She knew what "Metzitzah B'peh" is, and said it was the reason she hated israelites.

Not really. All the autists I've dealt with had fixations similar to hers, but her social problems are entirely self made vs autists inescapable tism mucking everything up. She is proven to be aware of her surroundings even moreso than most normie chick's I've met, and her insults and comments are all pertaining to the subject and exhibit a deep understanding of abstract concepts. I think she's just a teenage girl who is well read and isn't a big sellout but like most teens falls prey to peer pressure at times in spite of being aware of the lunacy on some level. She also never has weird ticks or stresses, albeit some weird taste in media consumption and a very understandable vilification of mainstream shit.

B&B Daria is proto daria from a different continuity. Show Daria was canonically 15 in 1997.

Yeah, you could say the proto daria is Gen X but real Daria is a Millennial

I feel like if Daria were to have children, she'd suffer from the same problem that her mother sort of had where her focus was more on her career than her family.

              Anonymous

I think she'd be an even worse mom, as she would hold contempt for her children unless they were like her. My mom is like that since I think she has Asperger's too, where she doesn't like my brother despite looking more like her since he's the opposite personality wise

The whole idea of her character was that she was a surprisingly well-adjusted person, despite what her outward demeanor would initial lead you to believe. With almost all of her problems being self-made.

To be fair, if she was friends with anyone other than Jane or maybe Jodie, she would have been dragged down and ended up a mediocre adult. Sometimes being a loner is better as a teen if everyone else is moronic.

        Anonymous

Jodie was surprisingly flexible in the kind of friends she had, considering Brittany and Kevin were apart of her friend group. Her being pals with Daria would've probably not been out of the question.
