I rewatched some classic smosh, kinda funny. There is some comedic talent and decent delivery to them, though some of the references would be lost on most later zoomers, like the found footage series that they parodied with the haunted easy bake oven.
I'm okay with where they ended up and I listen to Sardonicast from time to time, but I really miss the peak of IHE, YMS and RTMM (like around 2015-2017). They really helped me broaden my tastes in media. The videos were funny as frick too, at least for 13 year old me.
Nowadays YMS has much more quantity over quality, IHE since both his podcasts aren't popular I assume he has some real job, and Ralph just seems kind of tired. I hope they're all doing alright.

The old days of rant youtube videos were unironically the peak of the entire website. Just a bunch of nobodies putting their thoughts out for their own sake.
YouTube used to be a site mostly for people putting stuff out for fun. Not as a job or profit. Monetizing it kinda ended videos as a hobby. Everybody now talks about how you have to make videos this way or that. All because they want money and views.
And the thing is, making videos full time means you're at YouTube's mercy. And I think there's a certain genuine quality that is lost by selling your creativity out to advertising revenue.
But that's just my smelly popinyot.

If there is one thing I regret, it's watching these people back in the day.
I rewatched some classic smosh, kinda funny. There is some comedic talent and decent delivery to them, though some of the references would be lost on most later zoomers, like the found footage series that they parodied with the haunted easy bake oven.
I'm okay with where they ended up and I listen to Sardonicast from time to time, but I really miss the peak of IHE, YMS and RTMM (like around 2015-2017). They really helped me broaden my tastes in media. The videos were funny as frick too, at least for 13 year old me.
Nowadays YMS has much more quantity over quality, IHE since both his podcasts aren't popular I assume he has some real job, and Ralph just seems kind of tired. I hope they're all doing alright.
Yeah YMS hopped on the content wagon hard with not just streaming but also both a highlights and clip channel.

You're assuming Linkara has a significant reach. For years now his subscriber count hovered around 150K subs and hasn't moved much.
I suspect Linkara hates Razorfist for having a more successful YouTube channel and being a more successful indie comic writer.
