That episode with the Slade hallucination gave me nightmares. Didn't help with how the episode ended.
That shit made me paranoid as frick. I want another show to do something like that with the main hero and his villain. The best part is when Raven goes into his mind and tries to ease his pain and then Slade shows up and decks her in the fricking face and she just gets up screaming his name. His hallucination was so powerful that it could even hit her in his mind. That's some strong shit.

Because the comic audience is different compared to the show audience. It sucks the character designer for the show died a couple years ago
It sucks so much because now even if we do eventually get a Season 6, or a new Ben 10 (the reboot doesn't count), he was the heart and soul of those shows and they won't be anywhere near the same quality without him.
Slade was always a predator. Even in the most kid-friendly stuff like DC Super Hero Girls, his sole appearance is an entire episode spent with him in a house alone with two nubile teenage girls.
