if the guitar playing we hear prior to that statement being made is what Lars heard then yes it absolutely did. That being said Lars did nothing of value on that album anyway
No, Kirk, and I say this as a guitargay who spent too much time trying to learn his solos. He was the least essential part of the band. Lars may not be much of a drummer but he started the band and was part of the core. The band would have fallen apart without him.
Actually, Lars and Kirk does the solos cause James, in his own words, don't know shit about soloing
How much did Kirk contribute to the composi5ion of their songs? Was it all James,Burton/Jason.
Kirk contributes a riff here and there. Burton has surprisingly few credits, 9 across the first 3 albums, for all the dickriding fans give his theoretical knowledge. Jason barely has any credits, but he did write the Blackened riff.
>Purists will call you a gay if you like these.
A serious problem with the "metal community." I've had homosexuals on Cinemaphile say that if you like Burzum, you're not a real fan of black metal and you have normie tastes. There is something seriously wrong with these people. Like they have actual mental deficiencies or something. I've been listening to all kinds of metal for decades, but could never stomach talking to other metal fans for long, because they all do it. They're actual fricking morons.
>You guys woke me up and said, “you know what, you’re out” And I asked you, “what, no warning?” I said, “no second chance?” And you guys said, “no, go”
>Was it stock or not?
I avoided this album for almost 20 years based solely on its infamous reputation before finally giving it a chance for the first time last year. My impartial assessment is that it's at least 70% stock. That leaves a surprising 30% that's actually not bad at all. Maybe it helps that I went into it expecting it to be the absolute worst album I've ever heard in my life, so it was actually a lot better than I was expecting. Overall though, that gay in your picture was correct.
*MUNCH* *MUNCH* *MUNCH* *MUNCH*

I dunno, the pots and pans he bangs on always makes me laugh.
Lars never did anything of value for Metallica. He's a terrible drummer.
he apparently helped make the Enter Sandman riff into what we know today
Yeah, by stealing it from another band
damn I like that production
lars IS metallica. he built it and he runs it. james works for him.
Shitallica has always been stock
The haircut? Yes very much since Eminem started that ugly trend
This is the only time that hairstyle looked cool.
Ok kid
>James tries to shit on the drum beat
>Lars reworks it with double bass and puts it into the breakdown part of Sweet Amber
If the ingredients are good, it doesn't matter the amount of stock.
Kirk Hammett is not a great guitar player. Not by metal standards, which are quite high.
C'mon guys, let's beat each other off instead of beating on each other
I heard Unforgiven on the radio at work today for the first time in ages and it struck me how off-pitch that big climax bend in his solo is.
Just went and listened. Yeah, that was pretty bad. Kirk should have just been a blues player instead.
was he gonna make a move or not?
how come James, Jason, and Robert are the only guys who sound like they practiced
how are you gonna be in the biggest metal band in the world and not keep up your skills
It should've been Lars.

He just writes the solos, and I'm pretty sure at least half of those are actually written by James.

band would've ended then
Exactly
Kirk was supposed to have his bunk
The notes in between are fricking with me
It was stock but that non-beat beat was not. The singer was right
they were all out of Mustaines riffs at this point
I love 'The Black Album', 'Load' and 'Reloaded'. Purists will call you a gay if you like these.
'The Black Album' is where they sold out.

I'm mildly in anger with you
>You guys woke me up and said, “you know what, you’re out” And I asked you, “what, no warning?” I said, “no second chance?” And you guys said, “no, go”
Biggest favor they ever did him.
>NOOO YOU CAN'T JUST PARTY AND GET DRUNK WHEN YOU'RE 20 IN A TOURING METAL BAND IN THE 80s YOU FRICKING MONSTER GET OUUUT
Shut up
>ONE GUY?
>NO CONTINUES?
He coulda been the next Bjorn Borg. Instead we got this. Worth it, Cinemaphile? You tell me...
