I'd say the exact opposite tbh. Most cartoons nowadays are trash.
I remember liking it as a kid, rewatched some of it recently and it's kinda boring but I get the appeal.
Just nostalgia.
For most people it doesn't hold up on a rewatch, especially people who grew up reading the Archie comics.

i watched it on YT like a year ago and enjoyed it just fine and I used to get up early to catch both Sonic and Reboot on ABC. I'm not going to tell you shits perfect but I legit think it's a pretty unique and entertaining cartoon.
i will say especially compared to the treatments the mario bros got, where they are just a couple of bumbling morons that fall ass backwards into victory, it was great seeing sonic as actually cunning and heroic. had at least a little bit of heart too, sonic really cared about things.
It has probably the best animation DiC ever made but that's because Sega of America was footing the bill. The plot itself it just gritty 90s furries with Sonic thrown in.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 shit the bed.
I actually prefer Season 2. Had more consistent arcs.
I didn't like that it sidelined half the cast and went into some weirder directions. Season 1's atmosphere was top notch. Plus some of the redesigns were worse.

It was okay, a decent Saturday morning cartoon for a video game character back in the 90s.
I recommend checking out the webcomic series that continues. It's been running for a long ass time and is still active.

Both. It's very above average as far as Saturday morning action cartoons go, but it doesn't affect me now the way it did when I was a kid. Also, Antoine is such a shit character that I wonder if he was contractually obligated

It's in the tippy top tier of all Sonic media, for what that's worth. Easy tie for best cartoon with AoSTH.
It's okay, but it would have been better with Antoine as the protagonist.
I watched it for the first time a few years ago and I remember liking it for the most part. I think it is overhyped but it was pretty good for what it was. I have no nostalgia for it since I never saw it as a kid but I do have a ton of nostalgia for old Sonic so that might have factored in
Overrated as frick and boring as shit. Satam was a nothing cartoon with sonic slapped on it. I had more fun with Aosth and Sonic X than this show.
Ok typical adventure kids cartoon that misremember as really smart story driven dark cartoon when reality it wasn't that and not dark at all besides villains but villains are always dark.
Always bugged me how Tails was never really a main character just kinda of a kid like yeah he is a kid but Tails is Sonic best friend and shit and he should be like Robin to Sonic Batman.
Funnily enough, Tails is actually the single reason Robotnik is defeated, in the end.
Tails was supposed to be developed more into one of the main characters during the second season. Then ABC forced the team to do an hour's worth of Antoine episodes, which caused that whole plotline to be cut and delayed by a season that never came
