Was Batman in the right to have such deadly contingency plans for the League?

Was Batman in the right to have such deadly contingency plans for the League? Pretending to be friendly with them just to find out their weakness? Should he have at least told them prior to when all hell broke loose?

Yeah. What Batman antagonist is going to be a threat against Superman or Wonder Woman or Green Lantern?

Joker Poison Ivy Prometheus Scarecrow and Clayface have defeated all 3 of those characters

        That’s pretty wild in concept

    Did he kill them?

He purposefully designed them to be as non-deadly as possible. He makes a paragraph how it’s hard to make contingencies for Clark because Kryptonite by its nature will kill him if he uses too much, so he had to make a new type that is crippling but won’t kill him no matter what

I mean he gave The Flash epileptic seizures at the speed of light that felt like they lasted for days when it was only 20 minutes and Wonder Woman was gonna die for a heart attack
      That's pretty deadly imo

it's alwasy right to have contingency plans for worst case scenarios, and for what I remmember they weren't that deadly, plus it has the benefit to been usefull in cases of other characters with similar powers.
He should have told them that the plans existed but batman must be batman and be an asshold from time to time

The Justice League itself. Even Batgod can't take on everyone swarming him at once.

Yes he can. The recent Failsafe arc confirmed he was lying to them to be nice when he said that, Superman himself said out loud the league can't take him when he has contingencies against all of them. That's why he built Failsafe.

It's been a while, but from what I remember the real problem wasn't so much the contingencies but Batman's years of being a jerk who didn't trust any of them and thus gave them no reason to continue trusting him.

If he told them about the plans then if they went evil they'd take him out first, defeating the whole purpose
Heck, in a more recent issue Hal confirmed if he went evil he would kill Batman first specifically because he knows Batman has contingencies and is therefore the biggest threat
