Warner Bros at the verge of bankarupcy (again)

It's not a surprise, just with what they did with HBO Max shows the people behind Warner/Discovery are morons. Never thought I would ever see Disney and Warner falling at the same time but here we are. Do you guys think they could merge to save themselves or are both companies doomed?

Shazam 1 was a hit and BvS was 90% what Snyder intended, with only added scenes being more esponiage leading up to the trial scene with Superman.

A movie doesn't need to make Man of Steel numbers to be a hit, just as long as it makes money back and has good word of mouth. Man of Steel made 600 million but it's poor word of mouth meant there was never going to be a Man of Steel 2. If Shazam bombed then they didn't would have greenlit a sequel and BvS wasn't a hackjob. That's a cope from autistic DC and Snyder gays to over hype the extended edition that came out as if it was a Justice League-level redo when that wasn't the case. I watched both and there was barely a difference between the two.
              >For you to lie
You're saying in that in a thread claiming WB will go bankrupt when the only source is some random homosexual on Twitter. It's autists pretending a conglomerate like WB revolves around DC when it's now merged with Discovery and had more legs to stand on now than before. It's fanboy slop that only morons like you could fall for.

One day there's going to be a lesson on the history of cinema that goes
    >Once upon a time there used to be a big studio called Warner Bros. And there was a director who worked for them, not everyone liked him but a big group of people were rabid fanatics for him and would buy tickets to all his films.
    >But the boss Kevin Chihuahua didn't like the director or his fans, he didn't want to make movies that not every pleb could clap along to, despite the fact that Marvel already effortlessly dominated the pleb clapping sungenre. So he chose instead to destroy the studio by continually trying to make movies that everyone liked, failing horribly, and instead making movies that nobody liked. By the time he was fired it was too late.

        >Not starting the DCU in the first place would've saved them

Coward logic. These characters have successfully shared continuities for decades in the comics and animated series. It's not some gimmick they slapped on to the movies, its an inherent feature of the characters that they'd just been leaving out for their own convenience until Marvel's success shamed them into finally attempting it. The fact that they failed at the attempt doesn't mean the concept is flawed, just that they didn't do it right. Comic fans *want* these characters to interact. It's why everyone went apeshit over the MCU to begin with.

Imagine this logic applied to other businesses. Like, if a restaurant manager fired their one competent chef then kept hiring inept chefs who burned the steak and then instead of hiring another competent chef said "well, clearly no one likes steak so we'll stop serving it" that would sound like delusional cope, right? That's what WB did. They told Affleck, a guy who has oscars for writing and directing, to stfu and sit on the bench while they let the Patty Jenkins and Cathy Yans of the world do whatever the frick they wanted. The DCEU should have worked and can still work, just not when it's in the hands of morons

It won't matter anyway. They go "bankrupt", it goes straight to the creditors. I think AT&T's shareholders owe like 70% of the company, and that's the same shadowy dark money investors (Vanguard, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, etc.) anyway.

right now, its not warner that are morons, its discovery for trying to pay off all the debt they accrued by pulling audiences.

see, before being bought by AT&T, warner was calling all of its movies "assets" and leveraging them based upon some arbitrary valuation between the budget and box office gross. Last time a telecommunications company did that, was worldcom, and it was a disaster, so AT&T dropped warner as quickly as possible. Then discovery tried to get the company back in the black, and obviously failed.

The only difference between WB and the other studios is they're the only ones who got bought out, twice. The goal is to get bought out and leave the new owners with all the debt you never planned to repay.
