The only thing i know about this movie is the starting of the one smash mouth music video. Also wtf happened to ben stiller? Seemed like he used to pump out movies then just sort of disappeared
Mystery Men is inconsistent. It has some very clever deconstructions of the super hero genre back when it was still novel but the jokes are all over the place. Ben Stiller himself kinda sucks in it while William H Macy and Geoffrey Rush (as our villain Casanova Frankenstein) are doing work every second they're on the screen.
I'm not sure that anyone who has been watching something like The Boys would get much out of it.
maybe not kino, but i think it’s a very interesting movie. it’s absolutely worth a watch. the villains and world had so much thought put into them. i think it’s hilarious that they’re all dated, because it has been decades since any of them were relevant (since Casanova was put away) … it’s a gestalt, the sum is greater than its parts. DISCO IS LIFE!
Ahead of its time
Unironically, i can see it being a big summer comedy hit in today's capeshit world
It wasn't funny and that bald chick is annoying
Its so unfunny it becomes funny
It has some flaws but it's good for a watch.
It’s pretty comfy but also sort of a mess. Also rare example of a team where the token girl is the coolest member
Only for the Sphynx's aphorisms
>When you can balance a tack hammer on your head, you will head off your foes with a balanced attack.
Yes.
Blue Raja is pure kino

Made his money and got out presumably
He thought he was that Walter Mitty guy for real and nobody could convince him otherwise.
You mean Steve Carell
>schizoid personality: the movie
I forgot about that
Zoolander 2 flopped so hard it unironically shattered his confidence and creative drive
Though apparently Severance is good
Severance is indeed good.

It's nuts that he was surprised at the reception to Zoolander 2.
I know stiller is israeli af but Im not sure if he was supportive of the trans/non binary shit or he was making fun of them with this scene
It was hilarious, best capekino
The first iteration of 'All Star' being used to promote a film
Mystery Men had the deepest lore
Whatever happened to the bad guy's main henchman? I don't ever see him in movies anymore...
you mean eddie izzard? he got fake breasts
>Not using the setup to make some joke at Eddie Izzard's expense.
C'mon, man.
The shoveler is one of my unironic favorite heroes.
He was also completely innocent of Captain Amazing's death
Homelander is a complete ripoff of Captain Amazing, personality-wise. Also holy shit checked.
>bmwf superhero relationship
He shovels well, really well.
wmbf*
S-grade millennial schlockino
pure cringe
You fricking serious??? Trying to be funny?
YOU FRICK WHAT IS FRICKING WRONG WITH YOU????????????????????????????????????
no sir, I didn't like it.
you shut your fricking mouth and take a seat in the moron chair anon. Frick you.
no sir, i didnt like it
Ben Stiller super power was pretty cool
?t=100
I wish I could pull off the Mr Furious look

It’s pretty great, though the tone is kind of all over the place. Captain Amazing’s death is wildly horrific in what is otherwise a pretty tame movie
That's the 90s for you.
>the more you sneed your feed, the more you feed your sneed
the entire movie spans a timeframe of a day and half or so
