The reason I say this is because a major aspect of their time in the first two seasons is that they were never in situations that forced them to make a change in themselves. Grime and Andrias are there to constantly reinforce their tendencies while Anne is forced to reevaluate her actions and beliefs daily.
I think it would be entertaining to watch Sasha and Marcy as two highly competent individuals in a fantasy world, but I also don’t think they should get too much exposure since they’re ignoring their development for the first two seasons.
They can have a few more episodes to further showcase the relationships they forge in Amphibia and their backgrounds, but the focal point should remain on Anne.

I did watch the show and I don’t see how this is such a bold conclusion to come to. Sasha and Marcy are clearly encouraged to keep acting on their pre-Amphibia tendencies while Anne is forced to shape-up in a farming community who won’t take her shit. Where’s the lie in any of this?

I don't take any issue about the show not needing a ton of screentime with Sasha and Marcy, because they don't develop that much in through Seasons 1 to most of Season 2. We can all agree we should have had more of them in the final season because they were developing near the tail end of Season 2, it's only logical they'd be more prominent in Season 3. Sadly they weren't and that's where Season 3 really stumbles in my opinion.

A few episodes (2-4) showcasing them is really all they needed. Especially come Season 3. I'm a little disappointed Matt and co didn't do that.

Overall not even trying to push a ship it really did feel like Anne and Sasha were a couple and Marcy was Anne’s third wheel friend. I know they weren’t but that was the time they gave off and I’ve been there before only diffrence is in my case I was the third whee that stole my old friends girlfriend. I kinda half regret it he was a cool guy but at the same time it’s how I lost my virginity. They were also toxic as frick together which is how I kinda happened since they kept making me a buffer since I knew both of them.
The only scene in the show that puts doubt on their friendship was Darcy saying that it was doubtful that Sasha and Marcy were ever friends. Whether she was lying or actually basing her judgment on Marcy’s memories is unclear.
Yeah that’s the problem it leads us back to nothing, but them telling us and never showing us there friendship.
At least it seems like Sasha’s starting to put in actual effort in her friendship with Marcy after the timeskip, reading Marcy’s webcomic and letting Marcy stay with her for a few weeks.
