No, not *that* bad, but still a disappointment. My principal complaint with this film is that it's too often boring. The scenes on Tatooine are stiff and lifeless, and Shmi Skywalker is a dull nothing character. I actually like the Chinese Trade Fed aliens but they don't get much screentime.

I'm just going to say it, but the first half of ANH is boring as sin. So any criticism about pacing towards TPM will be levied against it aswell.
The Podrace and Darth Maul fights make up for everything that's kind of dumb about it. And I still think Jar Jar is funny.
