I haven't seen all his films but he has a fair few films that are sufficiently decent while also being different enough to garner a cult following. >Beetlejuice >Edward Scissorhands >The Nightmare Before Christmas (he didn't direct but he still has a good claim over it) >Corpse Bride >Sweeney Todd
If you were an alt-teen/goth/emo in the early/mid 00s, he was your guy.
You forgot the best one >Pee Wee's Big Adventure
He got worse progressively over time from fart sniffing his own visual style and leaning so far into it that he ruined it
it's an ok adaptation honestly, stays mostly true to original work. suffers from a lot of cut songs including ALL of the chorus numbers, so I'd prefer to watch the original broadway one if you really want to see it as it's intended.
Yeah that's my thoughts too, when I saw it in the cinema I was furious that they cut The Ballad of Sweeney Todd, but I eventually forgave it as the parts it does show are pretty great.
Not really no. Rightly shows psychology, judges, government etc as degenerate scum who should be killed, but it also has a tragic end. While that may be the norm, or dramatic, I don't like it. I think the artists responsible for it should be killed too.
They reveled in the wrong going on. And that someone doing something about it makes them evil, a "demon".
He's the hero untill the ending.
It's a good story, no, it's unusally honest, control in the world being that of the worst. A horrible world that is sentimental due to some veauty surviving in it, quickly destroyed in all cases supposedly.
The harsher the conditions the more impressive for things to be fragile, right.
The lack of wholely utopian alternatives makes me feel some of this movie is good, entirely even.
Also feels like no character could be any other way. Extremes of whatever they are.
Revenge isn't much in my makeup. Nor is giving up on love.
I wouldn't accept it.
Rescue is harder. Look for her in the mental institution. Free what I could. A lack of cops, cameras and computers makes courage viable. Once outside bars the people would be free. It's a struggle to exist, without work you're fricked, but theres a chance out of hell.
As I see it the scum in the world don't matter. They aren't a priority and dismissing them damns them to eachother. Work on what deserves attention and help.
Make an alternative to the rest. Otherwise it may not exist at all.
It does give that message, warning, that if you give up and make your life about revenge/fury/whatever killing what did extreme wrong to you and yours, you lose sight of what is right, don't recognize it. Dismiss it. See it's all bad.
I suppose the audience would have boo'd it if Todd unbecame a "monster" and recognised her. Abandoned his revenge.
The bastards want a grizzly end, to be affirmed as acceptable. To laugh to eachother that nothingness and it's institutions is better than bad ends because of naievity or passion.
That caring at all is mad, invalid.
Few people could make up, or draw from themselves, a good end, a better way.
Might have tried mid way and it seemed ridiculous. Less powerful and investable than evil.
Evil. Holy, good etc are typically wrong. Evil being the word reserved for independent and alive. Need to stop supporting what presents themselves as right. They tortured for compliance. Slaves for stupidity.
I like to see some "evil" as in real women, real men, wherever they are. But it's a lie the judges, priests, shrinks etc are required. They aren't a product of them.
been ages since I saw it but I recall it being good
idk but would to breed Helena
>sticking dick in crazy
ngmi
Get in line
The face of a man who has been in that
I want her to breed me
This. Bloody hot hag
It was Tim Burton's last good movie!!!FACT!!!
For such a high profile director he really does have a very mediocre filmography.

You forgot Big Fish which wasn’t emo at all save for maybe one scene
You forgot the best one

>Pee Wee's Big Adventure
can't believe I was memed into watching this shit.
yes your shit taste is unbelievable
It's pretentious and adored by chubby alt girls.
probably his best this century
Yes, comfy for winter too.
She cute.
Frankenstein is my favourite of her early work.
Kenneth Branaghs fave too i bet
Yeah, she's gorgeous in it.
Great film. One of Burton's best.
People just got filtered because they didn't expect it to be a musical
I think the final shot goes on a little too long, where it goes from being tragic to just kinda gross
Yes.
>WHO SIR
>YOU SIR
>HOW ABOUT A SHAVE?
it was good
but the musical is fantastic

I wanted more puns during A little priest.
I still want Burton to adapt the Scarlet Pimpernel.
she is pure sexo like no one else. why did god only make one specimen of this woman? its not fair.
I'm more a fan of her Sweeney breasts.

Maybe right, evil, whatever, ahh, lost it.
Dwelt too long on giving names.
Yes, despite Depp's "singing".
