It's been a 10 year show of the utmost incompetence. Not one single movie that wasn't rife with controversy or marred by it's reception. Just a decade of pure failure. That's not even easy to accomplish. They pissed off God.

It's only music from film and TV

    >Warner Bros. Discovery is negotiating to sell around half of the storied Warner studio’s film and TV music-publishing assets for approximately $500 million, three sources confirm to Variety. The news was first reported by Hits.

    >While it is unclear exactly which assets are on the table, one source says that the rights to “slightly less than half” of the catalog, with a price of around $500 million, are likely to go to a major label, with Sony said to be in the lead. The catalog is believed to include music from such films as “Purple Rain,” “Evita,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Rent,” several “Batman” films and many more titles, as well as songs included in iconic films such as “As Time Goes By” from “Casablanca” — iconic titles to be sure, but again, it is unclear exactly which rights are in play. Top attorney Allen Grubman is said to be overseeing the deal for Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav.

He wasn't bragging and he was defending Batman Begins. Critics asked him if he thought movies like Batman Begins, described by the critic as dark and gritty, were going to be the norm.
He defended Batman Begins saying that BB wasn't dark nor that gritty, it was grounded and cool. If the movie had been truly dark Bruce Wayne as a pretty boy would have been raped in that Chinese prison, not be called to train kung-fu with ninjas.

If they sell off the music licensing rights would they have to pay whoever buys them if they wanted to release a movie that had sold music on it on Blu-ray or something?
Or is this just for the rights to use the music outside of the movies they are from? Like if you wanted to release the soundtrack on vinyl or include one of the songs in a new movie?
