit in your garage with bluetooth soundbars. nothing like rip AC3 audios from laserdisc where you have practically the same tracks used in theater. not to mention that many new audio remaster replace a lot of sounds.
both version are trash. they should release openmatte Imax version of this movie. frick cameron.
bottom encode is a crime, what are these morons thinking doing this
If it doesnt look different enough boomers will take their $5000 tvs back
Terminator 2 is the one movie that has never been "reference grade"
They made john asian?
top looks like a movie from 1991 and it's not acceptable
down looks like some fricking youtube video from the 2010s and that's a good thing
the T2 4K is notoriously the worst 4k release of all time. tied for second place is Pirates of the Carribean and Hot Fuzz.
>James Cameron is a homosexual
He just loves teal and blue, that's all... more than any man alive. The warm California daytime exteriors are beautifully warm looking and the night sequences are very, very blue, almost monochrome. It's just how he is. The worst thing about the 4K Blu-ray is the aggressive denoising. It's Predator 3D tier.
>He just loves teal and blue
because it reminds him of the ocean, the man is obsessed
looks like upscaled 480p shit
is to show the frame and comes from the dvd you moron.
Yep the 4K remaster was shit
you can't judge which is better by pictures taken of a screen(likely with a phone) and then uploaded here, where it will additionally be filtered through each posters unique screen settings. Anyone passing judgement disqualifies their opinion
im sure your wall organically changed color and you didnt frick with your camera filters
many such cases
the leaves at the top are more red than green
>obliterate the detail with digital noise reduction
DNR has come a very long way since the early days of Bluray. We use AI and it's very subtle now. It's used on every single film release that you don't even notice it. For every 1 DNR example you point out, there are 20 that you don't notice and get by you.
